I bet that Repugnus don't have his gun. PPPPFFFFTTTT.... [-( [-( [-( [-(

Seriously though, that's one incredible find. Especially if he's not broken and still sparks. ;)^

A bit of a delayed impulse purchase right here. You know the drill, weekly groceries at Walmart, me checking the toys, PotP Wave 1 still, though it finally had Prime Masters in, and some TLK leftovers in the form of Voyager Wave 2 and Berserkers. Remembering the unannounced and unadvertised Rollbacks at a another Walmart I frequent I decided to scan them. Here's the result:

TLKVoyagers.jpg

The Last Knight Voyager Class Megatron
The Last Knight Autobot Hound

Can't beat the price ;)

TLKVoyagersSteal.jpg

Anything else bought is none of your business

Berserker scanned at $4 btw, didn't get him, maybe later, but all in all it's practically 75% off MSRP.

Mail Call today (was supposed to be here yesterday):

20180313_124748.jpg
MP36-Megatron-KO

It is the KO version that is produced from the TT molds and outside of the official production run. I feel insanely privileged to own it though even if it is KO and I've got my second "grail" piece basically. It's great to have it and I feel happy to have it so close to Frank Welker's birthday even. It is fitting.

YOU PAID $7 each?! Dang it!! Shoulda waited!! I paid $10 on Saturday for Megatron. Totally worth it at $10 though ;)^

I really need to get my act together and buy one of those. From the original Takara molds but not during the Takara run, you say? :-?

I'd been considering picking up RID masked Windblade for a while now, but Fires_Of_Inferno were enough to get me to finally get one up off Amazon for about $10 after tax. I have the Japanese Adventure version of the mold which is really great, but this is a surprisingly nice figure, especially since it's a new deco. The paint is better than most RID figures, though the head is kinda loose and the wings keep popping up in jet mode. Maybe I should repurpose her as RID Maxima? :-?

Yep. Found it for about 81 on eBay. Went for one that was highly reviewed. I feel it is worth it. I have yet to transform him, going to work on that tonight here.

No, no gun. And his legs need tightening, but he gets huge sparks.
Finds like that is what started me collecting years ago. It's nice to still come across something cool.
Side note, I also found and bought animated roadbuster ultra magnus(sans hammer) at a resale store a week ago for like 3 bux too.

Each Walmart prices them different, that's all there is.

I was so excited to jump on that eBay 20% off coupon last week, combined with the awesome discount from HTS eBay. Well, lucky me.... I received another incorrect order. Thankfully I got my Sky Shadow. But I also ordered TR Twinferno and received Hot Rod, which I already have. I hope HTS can send me Twinferno, but I'm not optimistic. Their eBay site is sold out of Twinferno, and I know they're going to say it doesn't matter the regular site does have Twinferno in stock because they run it as separate companies. Fingers crossed though.

Last month, A-E sent me MP Sunstreaker even though I ordered MP+ Sideswipe. Guess you win some, lose some.

On a separate note, I put in an order for the wave 2 POTP Dinobots. Amazon has wave 2 deluxes available at MSRP, much to my surprise. I still don't like paying MSRP + tax, but I'll make an exception for Dinobots! Rolled the dice on the other wave 2 figures and hoping for a price sub-MSRP.

So that Optimus have chrome bits?
:-?
Well, I'm really curious about a video review now.
Maybe, just maybe, I may consider him on sale. Especially if he's easier and less annoying to transform than the HFTD Battle Blades Optimus.

No chrome. That's just a trick of camera flash, my cars dome light, and the wee morning hour.

Prime is really decent in hand, and the transformation is very intuitive. I was able to do it with no instructions with ease.

I gotta wonder though, do I like this line so much because PotP is such utter crap? Or is it really quite good?

Too bad for the "chrome" but I still think I should not dismiss that Optimus too quickly.

That they do. I actually like PotP Prime, but that said, it's a children's toy clearly made for children with nostalgic collector nods thrown in. At least that is how it feels to me.

The Studio Series feels like it was made with the collector in mind first.

I feel it is perfection honestly. The joints are tight and it tabs altogether nicely. The only problem I have is making the legs come together to fold the handle of the gun or back into robot mode. I think I may found the trick, but my fingers are always feeling raw after doing it. So I am working on trying to find a trick to do it to make it easier on me.

I got it on eBay for about 80 bucks (with shipping). Like I said, it is the KO version, but produced from the TakaraTomy molds and all that. In my eyes it's the official of unofficial ones you can get here. Either way, it's great for me to have a second grail piece I was after in my collection.

Went into Target looking for Hun-grr and Darkwing but found only a lonely Tailgate. So he was rescued from the wild and brought home to his friends.

I also saw a Leader Rodimus Prime, only the 2nd time I have seen it.

I'm a little late to the game, but finally got around to playing with TR Sky Shadow. I already had Overlord so I knew the mold was money. I don't have as much attachment to Sky Shadow, but it's another great figure. The alt modes look so much more badass than Overlord. Not a bad pickup for around $20.

On a different note, I finally got my order issue with Hasbro resolved, I think (ordered TR Twinferno, received Hot Rod). It took a few days, multiple calls and emails, and at long last, the replacement was finally processed this morning. Although everyone was nice to deal with, I wish I literally didn't need to a few days and all those calls and emails to get it resolved. I swear, Amazon customer service has ruined it for me, and I can't tolerate anything worse.
