The prices are inflated because the price of oil has increased so dramatically over the past few years, not because they are collector's items.

Looks like there will be leader class figures for the Prime toyline. Awesome! Now if we could only get a figure of Megatron instead of Bumblebee... At least there'll probably be more than one wave, so I still hold out hope on a leader Megatron...

And I really do hope we wind up getting a Grimlock figure based on Fall of Cybertron. His design is just looks so fantastic it would be a shame to not have it in toy form.

Autobot032 wrote:We ARE getting Leader Class, it seems. Prime? I get. Bumblebee? Again? Didn't the failtastic DOTM version teach them anything? They're going to be terribly out of scale with the smaller Voyagers and Deluxes. And simplified? How simple we talkin'? Granted, I agree it shouldn't be ROTF Optimus/DOTM Sentinel complex, but I sure hope it's not Cybertron Metroplex/DOTM Ironhide simplistic, either. I do like that they kept the Stealth Force mode in. That's a nice carryover from DOTM.

I'd expect something along the lines of Supreme Animated Optimus Prime (only not as big).

And so I bet being out-of-scale will be the least of collectors' objections. ;)

Andy from Full Metal Hero wrote:3) Optimus Maximus - bases make a return to the line with Maximus, a large scale Cyberverse Playset which doubles a fully transforming figure and base for your Cyberverse figures. Featuring light and sound features, firing rockets and launching vehicle this guy was fairly imposing standing somewhere in between Ultimate Op and a regular Leader Class figure. It looked quite bare without any Cyberverse figures locked in but you could see the gun turrets just waiting to be armed by you min faves.

So, basically...we're getting a Fortress Maximus, of sorts? Awe. Some.

This does sound like it might be pretty sweet. Presumably, this being marketed as a Transformers: Prime tie-in?

Andy from Full Metal Hero wrote:Transformers Prime First Edition will not be hitting UK shelves in anyway shape or form, Cliffjumper and Bumblebee were on display but display is as far as they appear to be going.

That's horrible. Why would you tease somebody like that? Dangit Hasbro, grow up. I'm truly sorry to all of our UK fans and members. You deserve much better treatment than that.

The way this is going, I don't think we're going to see distribution of anything beyond the first wave of three figures in the US, either. Well, except for the online specialty retailers. Recall this was hinted at—and then the first wave showed up at Toys 'R' Us and we thought they'd all have decent distribution.

Oh, Hasbro. You jokers.

After the distribution fiasco last winter/spring, I'm thinking Hasbro is just not even trying to put Transformers toys in the distribution channel right now. It's probably a smart business decision. But if I'm right, it means that what appear to be some of the best Transformers: Prime toys are going to get very limited distribution.

It's definitely one of the things I'm worried about.

I sure hope Generations figures don't get shrunk.

It's looking like I won't get a full set of Dinos from the FoC line. I'm rather annoyed at that. However I'm still hopeful one of those spots will be a good Shockwave.

I'd like to see the Kre-O Devastator and G1 Optimus versions. If they look as good as they sound, sold on day one.

I really hope Shockwave and Starscream make the line up, which, we're then down to two. Man 8 slots gets eaten up pretty quickly. Why do I feel like there will be another bumblebee so then now....1 more slot. It sure would be dandy if it was arcee though.

Nothing interests me whatsoever from this news. The possibility of a Grimlock and a Shockwave has an eyebrow raised ever so slightly. Yet that hasn't been confirmed...sigh.

Optimus Maximus sounds rather child oriented. Playsets aren't my bag.

Oh well....3rd party it is. I need more Optimus Prime, BB, Megatron, SS or JAZZ figures like i need a another hole in my my head. See ya Hasbro. Till you do something cool anyways.

Optimus Maximus sounds amazing!

And now, two out of my three posts will be about how sad I'll be without a Generations Trailbreaker/Hoist mold. Come on Hasbro, get it together.

A Cybertronian Jazz? Fantastic! Instant purchase. I've always wanted a toy of Jazz as he appears in More than Meets the Eye, and this is probably as close as we will get. Glad to hear about FOC toys, but of course I hope Generations is more than that. Hopefully we will find out more at NYTF. And the idea of a base-former for the smaller scaled figures is definitely interesting.

Yea, 9 in 1, that's 4 vehicles, 4 robots and 1 devastator.

Still sounds interesting.

There only being 4 Constructicons doesn't phase me in the slightest. In fact I'm really curious as to how they'll handle Devastator, since he couldn't do the typical "everyone becomes a limb" combination.
Wonder how big Devy will be?

Ah, anticipation. How I missed thee.
