I still dont see the purpose of this figure. MP Thundercracker already exists. If its supposed to be CHUG, why would you want Thundercracker to be the same size as Skyfire?

Because Hasbro thinks bigger figures are more fun? ;)

Seriously though, I've seen an IDW rendition of Starscream using that Leader mold. But, you know, the white makes him look like Jetfire too much, so buyers would skip it thinking it's the same figure, so Hasbro turned him a more distinguishable blue, yadda yadda yadda...

CHUG isn't just for adults. It's for ages 10 and up, and because of laws, the products are safe for ages younger than that. Little Johnny sees a big blue jet transformer and he wants it. Boom. Collectors see a toy of a popular comic character right now. Boom.

You and me wish for the same but I'm assuming the heavy investment in the mold that Hasbro's squeeze it for all its worth.

Btw, does the wings sweep back or static?

I agree. I love larger toys

Also, theres lots of people who have previously spoken up about liking Leader TC because his jet alt mode should be quite large.

I was at TRU today, and they had 6 Armada Megatrons, but not one single G1 Megatron. I'm very upset by this.

It's cuz all six of the G1 Megatrons must have already been bought. The case is one G1 and one Armada per case, so there's no shortage of G1 Megs making it to the store. We all just have to be quick enough to beat everyone else to them.

The jet mode is awesome, the robot mode is good.....except for that head. It looks oddly elongated, he has a blank look on his face, and what looks like a bullet hole in his forehead. I realize I will probably be in the minority on this, but I'm curious to know if anyone else doesn't care at all for the headsculpt.

Except the CHUG toy line characters sizes was all messed up and incorrect from day one. So what's the difference if one more toy gets added to the wrong mix. ;)

:-? The CHUG toy line has almost all of the main characters in all of the toys size classes. HasTak is not trying to please fans with OCD issues. By making CHUG toys match the Thirty year old outdated G1 toys scale or G1 cartoons scales.

scale wise, the leader class jet fits pretty perfectly with deluxe cars and voyager trucks...

So Leader Thundercracker is pretty perfect in that regards, but I'm not so sure I'll end up getting him, no space, and already have the United three-packs, and I'm quite happy with the robot mode scale... Thundercracker may be the one CW figure announced so far that I'll pass on this year

Really wish I wouldn't have seen these pics because now I really want him, where as before I was okay with the idea of passing on him. And of course if I get him then I will surely have to get the other Seeker repaints...arhhhh.
Really cool looking figure though!

Meh. I've seen Jetfire in the IDW with this mold, but Thundercracker still has his F-22 (iGear Raptor) design. So Thundercracker looks weird as this toy, to me. Although I think I'm finally sold on hunting down a Jetfire.

The jet mode looks like a Sukhoi or a Mig. Anyone else think so? Pretty awesome either way.

Thanks to Starscream韋 on weibo, we now have new in-hand images of the Generations Combiner Wars Leader Class Ultra Magnus figure. Unlike Masterpiece Ultra Magnus that is base on his appearance in the G1 animation, this latest release from Hasbro is based in his appearance in IDW's ongoing comic series, More than Meets the Eye. Sadly these images does not give us a look at the Minimus Ambus figure that comes with Ultra Magnus. Check out the image we've embedded below and remember keep your optics tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest in news and updates!
