Omega Supreme Head-turret alignment

So I finally picked up Siege Omega Supreme. I noticed that his tank mode's front of head and back of turret don't really snap together. Is it supposed to just "sit in place"? The rest of the "structure/platform" appears to audibly snap together. Thanks!

You could have just posted this question in the Siege thread instead of creating a new one. Or you could have used your old "General Titan" thread.
Let's do that.

Topics fused!

To answer your question, those two parts are not meant to "snap" together. Effectively, they just sit there.
Anyway, what do you think of Siege Omega Supreme?

Did my reply not submit?

Anyway, Really like Omega! My 2-year-old really likes "big guy" too!

Any other titans recommended? I like the look of the ark; any idea what the next titan will be?

Any recommendations on Micromasters?

Your initial reply worked. No need to manually approve any of your posts now. But if you have a question about a toy or some topic AND want an answer, do NOT create a new thread from the start. First, seek out a thread that already exist (in the first page of the forum) that already cover the subject you want to talk about. Most users who have already posted in that old thread are subscribed to it so when a new post appear, they get an email notification. Then, many, MANY more eyes will see your post and you will get an answer pretty quickly instead of being ignored.

If you still want to pay the regular price, I would recommend the Ark. He's pretty simple and impressive. Plus he's the most recent one so still easy to find. No news yet on future titans.

As for Micromasters, I think they are the PERFECT partners to titans. I pretend they are regular Transformers in scale. You may be a bit late to the Micromasters party though. I'd recommend ALL of them. Just hunt at your local stores. Many still have some in stock and will most likely be on clearance. Be careful though, because they have tiny parts and may be unsafe for children under 4.

Also, get the Transformers Generations War for Cybertron Galactic Odyssey Collection Botropolis Rescue Mission set. It's an Amazon exclusive and it go so well with Omega:
Canada: https://www.amazon.ca/-/fr/Transformers ... 82&sr=1-25
USA: Can't find it but any Americans can buy from Amazon.ca

There's also another box set that is pretty nice:
Canada: https://www.amazon.ca/-/fr/Transformers ... 82&sr=1-32
USA: https://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Tra ... 523&sr=8-5

The final piece to complete Omega is Earthrise Commander Skylinx. He's epic and fit the theme. Still easy to find everywhere.

This is my current display of the Skylinx + Botropolis + the shuttle Micromasters set:

Omega plus his partners (More Micromasters and Weaponisers) are on the shelf above. ;)

Thanks for all the info! I think I might have to curtail my spending though . . . my wife okayed a couple additional [expensive] acquisitions to accompany Omega Supreme [between the time of my post and your response]:

Unite Warriors UW-04 Devastator
[ebay]

Transformers Legends LG43 Dinosaur (Trypticon)
https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/ ... ails/50301

Gotta have Devastator to accompany Omega! My son loves dinosaurs ("dinos") and "big guys" as he likes to call all Transformers now that I referred to Omega as such, so I think he'll love finding Trypticon under the Christmas tree.

I did pick up these micromasters though:

https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/ ... ails/85573

https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/ ... ails/97260
[kiddo was playing a little rough with my Walmart Exclusive Soundwave's laserbeak and ravage, so I figured he should have ones of his own]

Hune HOOF on that Trypticon price. I mean, OMFG. That's rather outrageous. All because that's a "Takara" import.

I do hope you havent bought any of these yet (appart the micromasters) because even if you have to pay for shipping, you'll find better prices at Mandarake. This here Canadian is still stuck with their expensive DHL shipping, but you Americans are allowed to use EMS.

Mandarake is multiple independent stores under a single banner. So if you want to "combine shipping", buy things under the same store. SAHRA is the only store that can give you a shipping estimate from the start.

Look for Transformers in general here (I filtered out the sold-out):

https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/lis ... rs&lang=en

Check them out. They may have something you're looking for at an amazing price!

They don't have Trypticon in stock and it's unfortunate. Because you're paying around triple the price of what is sold for. Plus the hips are somewhat fragile so a child may most likely break him. If you want a villain to pit against Omega, Scorponok is the better choice. Plus he's way cheaper:
https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/ ... ils/117459

The Takara Devastator is a great choice. I hope you got a deal!

What does "Hune HOOF" mean?

I thought the Takara Trypticon fixed the hips issue? Yea... at 2 he mostly just "messes with them". He's certainly enjoyed watching me Transform Omega Supreme and seems to enjoy both modes.

I think you can recognise a typo when you see one. It was supposed to be "huge OOF" as in a punch to the gut that cut off your breath.

Anyway, if you're willing to pay that price, go for it. But having once owned and sold TR Trypticon, I do not recommend him at all. He just felt cheap and bland in hand. At least I only paid 160$CAN at the time and I got 100$CAN in store credit a few months ago when I got rid of it at my local geek store.

