Well, Volkswagen is a German company and, after WWII, it is understandable that they would be uneasy about being involved in a children's toy brand that promotes warfare and (laser) gun violence, even if the one character they allow to use their license is one of the "good guys".

I get that.
But trying to hide the history doesn't change the history.

It could easily be argued that this stance ensures history isn't forgotten as opposed to not acknowledging anything and doing as if it's all business as usual.

Like right now, people are asking why it's so different with Volkswagen, well due to history. So now it keeps getting acknowledged and remembered.

Walgreens:
Tra Gen legacy Dlx Minerva x8

Probably another repaint of Arcee. It would be nice if they actually did the Headmaster juniors as their own thing and look a little more like them instead of just redoing the body's of previous headmasters.

Rumors/leaks say she'll be using the new Legacy Elita-1's mold, but also that Minerva is actually said mold's intended use and it's being released as Elita first since she's more marketable (I guess) in a similar vein to how we saw Titans Return Optimus and Megatron before we saw Octane and Blitzwing.

That sounds a little more promising. Will she be a headmaster or will she just be a "normal" transformer?
I'd like to see the version from Super God Masterforce, but they might be going more for the brief appearance in animated.

The figure that most interests me here is Black Convoy. I only need a Black Convoy and Ruination to complete my RiD2001 bad guys shelf, and I don't intend to get the retail Laser Prime, so it would be great to get that mold and cross a guy off the list to complete a cast

Alpha Trion and Orion Pax Rumoured as Exclusive 2 Pack in 2022

Take this one with a grain of salt please. But it has been stated by someone in the know that we could be getting an Alpha Trion and Orion Pax two pack next year. It was said to be the SDCC exclusive. While that's all that was said, it can be easy to guess what molds could be used if this did come to pass. With a nice new Kup mold in the SS86 line, an Orion Pax redeco should be right around the corner. As for Alpha Trion, some have guessed the Scourge mold which would fit. We really don't know more than this, but we wanted to share this rumour with you. To give you an idea of what the colour placement would be on the SS 86 Kup figure, here is a digi bash from Cryptic on Twitter.

When are you guys gonna stop posting these garbage digibashes. Every time you do people freak out thinking it’s what it is (because apparently reading is hard)even though it states in the article it’s not and you remove it from the article due to confusion. Literally every time.

I'd be down for a new Alpha Trion, and I've never owned a version of the Scourge mould but have heard great things about it. Orion I can take or leave, he would probably end up on the "Didn't really want it but it was in a twin-pack with someone I did want" pile with Lifeline and Maximal Skywarp.

Remolding/repainting SS86 Scourge and Kup would be pretty smart. Only thing that would need fixing for Pax is to skip the removable arms gimmick. Those would be pointless and make no sense.

Now if that's an "exclusive" that will be as easy to get as the Siege Refraktor trio boxset, that would be great.

Not their fault if all people do is read the headline and look at the pretty pictures, but skip the article itself. >:oP

Alpha Trion out of Scourge has precedence, really:

Head may need retooling (if there isn't an alternate head already). Orion out of Kup has been done quite a few times:

- G1 Kup into e-Hobby Orion Pax
- TR Kup into Movie Tribute Orion Pax
- T30 Orion Pax into unreleased Kup (alternate head confirmed to be Kup)

I can make it make sense easily. He got destroyed and rebuilt into Optimus Prime in at least one iteration of the story.

Plus, there is no way to easily adjust a mold to turn a 2 part bicep or thigh into a single part. It would basically require new arm and leg molds.

Of course there is a really easy way to make each limb a single piece on your own. That would be called super glue.

I have the Generations mold (which the digibash took the head out of) and it's much better than SS86 Kup -- look, articulation & plastic quality. So Orion Pax is a big miss for me, that mold is just not worth double dipping on.

I have the triple changing Alpha Trion and while it's a fun toy, it's nowhere near accurate in the looks department, so I look forward to seeing actual reveal of this anouncement. If it's much better, I'll bite the 2-pack price.

I can't speak re: articulation, but you're flat-out wrong about the look.

This is G1 Orion Pax. SS86 Kup comes decidedly closer to that look than the old deluxe (which was an Aligned toy labeled as the G1 incarnation), as far as existing toys go.

The digibash should have used the PotP head, tho.

Now on this front, you're just plain delusional.

I hope we get some official data on this line soon.

I get that the original Kup toy being repainted was the way they found to give us a Orion Pax toy,but Orion Pax got two molds for himself after that(Thrilling 30 and Power of the Primes),so why keep repainting Kup in him?

Day 703 of waiting for Transformers Armada Masterpiece news.

Thrilling 30 doesn't count IMO, ESPECIALLY if you're going for the G1 cartoon. And PotP... while that would be ideal since it's the actual cartoon Orion Pax robot mode, I don't know that they'd be able to sell the Orion Pax part standalone. And I somehow doubt they'd do either a full Leader or a brand-new standalone Orion mold as part of a 2-pack like this.

Side note, both Aligned (IIRC) and 2019 IDW "Orion Pax" feel more like Optronix mislabeled.

I don't disagree that SS86 Kup got a closer body type & styling to the toon look than the Generations Orion Pax, like, by miles. But the Generations toy is an original take on Orion Pax, not a repaint/redeco, and I love it for the originality. The transformation's fun and quite unique too. I thought that Generations Orion Pax's alt mode is conceptually closer to Optimus Prime's (Cybertron OR Earth) truck than Kup's alt mode as well. So I was like "Yes! Finally Hasbro got (retcon?) Orion Pax right!" when it came out.

So if you let me have only one Orion Pax figure out to the existing ones + this rumored SS86 Kup redeco, I'd STILL pick the 1st Generations version.

I would add the plastic quality, too. To the point that I laughed out loud at just that. Having gone back to Prime Wars figures in several cases, none of them have the level of 'plastic quality' as anything in WFC save for perhaps Fangry, who's a floppy a mess as anything I have from any of those previous lines.

I guess we all have our preferences, but I don't even see how the plastic quality is arguable.

The plastic type they used for Gen (T30) Orion Pax was pretty bad. very light with breakage points at the some hinges. I liked the look (especially in car mode) but that toy will not be missed by me.
