It would be nice, though they wouldn't have the sparking gimmick, but hey, if it means the Firecons actually get SOME articulation then that's a good thing!

Wasn't there some subline in TLK that had a sparking gimmick? Hasbro isn't afraid to do it.

My local walmart really surprised me today. The wvae 1 TLK stuff still isn't moving, but RiD and TR had restocks. We finally got Skyhammer (Long after I actually got him) and the Soundwave wave from RiD (which is new here). Didn't get any of those.

But, I did get TR Twintwist, Misfire, Windblade, and Octone. All are really good feeling figures, I will share more detailed thoughts in the TR thread once I've played with them some more, but all feel really good.

Just snagged myself a copy of Titans Return Deluxe Class Kup. This guy is incredible and such a faithful homage to his G1 design in both modes. It was the last one at my local hobby store called Nexus.

They only had one of him and the rest were overstocked with other deluxe class from the same line.
However i'm disappointed with how the tech specs are being handled.

Only Strength Speed Intelligence and Firepower are shown.
What happened to the rest of the specs in this toyline why are the stats for Endurance,Rank, Courage and SKill missing. (why has hasbro omitted these stats)

Blitzwing is a little annoying. All 3 modes are really nice, but that leg/thigh tab is extremely difficult to get right. About 10 minutes and a few pained fingers later I finally got it. Haven't really played with Octane yet, but I have a very positive initial impression of him.

I've run into this on both Megatron and Blitzwing. The good news is it seems to be temporary. After the first 1-2 times of getting the leg/thigh tab in there it became much easier. Also, I find it easier to get them tabbed by leaving the panel on the back of the legs open, so you can push on the leg from behind, then close the panels once the tabs are in. Also, I've found it easiest to tab each leg/thigh individually first, close the panels on the back of the legs, then tab the 2 legs to each other last.

It's encouraging that the tab issue is temporary. I had such a hard time doing it once that I wasn't planning on transforming it back to bot mode any time soon.

Snagged myself the ninja master and Phase Sixer:

Titans Return Revolver & Six Shot

With tightish knees if I may add :) Haven't played with him that much yet, but I did notice almost right away that the hip skirts and top of the arms are in a slightly different green than the rest of the body. For someone like me, it sticks out

*cue the Seven Force theme*

Really not a Combiner Wars fan at all but this whole lot for £15 in my local charity shop seemed too good a deal.

Image

Also I think I have TLK Hot Rod coming tomorrow via Asda's click n collect thing (didn't realise til recently you could get one delivered for free to your local small non-toy-stocking Asda to buy)

He's pretty decent! I have Wheeljack on there instead of Mirage (though he looks better than Wheeljack, but He's on Cyclonus), and he is alright. BC Prime is a great voyager by itself. I did find I like him better without Rodimus on there though, at least for me.

Still, great find for that price!

Individuals. They all seem to be complete. I find that BC Prime is really too basic and blocky for a voyager but it's kinda fun in it's own way I guess. I think Sunstreaker's the worst in robot mode cos he's supposed to be all about how pretty he is but his robot form just looks a cluttered mess. Anyways I'll keep them for a while and when bored I can sell them off seperately. The original prices in stores were I think about £25 for voyager, £17 each for Deluxes and £10 for Legends so that's about £103 worth of TF toys for £15. Yeah that's not too bad.

I mean hey, if you don't like them; I would happily take Sunstreaker, Ironhide and Rodimus off your hands for around the price you paid ;;)

Even though Optimus Maximus is not the best combiner, having the WHOLE FRIGGING TEAM for the price of one deluxe is pretty awesome indeed. ;)^

I finally scored a Nitro Zeus at Walmart yesterday which made me happy because he's been blocked everywhere near me by the 8-10 Grimlocks at every store except for the one I found Nitro at.

I happily got some photos of a very happy Thunderwing TM on finally receiving his body. He looked good, he was happy, I was happy, and Nitro's head looks pretty goon on TR Megatron as well.

Then I went to transform him to jet mode and the damn thing broke 7-8 steps into the first transformation. One of the blades of the crossbow thingy on his left arm just snapped off when I tried to rotate it. Now I'm mad, and Thunderwing is PISSED. Nitro took forever to show up in the midwest and now I have to hope the store I I found him at restocks by the next time I can get there because I of course got the last one.

:BOOM:

Seconded. Get yourself some Transmetals, Kan. I only own three (Waspinator, Tarantulas and Rampage) but they're awesome toys.

i have them all.
so i second your suggestion.
Transmetals are, by far, the best of BW!
Especially,
Rattrap
Tarantulas
and Depthcharge.

oh!
and Terrorsaur!

Now...
Tranmetal II's
are okay too.

but TMs are the bomb!

That Asda click n collect thing worked nicely.

Image

Image

Pros: Great toy in both modes, official Lambo alt-form, nice amount of paint with striking black and red and silver colour scheme, easy to transform without seeming too basic, quite sleek and slender without a bulky backpack.

Cons: red should be more orange (and it should have a bit on the rear of the car), robot mode is only loosely accurate to CG model, no gun (seriously Hasbro for a £25 deluxe i expect some weapon and Hot Rod had a very distinctive gun in the film and cos of his forearm armour it's difficult for any of my spare guns to fit), glory-hog Bumblebee shoving Hot Rod off his own box-photo.

If only it could look more like:

But anyways I'm somehow much more happy with my £25 purchase of this figure (free delivery) than the £15 spent on that whole Combiner Wars team yesterday. Lovely reaistic car mode, fun character from a film I enjoyed, cool overall appearance. Yeah I would love a more accurate robot mode but it's not a bad one at all. :)

And as I have no income now this is probably my last full price new TF for a while (though I have promised myself W3 Bumblebee and Cogman whenever the hell I can find them).

Well after yesterday's angry haul, I have a happy haul for today. These guys and gal arrived from TFSource.

Wave 5 deluxe.jpg

I've got to say I'm extremely pleased with all 3. I like the few subtle new details they worked in for Twintwist versus Topspin. I lucked out and have a nice version with no waist issues on both of my wrecker twins. While Misfire's transformation is a bit more simple than Triggerhappy, the arm/wing transformation was a neat twist that lets him stand apart some. Windblade is a great toy. I like how the feet tuck into plane mode. My only concern is with Windblade and her hands. Specifically her thumbs. I'm having slight childhood flashbacks of about how 1/3 of the GIJoe figures from my youth eventually ended up (with zero ability to hitchhike). I'm going to be extremely careful when sliding the sword/chairs in and out.

I been having a bit of a hard time with that company. I started subscribing right after I bought issue 1 but then realised it was gonna cost me far too much (and I only wanted the Marvel books) so I cancelled a few weeks later. Or I tried. I ended up on phone with a customer service guy I could barely understand but I thought it all got cancelled and I could just buy the issues from shop I wanted. Then the only newsagent in this town that sold these books closed down. And I thought oh well never mind and moved on. Then I got sent more books and a letter asking for the money for them. And then the SAME BOOKS again asking for money. And now this week they've been asking for the money for one set of those books even though I returned both lots a while ago. Now they've accepted I don't have these books anymore after returning them but are now wanting £10.99 for book 6 which I do have but never wanted as I'd cancelled my sub before than and it's Escalation which I have no interest in after having read it back when released in comic form years ago. Even more annoying they're asking for this in the week I find the DWP have messed up and left me with no income (and thus my rent and council tax are gonna be an issue too).

See both deliveries of issues 7 and 8 plus subscriber mug. These arrived over 4 months after i cancelled my sub. I've returned both (even though Wanted Galvatron Dead or Alive IS one of the stories I wanted in hardback).
