I'm limited with my budget and space and only Starscream satisfy my Seeker need. I have the G1 re-issue and the G2 original so it's enough to fill the G1 seeker mold need for me. That 130$ will be better spendt on a MP-something.

Still, I do really hope that set will have French on the box and will be sold in my local TrU. Even if I don't have interest in buying it, it mean that the other collector editions will finally be available EVERYWHERE and that Québécois will not be considered second class citizens anymore.

Well that's the good news, we arent second class citizens anymore, there is french on the box. The insecticons and the year of the goat stuff can ship to quebec and Devastator will be available as well.

Also, the price hike for canadians in general isnt as bad as I thought. Those platinum editions are high as all hell but its expensive for everyone.

100 Canadian is a GREAT price for YOTH Prime, WJ. If you don't already have it, I'd try and find the budget for it.

HAHA! I know but that's the sad part that Kanrabat was eluding to earlier. YOTH Prime wont ship to my adress because there is no french on the box. It has been 100$ before and I would have bought it then but they just refused to ship to either my adress or their stores in quebec. The platinum releases this year do ship though so its all good from here on out. And as for the toy itself, I have the recent MP 10 rerelease with vector sigma and I am more than content with that. I will use that 100$ for the G1 reissues instead.

After walking out of a Canadian ToysRus in Edmonton Alberta we have our first Canadian sighting of Platinum Edition G1 Reissue Insecticon 3-Pack, and both Year of the Goat Exclusives, Optimus Prime and Soundwave! While finding these in stores isn't news to those in the States and Philippines, it is the first time these figures have been seen on shelves in Canada, and confirms they won't only be exclusive to their website ToysRus.ca. Head over to our Seibertron Gallery of Soundwave for a closer look, and stay tuned for more Transformers News!

Yeah, I predict those being there for a while.

For that kind of money, I'd hope they at least restored Laser Prime's light.

I'm hoping the prices mean they stick around for a while since I don't have the funds to snap them up right now.

I have to start being choosey. So lets see... overpriced reissues (which I want all the same) or MP Exhaust and Starsaber? Sorry bugs but I gotta go MP.

If I ever see the insecticons for at least 33% off, I may buy. Not for more.

Call me spoiled, but it's hard to justify 3 insecticons for 110$+tx when I got the ENTIRE Predaking for 100$+tx.

It's widely agreed that whoever priced the insecticons was high as a kite. That said, I'll be waiting for them to go on clearance.

Totally with you on that one. Not just that, but you could get the G1 insecticons (second hand without accessories) for at most 20$ each shipped and all. I still find it very expensive at 33% off.

I said I'd BUY them at 33% off because at 50%, the scalpers would be all over that **** and clear out the shelves in 10 seconds flat.

I "might" have been able to justify buying the Insecticons at a high markup if they were like eHobby and recolored to be the Diaclone colors. But just standard reissues of figures that--and let's face it guys--we can find in decent condition for $5 each on ebay? Uh-uh.

As to the funky colors of Laser Prime and Soundwave, they don't feel like they have any connection with the "story" for me. (Plus, I already have the Scourge version and the G2 Ultra Magnus version of that Prime).

Soundwave might be neat for giggles for the odd collection of clear minions... but I'd need a TRU coupon of some sort to bring it down to a reasonable amount.

They've got a ton of all that new Platinum stuff at toys r us on Broadway here in Vancouver.

Those prices are ridiculous. These will live on those shelves forever at that price. I'm sure they will never sell and be donated to charity after a year or two of just sitting there.
Why you price so damn high Hasbro?? tsk tsk.

And don't forget those prices don't include taxes yet.

Now, I imagine Optimus on stage dancing and singing.

But yeah, those things wont sell.

For these prices, better off importing some premium stuff from Hasbro Asia or Takara.

A more normal North American prices would have been at least 40% less than what is being asked here. Optimus shoudnt be more than 90$. Soundwave should have been at least the same price as the REAL MP Soundwave at 125$. And the Insecticons? 70$ top, like a full priced leader.

 I just got the old TRU Insecticons from '09 for $45 on eBay. I cut the hands off Shrapnel and put them on Kickback... added a little paint on the chest and wings, stood him next to Skrapnel and CW Bombshell, now I have a complete set of updated Insecticons. I'll buy the Platinum Insecticons as an army builder if they ever drop down to $30. Until then I'm content to army build from GOOD deals on eBay.
