Just checked it, and it's a match for both figures. But why from the unreleased in the US Deluxe Leadfoot?

I don't think him being unreleased makes a difference since he was releases in Japan, and it's the same company rereleasing these toys.

Starscream seems identical to these to me (they really need to give him new folding hands though to make that mould better).

http://www.tfu.info/2010/Decepticon/WMS ... scream.htm
http://www.tfu.info/2011/Decepticon/Tar ... scream.htm

Hopefully this time they will make him in his TF 2007 Movie deco instead though.

I guess they don't want to re-issue Leadfoot as then they have to pay a license to Nascar for him.

The fourth one does seem close enough to his 07 deco from the first film. Kinda on topic, but also a bit off topic. I picked up an RotF Starscream from a seller on Amazon (it was shipped from China actually) and the wings are very frail and come off at the spot where they fold down on his back and his missiles will not peg into the spot under his wings when I switch him to jet mode. Is this a common problem? Anything I can do to rectify it or doctor a solution?

Back on topic, I really do want the Megatron voyager and Soundwave the most out of this set considering that all attempts to re-release the RotF Megatron have failed entirely. Soundwave because there's no US release for him in his DotM movie body. I'd love if it was his deluxe, but since it is his Human Alliance sculpt I'll take it. Soundwave always gets the shaft on big sizes I feel from the past. RotF version should've been a voyager size at least.

I am really surprised this isnt getting more buzz than it is. I mean, we are finally getting affordable options for very sought after toys here, as is the case with the Leader Optimus and Soundwave, both of which are toys (or versions of them) that have never come out in the west and thus keep going up in price. And Soundwave has that movie accurate deco to boot with all that nice silver paint.

Plus, that voyager megatron is a deco that was once cancelled and is coming back. Hence why I am surprised fans arent all over this. I thought bringing back a toy that was initially cancelled was what some fans lived for. Its no longer on the "wishful thinking" list but really happening. So yeah, I am definitely getting that Leader Prime, Soundwave and Megatron. After market prices have taught me those are the kinds of toys you cant hesitate to long about.

Just curious, which Bumblebee and Ironhide are they using for this line. I cant quite make it out.

Ironhide uses the 2010/HftD Deluxe, while Bumblebee uses the regular DotM Deluxe.

Bumblebee is the DOTM Deluxe while Ironhide is the 2010 Deluxe.

Thats too bad, for everyother toy its their best iteration, but I am not feeling it for those. I guess they really wanted to have them deluxes. But thats odd, why would Ironhide be a deluxe ?! That doesnt scale with the rest of the figures here.

He'd scale with Ratchet though, as he uses the DotM Deluxe instead of the brickish 2007 one. As it stands the line has:

4 Deluxes: Bumblebee, Ironhide, Ratchet and Strafe
6 Voyagers: Classic Optimus Prime, Megatron, Shockwave, Soundwave, Starscream and Grimlock
1 Leader: Optimus Prime

I wish I could buy all these, but that's a lot of importing in one shot.

As for EMOP, I've had time to think and I feel jipped. The Milk Magazine version is painfully close to this, and this is the 47th(ish) EMOP now and not a single one has been screen accurate YET.

Which of these would be your main priority? Mine would be leader Prime (I dont have any with a premium deco), Soundwave (dont have that toy yet) and Megatron (dont have that one either and that deco is too good to pass up).

Both OP's, Soundwave, and Starscream. But I'm sorely tempted by Megs and Shockwave....

Personally, I preferred the toy's green to the "accurate" silver. It's a very patina/undead shade of blueish green, which was rather appropriate given what happened in the film.

I'd love to see them do that other unreleased RotF Megs, the one with the even rustier paint job and the little crabs printed on.

Definite considerations to pick up:

Shockwave, Starscream, Leader Prime.

Evasion Mode Prime is great, but I already have one, don't need a slightly dirtier version.

Everything else is an easy pass.

Thanks to Logan, we were lead to find some new images of the 10th anniversary reissued figures for the movie line. These toys are all being brought to us by Takara, and are all normal releases (as opposed to exclusive releases) sporting premium decos. These images, from Amiami, are not the final product images for all toys since some are still in grey scale while others seem digitally painted (i.e. Soundwave). This is the first time we see Starscream in colour, showing us that he will sport a deco very similar to what was found on his MP Movie toy.
Other things to note:
- The Megatron deco is very similar to a version of the toy that Takara previously cancelled and it is the only version of the toy with a deco based on his look in the movie.
- The guns that come with Bumblebee and Ratchet are from Deluxe Leadfoot (which was never released in the west)
- The Leader Optimus is based on the latest retooling of the figure (from the Striker issue), which has yet to see a release in the west as well.

These are all currently available for preorders at both US and Japanese based online stores.

Yeah, I agree. I dont like that Ironhide mold they chose and I am surprised with the Ratchet too. Dont know why they went deluxe on those. Anyways, I remember you wanting that Ultimate Prime but had a double take when they revealed it to be over 300$ before importing. This Leader is that very mold (and paint job, or similar enough) so I bet its a nice relief. You dont have other versions of that leader mold do you? I will be ordering 3 of these by next week but I just wish our dollar could strenghen a bit before then. Also, I really hope that isnt the final deco for Soundwave.