As for the hips issue, it's just the first runs of the figure that had that problem. Both for Takara and Hasbro. It was fixed for both soon enough. Both :HASBRO: and :TAKARATOMY: versions are exactly the same toy. Only the packaging differ. So at 300$US, you're paying extra for nothing. The irony is that it may still be cheaper than ebay.

I say hold on preordering that overpriced Trypticon and keep an eye open for a cheaper used one.

With regard to the typo it's all good. Where I work we literally have an acronym search engine (https://armypubs.army.mil/abca/SearchABCA.aspx). It's not even remotely all-encompassing... Anyway, I honestly thought it was an acronym like CHUG.

Thanks again for all the advice! I hope I don't regret Unite Warriors Devastator!

I'll look for a cheaper Trypticon... Can he eat Micromasters? Was never a fan of scorponok, but I hear good things about the figure.

To be fair, that wasn't really a typo either. That was a poweiyfpoichuiouhcdpw8y9oh9iuhefcdo;ih of confusion that went to te tip of my fingers. :HEADHURTS:

He cannot properly "eat" Micromasters. However, he can "eat" titan masters, meaning his ennemies HEADS.

So while hunting for Trippy, try to get a few Titan Returns titan masters.

Are there any titan masters that are not head
heads of other robots?

Nope. Titan Masters are ALL head. Prime Masters are the same thing, but instead of a face, they have a "power core" instead. So those count too.

If you are old enough to have lived through G1 and know about Pretenders, all the Prime Masters of Power of the Prime are Pretender hommages. Neat little figures that can also act like guns.

Small individual Titan Masters from Titan Return come with a small transformable armor for the Titan Master to ride.

Man that just goes to show, once Titans sell out (initially), their prices skyrocket. Glad I have them all :-D . Anyway...wow...Even for an import LG43 Dinosaurer, some places had them for as low as $120 USD at one point. (Not to mention all the Infamous Ollies $40 Hasbro Trypticons, because of the whole TRU going out of business fiasco).

While I do agree that $300 is quite a bit to pay, I don't think it's necessarily the worst toy ever. For some odd reason, i got one fairly early on, but it didn't have the hip issue, maybe it was one of the very first fixes? I don't know...

Anyway... I'm probably more lenient because I enjoy these characters. Even with all the flaws. I'd say Siege Omega Supreme is by far my favorite, with Scorponok being a close second. Trypticon is probably a distant 3rd followed by Fort Max and Metroplex. I'd say the most recent (Ark), is my least favorite, even more so than T30 Metroplex. Habro/TT get points for trying, and I actually think Mainframe is an excellent, and quite versatile deluxe figure. I probably like Mainframe more than The Ark itself. 8-} . But the Ark just seems like either they could have done more with it, or charged less. I paid full price at Target (with a 5% discount). But for what you actually get, I would say it's worth more in the $100-$120 USD range, certainly not $170.

You know, I'm fine paying extra for Takara. Something about them... I feel like there's just this quality boost or extra pride taken in the toys manufacture... Tighter tolerances?

Is scorponok really that good? I can't say that I care for him... If I had to choose one, black zarak or scorponok, which should I choose?

I really like the look of the ark, but he lacks playability...

I showed my son photos of the Titans and he definitely liked Trypticon, just like I anticipated...

There is NO difference between Takara or Hasbro for Trypticon appart the box. But if you like Trypticon better, getting another Titan instead would make no sense even if the other one is half price.

Are you 100% certain of the lack of difference? Everything I've read says that the hip issue is hit and miss on the Hasbro version. Never occurred on the Takara version. Point me in the direction of a cheaper Trypticon and I'll toss you a "thank you". :-)

Insofar as other titans it's always good to keep my options open. ;-) O:-)

No differences confirmed. At the time, many got screwed over by paying that 300$ plus shipping for the exact same Trypticon they could have had for dirt cheap locally. It was still in the culture that the Takara version was always "better". That Trypticon was the first step toward unifying the brands.

As for a cheaper Trypticon, you could always import the one I sold at Geek Stuff. May come ironically cheaper even with shipping. You'll have to contact the seller via Facebook:

The store is closed Sunday and Monday.

Any recommendations on a large flat display case that could hold two Titans and six regular size figures on one shelf? I'm thinking of a tabletop display.

Ni idea. You are free to do whatever you want however you want.
The best is to build your own with stuff from the hardware store. And if you have the skills of a electric train hobbyist, go nut!

Cleaning what? Because the kind of grime require different methods and products.

Also, preserving packagings of normal mainline figures? There's not much point. Keep the titan box for sure, but the rest can be used as fun scrapbooking projects.

A soft cloth, and water with a few drops of dish soap (liquid kind, the one for washing dishes by hand) will do the trick nicely.

Overtime, your collection will face it's worst enemy: DUST. Use paintbrushes of various sizes and softness to dust off the intricate details.

Finally, keep the toys away from direct sunlight as much as possible to prevent yellowing. Especially the whites one.
