Onslaught is almost certainly a Long Haul retool, Hot Rod reminds me of Roadbuster from DOTM, maybe Nitro IS a Shockwave retool as well.

If Onslaught's a Long Haul retool, his transformation would have to be totally different now. It's not impossible, but he'd have to be basically backwards and probably do a couple other odd tricks (I'm not sure where the actual crane come it)...

Sabrblade wrote:Though, the design that both Nitro and the KSI Boss are based on was originally a tutorial DVD design created by Josh Nizzi back in 2009. :-B

Heh, I remember seeing that on his site listed under, like, "Personal Projects" or something obviously separate from Transformers, back during DotM or something. It was a little surreal seeing it posted again as "new" when the Age of Extinction concept art first started making the rounds.

They've been in Norway for a while. It's pretty weird, really, because all the TLK Deluxe Class figures in wave 1 are here, (as well as all of the Legends/Legions from wave 1) but the only Voyager is Grimlock... Optimus is no-where to be seen. :-(

Strange seeing so many retools used strictly as exclusives, especially for key movie characters. Most likely these versions of Hotrod, Onslaught, and Nitro are repaints of figures that will be available in the main line. The rest, probably not. That's a pretty unusual thing for Hasbro to do.

As for Onslaught being a backwards Longhaul, don't forget that they're using that same trick with the new Drift being a backwards AOE Drift.

Hot Rod looks rather like Cogman to me.

Does anybody else find it a bit odd that Onslaught is green? I would've understood blue. Gray would've made the most sense to me, as it would fit in with the movie aesthetic.

Anyway, let's hope we get the other Combaticons. It wouldn't be the first Onslaught we've gotten that didn't combine...

I'm just glad we are getting an Onslaught... I don't care if it is an exclusive or a retool, just happy one is being released.

its unusual, i will give you that. it was unusual for RID Starscream which was TRU exclusive at first. But he was eventually released wide (months later).

but here, what is odd is that we all know the rundown of all main line figures (in code names) and that list has been confirmed by multiple sources around the planet. Its the same breakdown everytime and the only one left unknown is one deluxe. and that list doesnt include these exclusives. So it really seems like they wont get a wide release. Could be worse, all AOE deluxe toys were TRU exclusives in England :(

So is there not gonna be a Helicopter Drift? Or maybe he dropped the triple-changing between movies?

I don't exactly see why he would've dropped the triple changing. Seems pretty practical to me. Either way, I'd love to see the skyhammer mold in red!

And Megatronus, but he was also released in the main line with a new head at normal retail. So we've established a precedence with TRU.

But how many waves do we know? Just the first for sure and parts of what comes after from Toy Fair, right? As far as I know we don't know how many waves we're getting, so there's a chance of them being released later on. It isn't like the main TLK line is any stranger to repaints and remolds.

Something else to consider: We've been getting a lot of leaks for TRU, but nothing official, right? What about Walmart and Target exclusives, where are those? Can't imagine they wont have any at all. I think there's a lot we still don't know.

It's amazing that they haven't repainted Generations Springer into Drift yet.

Yeah, I really hope they base Hot Rod off a Bumblebee instead of Roadbuster/Lockdown. I am done with that mold and Rod looks more like Bee

I thought the same thing, though I feel it would take some serious remolding to be able to match the movie aesthetic and all its... point bits.

We already deduced them all except for 1 deluxe figure. And this list excludes those TRU exclusives.

They could rerelease his one step, those have not all been revealed.

I dont think we will see a helicopter drift aside from that.

I thought about that also, but it seems to me that would be very difficult as they would have to make the vehicle look like that of his movie counterpart. They're two different aesthetics that I would be very interested to see combined but I can also imagine being a very difficult task.

Transformers: The Last Knight Wave 3 Bumblebee Instructions with Cannon Arm Swap Leaked

PostPosted: Tue Apr 11, 2017 1:18 pm
by D-Maximal_Primal
Seibertronian AwesomePow has let us know that yet another leak has sprung in the toyline for Transformers: The Last Knight from our typical Weibo user 同时转发到我的微博. This time, we get a peek at the instructions for the wave 3 Bumblebee figure, which appears to be a new mold incorporating design cues from earlier Bee's. One new thing to point out though is that Bee now has a replacement arm, so you can pop his left forearm off and replace it with his cannon arm, so he can either have a hand or a cannon. The extra limb appears to store under his backpack area. Check out the image below, and stay tuned for more Last Knight news!

The one steps were at my TRU today. tried to buy em (because we have a line wide discount) but as soon as it was scanned, the cash froze up with a message displaying "cant purchase until April 24" insted of the price.

yeah but we already have actual video reviews showing the transformations for those, so there isnt really new stuff to see compared to this bumblebee that we technically havent even seen a live image of the actual robot mode.

Not when he was shown to be green a long time ago.

It's just another name reuse. He's no more a Combaticon than Brawl was in the first movie.

Oh this figure just gets more appealing all the time. I love that it lets you have his hand and a cool big cannon arm (rather than the feeble looking ones when they have it so his hand swings away and gun swings out) and you can store the cannon in his back if you want. Damn why is this wave 3? I want it now.

edit: hadn't noticed before but this one's got the lower smaller wings on his back too it seems like?
