Will Fansproject stop topping themselves so fast? We haven't even heard about the Protector armor in ages, and here we have not only another combiner limb upgrade, but 2 more figures to go with it! Get your priorities in order FP so I'll how much to save up for what and when!

Crossfire 2 with the add-ons, and that sweet sniper rifle.
C2 Set A- with "Blast-off"
C2 Set B- with "Swindle"

This one won't be cheap, but damn it looks like it will be worth it.

Hasbro said the magic barrier for third party figures/add-ons is $100 dollars. By breaking this set up (if that's what's happening here), FP is steering clear of the eye of Hasbro/Takara. They're certainly already on the radar, but at least they're still trying to play by the established rules.

And yes, this set appears to be worth every penny they're going to charge. It kicks complete and total ass.

This is the opus of FansProject.

Now if they'd give us word of when/if the Protector armor is going to see the light of day, I'll go ahead and just hand them my checkbook.

A toy-accurate(ish), ultra-posable Swindle? Could this be the first third-party figure I buy?

It's beautiful and it's only in the prototype stage. Man, when the pre-order goes up, I'm so gonna get in on this action. It just looks awesome. Period.

This set if full of MEH!!....ok...complete joke with that comment.

Fans Project, you had me at Cliffjumper. Seriously.

You have made me, and by the looks of it, most of the fandom very very happy. When you first did the CJ head kit, I thought, "hey, that's pretty cool. gonna try and get that. neat." Then you did Ultra Magnus. "OMG, is that an actual trailer that works completely with Nekid Ultra Magnus?" Added some repaints for for us Black TF collectors with Nemesis Commander, showed the fans some Diaclone homage with Powered Commander. Win for us and lets you bank roll some of that for future projects. Yes people, can you see where all those repainted funds are going to? Then we get leaked pics of Protector. Lot of us are still, "believe it when we see it." Then we get hints of Defendor. "Are they making a complete figure? Hmmm, very interesting if done right." Then what most of us wanted, we got actual limbs for Superions. "Yeeeaaaaah for non energon hands and he has FEET people. LOOK, FEET!!" There's no way they can top that awesome add-on kit. NO WAY! And now look what you have done. You made us believe that someone still caters to us, the fans. I hate to say the hardcore fans, but really, that is what it seems to be. This isn't for the new kiddies that won't understand the awesomeness of G1 Bruticus. This is for those of us that pined for, an accurate representation of a gestalt with 5 completely different alt modes/bot modes, complete with, again, hands and feet.

I bow to you fans project. I want to thank you fans project. For me, it's not even about the cost, because for most of your products, everything has been IMO, affordable and more importantly to me, worth every penny I spent on your products. Thanks for bringing my collection one step closer to perfection.

Must have this!!!

Unfortunately if I tell the wife I'm adding this to the April/May bill I might not wake up the next morning. FP is seriously bringing something awesome to the table and I can't help but jump.

I love my CC upgrade and the Superion upgrade made me excited as I locked those damned Energon hands and feet up like a career criminal. I told her this would happen but with Defender coming out at the same time I might be SOL.

And really what happened to protector? I want that as much as I want the Bruticus kit seriously for some reason I am obsessed with trailers on tformers.

hmmm. Looks great

just yesterday I bought barricade, brawl and a vortex. I had intended to kitbash barricade and use brawl and vortex for their combiner pegs. Apparently now I may need to keep those two and get a replacement barricade.

But then again, if full bruticus sets are only 60$, maybe i'll just go that route and use the new leftover parts for kitbash fodder.

Now this makes me wanna get those combiner sets. Or perhaps I pick up the Aerialbot upgrade and this one and use them on my Club Exclusive combiner set. I'm pretty sure if they did upgrades for the Aerialbots and Combaticons they'll do one for the Constructicons.

Rated X wrote:Bruticus is my all time favorite.

This is the only character that I wouldnt complain about any price.

But if they are going to go this far, why not just re-do all 5 robots ? The robot modes of Onslaught, Brawl and Vortex do not match the G1 theme as the Swindle and Blast Off companions do. I would welcome a complete set from these guys.

See, I hate to cause a flame war, but where do you get off saying the rest of the set doesnt match a G1 Theme? Vortex is still a chopper, Brawl a Tank, and Onslaught some sort of ballistics truck thing (which it looks like they've updated as well judging by the turrets). What they're doing here isn't necessarily just making it more G1, but updating it in such a way that it will inspire nostalgia and help it fit better into the Classics line, while still maintaining the original Energon design aesthetics.

I think this is one of the most awesome things I've ever come across on this site, I don't deny that, and I WISH I could afford it. But the "Geewun" rallying cry continues to flabbergast me. It's getting old. I'm sure your comment was harmless and thus I am in no way making a personal attack, but its also the kind of statement that makes me roll me eyes and ask myself

"Can the fans NEVER be entirely appeased?"

This is being released. It's going to be awesome. Enjoy it for what it is, FansProject doesn't even HAVE to be doing this, they owe nobody a damn thing.

Holy crap! Please let my tax returns be through the roof. This is beautiful! I hope that with the A and B sets there is also a set with both new figures. This is pure win. I cant even pick which FP set i am more excited about. Defender? Protector? and now this...

oh man.. PURE WIN!

Now I'm seeing people putting down Hasbro after seeing this upgrade and I think thats just wrong. The new ROTF Bludgeon, Recon Ironhide and Brawn are fantastic figures for the price that there released for! (Lets not forget the Classics series either) Remember Hasbro is in it for the kids and make it afforable for the parents. I love the work Fansproject does and thinks that it makes the TF Collectors Club look like garbage in comparison. If Hasbro picked up Fansprojects work and offered it as a Mastercollector Series that would be great, but I'm not sure if they would be able to offer them at the same price that Fansproject does. You should actually thank Hasbro for allowing Fansproject to continue with there great work! Now to the new figure upgrade... Wow... what a project! Great job as always FP! Will continue to keep an eye open to whatever comes next.

Hmmmm, should I actually use Energon Barricade for this Bruticus since he is more g1 accurate? I actually love the ROTF colors better, but I can't help but want him to be closer to his original color scheme. Oh the dilema's you cause Fans Proj.

Energon Barricade
ROTF Vortex
ROTF Brawl
Fans Proj Blastoff
Fans Proj Swindle

Guess I'll just have to see which is more pleasing when this set comes out. Try em on like clothes. :)

I like what I see with this set. I'm wondering if they will be doing add on kits for whirl and brawl to get then more gen 1 accurate and if the onslaught upgrade will have a replacement head with it. the barricade/onslaught head looks hideous, like a robot princess Leia.

Good point! Make your suggestions now people! The project has yet to be completed. Heck at this rate I'm going to suggest this Fansproject. Make me a replacement head for Hardhead that transforms into Duros!
