I want a Titan Class Tidal Wave.
I dont think its impossible, but I can see it being a low priority for HasTak.

Let me second this.

But even if it's not a titan, a commander would be more than sufficient.

Reverse combiner: A Transformer that has robot and alternate modes like normal, but can also split into smaller robots that don't transform on their own. (I don't think a transforming combiner with individual components that also transform would be feasible engineering-wise.)

I'll up the ante by having "bots" that are also completely organic. Like mutated monsters. Just imagine. A Transformers that have absolutely no metal in him. All bone, muscles, and sinews.

...Yeah, I don't think I'm ready to go that far, and I think a lot of people might cry foul on that one. Honestly, I'm thinking more along the lines of giving the next round of updated G1 beast-formers alt modes that could believably pass as the animal in question, or possibly something like a de-transmetalized Depth Charge.

That would basically be TLK Dragonstorm, but also with the Dragonstorm bot mode. There is a Power Rangers precedence: Power Rangers Light Speed Rescue Omega Megazord. And while they don't "transform" these two have multiple unique combinations: Mystic Force Titan Megazord/MagiKing (5 bots to larger bot or dragon and rider) and Time Force Megazord/TimeRobo (5 vehicles to larger jet and two unique bot modes AND combine with Time Shadow Zord). There are others, but I don't know of any more complex than these two. But for something Transformers related, but using fan modes and does use individual Transforming figures then there's always the two Combiner Wars Sky Reign beast modes as demonstrated by Skram:

Just goes to show that turning a combiner into a quadruped beast or walking vehicle is probably the safest bet for something that actually transformers (if only barely).

I'm planning on making a custom combiner that will turn into a big-ass dragon. I'll use two Energon ultra-class bots as the body, two or four combiner limbs as the legs, and another bot that will serve as the head. I'll have to hunt down 3 or 4 more combiner limbs though.

That actually made into the Unite Warriors manga, though just as the humanoid form on all fours.

Something similar to that would fit the description, I suppose, although I'd prefer more than two components.

Omega and Time Force Megazords have vehicle components rather than robots, so they're more a match for the closest Transformers equivalent to a reverse combiner, which would be Tidal Wave, which is cool, but not quite what I was getting at... Although more like Tidal Wave would be cool too.

But while we're on the subject, Time Force had the best Zord designs of any PR season and I refuse to listen to anyone who tries to convince me otherwise.

Anyhow, I think the closest thing out there would be Lucky Punch from the Korean "Hello Carbot" toyline (sorry the link is a video, I couldn't find a normal page), although the combined bot mode for that one is... weird, to say the least.

I forgot about that. (We need to start keeping track of these "semi-official" modes somewhere. Anyone want to start that thread?) It's... kinda similar to what I wanted, I guess, in a halfassed way? I mean, it's not quite at "thanks, I hate it" level, but it's certainly pointed in that general direction.

Not quite the same, I was talking about official "fan" modes, like Sixshot's "Wingwolf" mode.

If the mode is OFFICIAL, then it can not be "fan". Even if that mode is obvious bullcrap.

Hence why "Fan" was in quotation marks. They're official modes in the official fiction, but they're not official modes for the toy itself. What do you want me to call them?

Fall of Cybertron Prowl...

At this point would it be easier for me to make a sub thread to this one, specifically on the lost WFC/FoC figures :(

A Super-articulated, Voyager-Sized G1 Megatron that turns into a Walther P-38 with Die-cast metal parts :-D

I would love to see a line of TFs where they took the actual G1 figures, kept the Die-cast parts, kept them in the real-world car modes (ala Countach, Datsuns, Lancia Stratos, Porsche 935, Ligier JS-11 etc.) and made them all Super-articulated, with waists that turn and ankle tilts. MP is pretty much this I know, but I want to see the original toy aesthetic, in deluxe and voyager sizes etc. Again, I know that they're pretty much this already with the WFC/ Earthrise line, but for me the key here is having mini replicas of the real-life cars and the look of the original toys.

I getcha. A transformers that look EXACTLY like the G1 original toy in both modes, but with majorly improved articulations. I'd dig that. However, the metal parts could not be the same, for sure. And the joints would have to follow a principle that would not ruin the look. Like putting ball joints where they would be apparent.

Each figures would require one HELL of a design overhaul, making them completely different molds. And each would cost a freaking fortune.
I'd still buy some though, Optimus Prime being the obvious #1 choice.

Manga ent intro was the best :P I got a random Guyver cd on my travels and unfortunately all the music is unknown to me and a bit dull. At least cyber city oedo soundtrack doesnt disapoint :) would have been nice for the siege alts to have futuristic cars like the oedo cop car.

Sadly the Guyver story never ever seems to get finished but it's mainly stand alones that differ in story in slight ways so nothing has to be watched in any order and questions will still remain but still worth a watch:

Viz Comics (unfinished)

Ova

First anime series 12 episodes (unfinished) it even had models for Gigantic Guyvers that never appeared in it :( bought these on VHS when they first came out and thanks to the pg13 age rating not being in effect the episodes that were 15 ratings always made me worry that I wouldn't be able to buy a part.

Live actions:
mutronics,
dark hero (with a third Guyver 2)
Could have done with a third film against guyot. Expect Bmovie level, not netflix live action deathnote bad but definitely cheesy. I like both of them but then and again I enjoy starship troopers 2 & 3...insecticon arachnids would be cool. primes hardshell style.

Bioboosted series (Reboot. Although the bioboosted series handleed some things a bit better it doesn't beat the original -plus it does something that I usually hate in a series).

The original Manga isn't finished yet either and seems to come out at a snails pace. I enjoyed the 2005 adaption fit what it was, despite some character designs taking a step backwards, and I thought it was a nice change in keeping Guyver 2 around for a bit longer (even if he didn't do anything really) and it was great to see Archenfel (or however his names spelt, the head honcho of chronos) in animation.

Anyway,

With the third part of war for Cybertron hinted at being the future, you know what I think it's time for? Multiforce baby. Here's how I'd do it, two figures sold together at deluxe class (spread across three waves) I think we'd have to have components for gestalt but that'd be fine.

Trypticon and Sky-Lynx - With bot modes.

If anyone G1 is in serious need of a revamp and design overhaul, it is these two. For many years, I simply didn't like Trypticon. Being a Godzilla nerd (and dinosaurs too, to be honest), I really should have. But as a Transformer, I always felt the City Bot was incomplete and vastly inferior to his three contemporaries because of the deficit.

As for Sky Lynx, I don't know what his designer was taking but he stands out like a sore thumb among the post-Movie Formers. His Shuttle Mode looks pretty cool. As soon as we leave that form though, we get.. a Cat and a Bird(?), plus a combined Cat-bird? Where is the consistency to the design? What is the purpose of it?? Scrap it and start over...
