I Realize I'm A Bit Longwinded About This, But, It Is My Belief That If They Really Want To Commemorate "The Generation Lost" Of Transformers Using A G2 Theme, They Should Look Into The Truly "Lost" Members Of The Transformers Canon.
TOTALLY AGREE.
There were 3 main reasons why I lost interest in TFs in the late '80s/early '90s:
1. The quality of the figures kept getting worse;
2. Actionmasters - "Transformers" that don't transform? WTF?; &
3. The initial waves of G2 were GARISH repaints of G1 figures (where's the "second" generation in that?).
I didn't even know there were new molds until it was too late.
The new molds you mention didn't get much treatment in the comics. THEY truly are a "lost generation."
