EMS supposedly delivers to the front doorstep and is faster + tracking. In the country I'm assigned in, you have to picj it up the Airport hub and you get slammed with a lot of taxes.

That last sentence refers to EMS?

Yup. Unfortunately. That's why I avoid it like a plague :BOOM:

I made one a while ago, but it didn't take. :???:

And I just made a new one:

http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/transformer-toys-now-available-online-t104499.php

I think we should have threads for the different retailers - Amazon, HTS... then maybe a catchall for the import sites (HLJ, AmiAmi, Anime-Export, etc.).

Its better to start with one and see where it goes. We can always split it after. And while that might mean more work later, I would rather that than spend a bunch of time doing something that no one will use. For now, let's keep talking about these new girls.

You were probably not at all referring to this, but for some dumb reason, I am now thinking of the Indian in the Cupboard movie and the scene where they are watching MTV and this song plays and all you hear is : "Girls Girls Girls"

It also reminded me of that Gabo commercial in the Simpsons.

I put Slipstream on presies. I agree with Will that the WB mold is a tad sketchy, but I am so down with the idea of a fem Seeker. Guess I'm a sucker for a pretty face. I think that head sculpt looks great.

On the fence over Lady Bird. Not really interested in the character, but she's got this knight armour thing going on that I can't stop looking at. (I know she's a ninja, thanks, but I like knights better.)

Can't justify BA ( :MR-T:  ) I have 3 different molds of her including that one. Plus I think the Beast Machines BA is the quintessential for me.

I'm actually super excited for Nightbird. I may cancel my preorder for Blackarachnia, but that all depends upon how she looks with colour. If she is more BY looking than Animated or Prime looking I'll keep her and maybe try to make/find some pincer weapons for her to hold. Slipstream I'm still mulling over. I like the Windblade mold enough, and I want lady robots more present in my collection. But I don't know what to do though, cuz my lady is starting to notice my spending habits on Transformers lol.

I've already warned her about Devastator. Plus I have a friend at the TRU just down the street from me who says I can use his employees discount on anything I want to. So yeah. It has also become my responsibility to ensure that we have an f-load of shelves put up for her stuff lol.

Very lucky of you! What is the employee discount? Better than 20%? By the way, I have the same problems with the wife. But since she knows I am good at finding deals and managing my finances, she is way more worried about the space than the money being spent. And with a baby soon, there is one less room to store TFs in.

15%. Not super great but still better than retail or online+shipping.

I don't see why someone is SO getting his knickers in a bunch concerning this. Unless you sticky the Online retailer thread he keeps on posting about, posting it here is most convenient to help "assist" some of the recently converted to online purchases. It's like share the loot  around. So long it's focused on the particular product the thread was created for. Also, a convenient way to give fair praise or warning on which retailer to support or avoid. What's soooooooooooooooooo wrong with that? :???:

And.............some of us without the "sticky" would have to go through reams of pages to find it.

^ What Fen said.

See shajster? Nothing wrong about talking about such "luck". Adds a little flavor to the thread. Not really deviating from the subject so far.

Btw, is my suggestion applicable? make a "sticky" about your post on online releases?

I think you misunderstood me Fen. I don't dislike stuff being discussed elsewhere or stuff going a little off topic. But there's always a lot of talk about "where to buy online" and "what are they like" that I assumed the topic was warranted and would become a useful tool (like the Steal of a Deal thread). So its a bit of a bummer when something you put work into doesn't pan out.

I can totally understand that. It's like when I write a list and the first thing I read is: Terrible LIST!!!!!!!!!

If that's what I get for the time I put into it, is it worth it?

Or when Seibertron has a new gallery and the first comment you read is: Mistransformed!!!!

Because it's not on topic. I already said this, I'm not subscribed to a Takara thread to read about retailer return policies. Take it to PM if the other thread is too complicated for you.

Topics stray from time to time, and a thread can't be made for every contingency. When things get out of hand, its taken to PM's and new threads. Not everything I read is "for me" but that doesn't mean I'm going to tell everyone to take it elsewhere.

Oh? A new mod has commeth? Not even Burn is that "strict" when some other poster recycles the same soapbox issue over and over and over and over again. So Now I have to follow the say so of a another poster who has a chip on his shoulder?

The rules:

seibertron-com-energon-pub-forum-rules-and-guidelines-t102927.php#p1639123

4. No pseudo-modding
If there is a problem on the forums, and this can range from someone posting in the wrong section to someone being outright abusive, please do not try to take control of the situation. Simply use the "Report this Post" button, this can be found in the top right hand corner of each post.

How is my post any different from "mooncake" posting the fembots are available at hlj?. Was my post ever abusive? Abusive If I'd say "there's the google search engine bozo, learn to use it!" Of topic? Related to the item at hand. I never heard you complain when someone posts his "scale" issues with a particular product.

But I did suggest wj or shajster to sticky one thread concerning new releases and the online store policies. Being constructive and not going off topic. Which some accusers are equally guilty of ....going waaaaaaay off topic .

I am eager to see what else is different between Takara, Hasbro, and SDCC versions of Devastator. It would just be my luck that Hasbro would have the visor, SDCC have the outstanding paint, and Takara have the individual weapons... 8-} Plus, if I remember correctly, Takara and SDCC Metroplex versions at BBTS were significantly more expensive than Hasbro's, but were comparable to each other. (Of course I may be thing of another Convention exclusive BBTS had and not SDCC...) The SDCC paint is worth the increase in cost to me. Decisions, decisions...

[Edit] Oh, shoot, this isn't the Unite thread! SO much for me trying to bring this back to on-topic...

Given how the extra bells and whistles like SDCC Metroplex gives those companies the reason to jack up the price. Still, maybe the limited collectability is the selling point.

One more accessory and a different color scheme and BAM! Double or triple the price! Yeah, I understand the fact that these are limited and classified as collector items. Without going all Rated X and moan about the injustice, I find myself indulging in these from times to times for many deluxes and some voyagers. However, when the initial price (that will be doubled/tripled) is 100-150$ for Metroplex or Devastator, I say a huge NOPE.

On a side note, the good old Generations Metroplex sell now for 200$ easy on Ebay. Many dare to ask 300$ or even 500$ for it! Metroplex is being Fortmax'd. And ironically, the superior G1 Fortmax Encore #23 is on clearance at 250$ in many places and he's shelfwarming.

These new pictures reinforced my desire for Miss Evil Ninja. For splitstream, I really want too. Finally, Blacky is just "meh". I have the original Animated one and she's not great.

So, I preordered both Ninja and Splitty from Amiami.
Lockdown still have to come. I hope for no damn customs...
