Well gee, now if only they had some new figures for me to actually buy with that sale

For serious if I check this weekend and they actually have a new wave of Deluxes, I'll probably pick at least one up after all. Crosshairs/Bee hopefully if we're up to Wave 3 (which I highly doubt), I suppose Sqweeks if there's only Wave 2. But of course, this is all wishful thinking anyway; maybe I'll avail myself of the deal to finally see what the fuss is about with Barricade...

I'm sorry to say that the lightsabers appear to be $25, it's whatever is over the page that's $12 I think.

Can I consider them unsold? :-P

While not quite as good; we might as well also mention that Hot Rod and Twinferno are available for 13 and Triggerhappy for 10.

They really need to advertise that to me better. This was posted right after I got offline, and it ended about 5 hours after that. I would totally use this 15 off 75+ if they just told me!

I think Australia had a similar thing probably. They sent me an email Thursday morning with the subject line "[Qwan], at 6pm tonight, we're doing something we've never done before." Gee thanks for elaborating. Didn't even say what it was in the actual email, just that they're turning 18 (in Australia) and to join the celebrations at 6pm, plus a bunch of uplifting(?) eBay statistics.

Naturally I totally forgot by that evening and only remembered the next morning, when there was not a trace of a single special deal or anything to be found. (A search reveals that it was 18% off $75+ purchases sitewide, which I suppose is kind of cool, but really - 18%? Wow that $100 Transformer is only gonna be $82 now this is amazing. ) Why they didn't mention what the actual sale was in the email is beyond me; actually knowing what I was waiting for would've helped me to wait for it without forgetting.

So yeah, that got long but I guess the point is eBay, get your advertising together.

I usually find out about these eBay flash sales from another TF site. Interestingly no one posted it and I actually found out from a Voltron site I randomly checked. So yea I agree the advertising for it isn't great.

Our very own dbwells has discovered that JCPenney is having a sale on the Hallmark Optimus ornament. They were also smart to point out that until 9/27 you can apply code 48GOSHOP and get it 25% off in addition to the sale price with free shipping.

If you still need more Transformers on your tree this year, a Hot Rod Ornament has been announced.

Soundwave is part of the line they've been doing of ornaments based on the G1 figures. They've also done Optimus, Megatron, and Grimlock.

This first try at a comic style Optimus isn't very good.

Em, i agree its not as classically styled as the annual released Hallmark Premium ornaments but for the price, i figured it was worth a shot.
We'll see what the reality is once I get him in hand.

Australian Transformers Toy Sales Round-Up: Target, Toys'R'Us, Myer

PostPosted: Sat Oct 07, 2017 7:08 am

Via several posts over on Australian fansite Ozformers, we have a number of toy sales from retailers in the country, spanning across various Transformers toylines and stores! Most of the posts below have been made or re-edited by griffin and user BruiseLee, and we've mirrored them (with credit) below for Australian fans in the Seibertron.com community. Happy hunting!

Myer 20% off full priced toys till Sunday 8th Oct
Image

Toys'R'Us AU - Sale until October 10th
I was at ToysRUs today and saw that they had a few items on sale, and checked out their website for the current catalogue... it's only three Transformers items though (on page 14).

Allspark Tech - $30 (save $5)
Allspark Tech starter pack - $60 (save $10)
Leader - $80 (save $10) (the current Kmart sale has them for $65, so it is best to get TRU to price match that lower price on the Kmart website)

Image

Also, the website notes that they currently have 25% off their clearance items, so if your store has any older Transformers items with clearance tags, you can get an extra 25% off the price (probably some conditions on the website).

Target AU - Sale until October 11
The current Target toy sale catalogue has four Transformers items on sale, and it ends October 11th.

RID Warriors - $24 (save $5)
RID 3-step - $34 (save $5)
TF5 Deluxe - $29 (save $5)
TF5 1-step - $15 (save $4)

The catalogue is here, and the Transformers items are on page 9.
