This looks great, can't wait to pick him up. Plus he can get his Targetmaster from my smaller Cyclonus ;)

Not naturally, though. Tailgate's just shoved in there.

Sort of ... I never thought to try the Legends Class figures in the chest on Silverbolt. There isn't a peg for them to attach to, but the chest panels on Silverbolt/Cyclonus hold the figures in pretty darn well. It stayed in position when I posed "Galvatronus" without any problems at all. In my twisted reality for "G1" Cyclonus, who I'm considering a separate incarnation from the honorable and watchful "Lost Light" Cyclonus, he enslave Tailgate as armor through his mind control abilities. Sorry Tailgate ... you have no friend with G1 Cyclonus.

There is an episode of G1 where Cyclonus' face is drawn in a very similar style to the Combiner Wars Cyclonus. I thought it was a brief scene in Starscream's Ghost, but I can't seem to find it. Can anyone else think of where his face was drawn like this? It certainly takes reference to some scene with Cyclonus where his face was drawn differently than normal. No, I'm not thinking of the "lips" version of Cyclonus either.

New Galleries: Combiner Wars Legion Class Ultra Magnus, Skywarp, and Cliffjumper

Another Seibertron.com gallery for the weekend, featuring some ambiguously placed Generations Legion figures of Ultra Magnus, Skywarp and Cliffjumper. Why ambiguous? Not only do these go almost hand in hand with the galleries we posted yesterday of Motorbreath and Thundercracker, they also sport the Generations Combiner Wars packaging and logo, though without the Combiner Wars banner.

At the same time, they are simple repaints, much like two figures in yesterday's galleries, of the Optimus Prime, Starscream and Bumblebee that were re-released with Age of Extinction. Just to make it clearer for everyone. In any case, click on any of the images below to view their full galleries (as Ultra Magnus' latest Leader update is just around the corner...)!

Who do they think they're fooling with that white-coloured Magnus artwork on that Legion class 'Magnus' figure?

Also never liked that Bumblebee mold. Cliffjumper's original 1984 toy still looks better in a few ways (the head and face design in particularly, and I dislike the arms on that newer one)

Skywarp's colour scheme always looks cool.

Va'al, great find! Would you tell us where you found these? Aren't they supposed to be sold at discount chains like Dollar General?

"Magnus" is the nickname for the smaller cab robot which was hardly ever seen in-fiction. The official name for the figure is still "Ultra Magnus" however, no matter the form.

Get over what? I was pointing out the misleading artwork that shows Ultra Magnus's proper robot form but in the cab's colours when that form should be red and blue and also not on this packaging at all since it doesn't resemble the toy inside in anything but colour. Good thing it's packaged in robot mode so you can see what you're getting as the character portrait fails there. A recoloured image of Prime would be seem cheap (like this repaint) but more fitting to the figure people are buying here. When has his main and most common robot form ever been white?

It would have been funny if the Legends Ultra Magnus had worked out to be small enough to fit in the new Leader Class toy, so you could actually have a tiny white Optimus sit inside if you didn't particularly care for Minimus or Alpha Trion.

Unnecessary.

Please refrain from this kind of comment on the boards, thank you.

I got cliffjumper and skywarp from mandarakes website in japan and I got ultra magnus from a seller on ebay out of North carolina. They are apparently currently available at two discount chains exclusive in the south As well as from hasbro Asia (cliffjumper amd skywarp both have the Asia sticker on the back of their packaging). I'm assuming these will be available at other chains such as big lots and dollar general and possibly family dollar later this year.

So these are combiner wars even though they feature no combiner wars branding what so ever?

Technically speaking they're not. Like the other Legions and the Kids Day Protectobots they have no subline, which makes them part of the generic Transformers 2014/2015 line. But for the ease of organisation such "subline-less" toys are usually put with Generations.

Also, they share the same packaging style as the CW figures. Not to mention GENERATIONS Combiner Wars kinda encompasses all.
