My Encore 20A Devastator.

I haven't ever got Hook or Bonecrusher into robot mode. They were so tight, the plastic felt like it would snap (it was bending).

I guess that means I need another Devastator to have in robot modes, too ;)

I don't think so. It IS the OFFICIAL figures forum afterall.

Must be a bad batch. But is the question, design wise due to the complexity or hard because the molds made the parts too tight?

No probs with my Encore20A.

Another line that is hard (due to the complexity) are the MP cars. I'm afraid I may break them with all the compact panels (Convoy,Lambor,WJ and BB) UM is quite easy.

Yeah, the whole point is that we are comparing toys that are from the same corporate partnership. 3 P is all over the place so it's not as relevant. That's just transforming toys rather than ransformers toys and it's the same as people coming in and saying that the Macross figures are tough. No point in comparing, it's different transforming toys. So let's just stick to hasbro and Takara here. And we have a 3 p forum if ever people want to talk about that there.

I'm going to second this one. Typically, the robot-to-vehicle transformations are more frustrating when trying to get all of the panels tabbed together, but Drift seems to be trying my patience more than any other. I keep double-checking how everything is sitting, and it's like, "I got it right, dammit; stop popping apart!"

Also, I'm going to throw out that, moreso during the past year and particularly with the Generations line, the instructions are becoming less clear and even skipping entire steps sometimes. It's frustrating because my son is getting just old enough for "big kid" TFs, and we're getting him the CW Protectobots for his birthday, but I'm worried that if he's trying to transform them when I'm not around, the process (when hampered by incomplete instructions) might become more of a chore than a fun part of the experience.

I dont get it for Drift, I found that toy totally delivered on the promise Takara and hasbro gave us to have a more streamlined transformation without jeapordizing aesthetic and (and in his case, vehicle integration, which was amazing). I am sure he may be annoying to some people but he is far from being at the same difficulty level as others mentioned previously.

As someone who has been into the franchise since he was was little, I can usually figure out how to transform any figure, first try, no instructions. I've found that most of the toys on this list (that I have) have given me no trouble. (I hope it doesn't sound like I'm bragging, I'm just very logically minded.)

There have, of course, been exceptions:

Energon Slugslinger. I couldn't have been older than seven, I'd thrown out the packaging, and wasn't even sure what his jet mode was even supposed to look like. It took me years before I could do it all by myself.

WFC Optimus. Not my own, my brother's, but it took us so long to figure out how all those panels went we finally resorted to video reviews. The only TF I've ever had to do that with.

Primus was only difficult because I was like seven and he was a foot tall.

I got that 'Slug' redeco of Guiledart last year. Into robot mode was simple enough, back into dino mode? Like a half hour to figure out how the shell goes.

Also, I can never seem to get Generation Rattrap legs into rat mode the right way, Universe Prowls doors are cursed to fall off whenever he transforms.

...This my longest post ever.
