And yet we were all told be Paramount, Hasbro and Bay that G1 designs do not hold up well in 3d.

That's an extreme understatement.

It feels like I waited forever, an "eternity" if you will, just to see a small portion on G1 redone in 3D. That was always something a buddy of mine and I would talk about a few years back. "How cool would it be to see an episode of G1 redone like Beast Wars and dubbed over with the old G1 sound tracks?"

I think I asked for this a long time back. JUst take the G1 cartoon series audio and replace the video with good modern CG animation. Looks wonderful! Now Hasbro, do the entire pilot of the 1984 series in this style!

Sick! I'd love to see THE Transformers movie re-done like that. A CGI Transformers tv show would be awesome if it looked like that. Boo Animated! Hooray CGI!....and beer!

Though I doubt it would work on the Big Screen. And even if it did, people would still complain about it.

No wonder Hollywood is out of ideas... people can not accept change.

That video was FANTASTIC! Man, if the movie last year had been even remotely similar to that, I could not have been any happier. Beautiful, altogether beautiful.

Hmmm ... just read everybody else's comments now and I'd really like to point out something:

There are more than 40 comments regarding this clip and EVERY SINGLE ONE IS POSITIVE.

We have heard a million times about how us TF fans can't agree on anything. We do nothing but fight.

But, look at this. We ALL agreed. It has happened. This, for me, is one of my favorite moments as a TF fan. I REALLY think the movie executives should take note. If they had done something like this, we ALL would have been out there in droves. We ALL would have promoted the movie to everyone we know like you wouldn't have believed. We ALL would have gone to see it at least a dozen times each.

It really would have been amazing beyond my wildest imagination if they had done it. It's really to sad to imagination what COULD have been.

I want a video game like that. Those are some slick graphics too.

Man....as watchable as the movie was....if they could have cleaned up the CG a bit more...ILM quality...maybe added a bit more complicated transformations but still had these as the end result....a live action movie would have been so much cooler. That was just so frikin awsome!!

Anybody who says realistic "blocky" robots don't work in real life after this is honestly just fooling themselves....& trying to convince others to fool themselves.

And I agree with everyone else here who says this is how the TF movie should have looked. I demand a G1 CGI series!!!

Nothing compares to that G1 vid, that's was really too amazing and too short! Yes, I do love it better than the Bay movie, too bad thoug, it will never be like that short clip.
