Then the robot mode legs loaded into the picture.
Oh. My. God. Somebody shoot that thing and put it out of my misery.

The robot legs look like...oh my goodness...robot legs! Oh, the horror! How terrible! :P  I'm kidding, not trying to rag on anyone, but I do think its funny that AT-AT is being called ugly because its TOO robot-like. Is it the best looking TF ever? No, but it also isn't the ugliest, and it definately doesn't need to be put out of its misery.

The Snow Speeder and clone era tank do look better than the majority of SWTFs, but still, yet another round of lacluster tfs from the Star Wars side of Hasbro.

This is not two rights!

To be two rights it'd have to have TF charecters in it, and be designed by the TF department (you know, the department that has been disingning transforming toys for over 20 years) instead of the Star Wars department, who have been designing the same 5 ships and action figures in different sizes for the last 30 years.

(I know that'd kinda make 3 rights, but sue me.)

These took long enough to come out. Ive been waiting for ever. I just want that turbo tank. He looks.......right. He actually fits in with TF. Not too humanish looking. I wish they were actual tf characters not robot looking versions of their pilots. A megatron that turns into a storm trooper rifle......!

Bumblebee as a snow speeder!

BB as a yellow snowspeeder?
That's not very camouflagey though.
I think the AT-AT Walker's robot mode looks disappointing.

I have to agree....Commander Cody is the best looking one, and if he has good articulation (pic doesnt give me hopw) I might get him. I have the Darth Vader Jedistarfighter. He is ok. I bought my nephew the Darth Vader Tie Fighter and I'd have to say it's a GREAT figure. Good articulation and both modes are good.

Now look below for what I am keeping an eye out for. If I cant have Unicron to fight Primus, I guess I will have to settle for this!!!

Enjoy!!

As I've mentioned before, I think the engineers who design these SWTF are doing the best they can with what they have. Hasbro obviously wants to capitalize on the crossover of fans. The difficulty lies in the fact that, unlike actual Transformers, the Star Wars vehicle modes are present and can't be altered without incurring the wrath of Star Wars fans. Just as we won't necessarily buy a figure that doesn't look like Optimus Prime but has his name, Star Wars fans won't buy vehicles that don't look like SW vehicles. So the engineers have to work within two significant limitations: size and vehicle design restrictions. If they were Voyager sized rather than deluxe sized, they could get some more poseability or gimmicks, but obviously they want to hold that 14.99 price point. So for what they are, I like these three figures and commend the engineers for managing to do as well as they have (relatively).

It's not that it's too robot like, it's that it's too un-TF like. And coming from a universe where legs can come in a huge variety of shapes and sizes... well, it's quite a feat to look that out of place.
