Does not look that way.

Did not catch that, but I'm still chuckling over the stock photos where Ion Storm was replaced with Thundercracker

I refuse to accept "Road Police" , "Wheel Blaze" and "Cratermaker" as canonical Transformers names.

And "Airon" Seriously Hasbro? How hard would it have been to be trademark Tote? Especially when he's clearly decoed to be him

1. "Road Police" was a Japanese-original name and character. The Japanese were no strangers to names that sounded weird in English.

2. "Wheel Blaze" has been the guy's name since 1990.

3. "Cratermaker" is just a Trademarkable replacement for the name of Powerbomb (another Japanese original)

4. It's "Ricon". The news story misspelled it. "Ricon" comes from "RI Construction", which was printed on Ironworks's original toy, but which is here being used as a new name for Tote (who is now partnered with Ironworks, renamed "Irontread" here, to cement the connection).

I like the new IDW Headsculpt but when the bloody hell was Impactor a Decepticon?

Powerdasher. Just why?

Mirage wins here by a long shot. I love a Botcon homage.

Since when? In the new storyline apparently.
As for why on Aragon? It's something to redeco a Weaponizer into while bringing a Powerdasher back in a way that has added appeal because the Powerdashers were nobodies.

They addressed this in the back in the pole. In this iteration, before the war, Impactor was a Merc before he became a Wrecker. It’s Mirage who ends up recruiting him for a mission that ultimately cemented him on the side of the Autobots, but with some of the less than Primelike morals he has

Ratbat would have been a smarter choice than Frenzy

A studio series deluxe would have been a better choice than frenzy... 1 less cassette/deluxe for same price is off-putting.

It seems a bit weird that they used the planes twice since the decepticons already have that mold. You'd think they'd have dug a bit deeper to find characters that could fit another of the autobot molds as deceptions.

I've been wanting updated Powerdashers for a long time so I'm really happy with Aragon.

As for single Frenzy, I'll take it. While the legs are on backwards the torso sticker is missing, that head is pretty intriguing to me. Does it reference anything or is it just something entirely random?

Almost looks like he's disguised as Shockwave or something. I do wish he had the gold weapons.

Bravo, Hasbro, Bravo. You've conned me into spending more money than I should. Again.

I'm really getting tired of Hasbro releasing perfectly mediocre figures, and then re-releasing the same toy with extra accessories or whatever that makes the toy the toy we should've gotten originally.

I'm not talking about releasing a new version of a character (Thrilling 30 Springer vs. Siege Springer), I'm talking about adding something to an existing figure (retail Fort Max vs. SDCC Fort Max). Obviously Hasbro knows what we want, which makes it feel like they are purposely tricking us into buying the same toy twice.

Examples off the top of my head:

Titan Metroplex came with 1 gun, SDCC Metroplex had two guns and chrome
Titan Fort Max had zero hand held weapons, SDCC Fort Max had his sword
Combiner Wars Superion and Menasor both had replacement limbs, the G2 Box Sets had all original members (not a great example, because of the May Madness figures)
Siege Impactor has a made up head, Siege 3 pack Impactor has the IDW head
Siege Reflector doesn't look like a camera at all, 3 pack has the perfect accessories for camera mode (I realize of course the only way to add the camera parts is in a 3 pack, but still)
Even having to buy Throne of the Primes to get the last Prime Masters was a kick in the pants.

Maybe I'm just having a cranky morning, but the Impactor head really bugs me, and brought up all these old feelings.

Impactor is the one that does bug me too. But not the others since they all work out in one way or another. I dont think one bad apple should poison the whole barrel.

I hear Ricon can only drive in a straight line.

I don't like the Decepticon symbol on Impactor but I can always stick a sticker over that.

It's the clear Mirage that I have no use for and hate that I have to buy him to get the other two.

Hey Sabr, so Off Road Patrol is complete now, does this 10 pack complete the other groups too?

Also, where was Re Constructicon written?

On G1 Ironworks's trailer hitch.

Is it just me, or does the prototype Unicron head look better than the final one? At least, it looks more like what I think of when I think of the movie.

I think it is both hilarious and sad that Aragon is unceremoniously just *crammed* randomly into that packaging, and is just *parts* for Impactor and Mirage to duke it out. :( .

Secondly, I want that set JUST for Aragon. I'll sell off the other two as I have no interest in them (unless conversely someone who purchases this set, wants to part with Aragon, I'll take him).

Although his head is now wrong, and colors aren't quite right, I figure this is a close as I'll ever get to wish fulfillment. I'll restore his name to Cog as I have much more GRAND plans for him, I want him to live up to his MAX potential. ;)

Except I have a very hard time seeing Marvel UK in the retail headsculpt. It looks more like a toddler wearing his Dad's old army helmet than a vicious black ops leader

If your hint is anything to go by...

I love it!

But I'll wait on a Selects or 35th Anniversary release of Grand Max's Cog.

I wouldn't mind seeing your custom though ;)
