Yeah yeah, but it's an armada mold, it's what I meant. I forgot who had it in armada.

Also Blurr, but with a less G1 color scheme and head.

Thanks. Sabr, that was a rather pointless correction then.

I mean, come on

No no. I won't even pretend to argue that that figure is not an absolute BRICK in its bot mode, it has ball joints in its hips it cannot even use because of the thigh shape, but I eill continue to contend that that is one of the best alt modes for Blurr that we have gotten (up there with Animated). Furturistic GOREALLYFAST car mode? ✔. Awesome Hover mode? ✔

I dont really get this statement. When was a Target exclusive in the WFC line more extensively retooled than a Selects toy?

I’m hoping Roadrage retains the Tracks tooling in the hopes I can repurpose her as Shattered Glass Tracks, but I wouldn’t be mad if that wasn’t the case. I’m almost certain that Bee is a reissue of the Walmart Netflix Bee.

Okay, what the heck is going on? I’m getting more and more and more confused by what hasbro’s pulling here, because we’re now knee deep into the last wave of studio series figures they’ve revealed, and we have no idea what’s coming in the 3rd quarter. WHY are they doing that? Not to mention that this current wave only contains 2 actual new molds (Dino and starscream) and 1 repaint (cybertron bumblebee), which isn’t hardly enough to consider a whole wave. Seriously when’s the last time we didn’t know about the contents of an upcoming studio series wave at least about 4-8 months prior to its release in stores? We basically know the ENTIRE rest of the year’s figures for WFC, But absolutely NOTHING from SS? I love the WFC line, but this is really pissing me off cause it’s starting to feel like a stupid joke from hasbro. We still love the studio series line, and I mean the BAYVERSE studio series. Everyone’s been begging for jolt, wheel jack, Tlk figures, more dinobots and literally TONS of other characters that have remained untouched. It’s just super weird how radio silent they’ve gone with this, and now even the leaks just involve more kingdom. I’m just hoping someone else is as annoyed as I am about this lol.

It bugs me too, especially since Live-action SS is all I collect, but we have listings for a good Bayverse wave sometime this year, and there is a Studio Series fan first friday sometime this month (though it could be all 86 for all we know).

Target exclusives.

Meaning I'll hope to see them in a year when/if Entertainment Earth gets them.

Simply no point in me getting excited for something I'll probably never see in store, and can get off Ebay if I want for a nice 100% price increase.

If we're talking just Target exclusives specifically, ER Thrust is basically the answer, and also ER Runabout got a new gun in addition to his new head, since Selects only ever get new heads or new guns but never both and never Conehead-level retooling. If we open it further to WFC store exclusives from all the stores, then we're looking at more examples such as:
-All 3 versions of the ER Conehead retooling
-Siege Ratchet had a surprising amount of retooled parts compare to Ironhide to give him completely different detailing on a lot of his bot mode parts in addition to his new head (which is basically the extent of what I would expect for Road Rage, a new head and then some different bot mode parts to give her different detailing & slightly different proportions)
-Siege Greenlight was a completely new retool of the PotP Moonracer mold (that was probably meant to be released in PotP originally, but oh well)
-ER Ironhide & Ratchet's earth mode retooling
-ER Prowl & Bluestreak getting their different/more-accurate hoods in addition to their new head compared to the retail Smokescreen version of the mold
-Netflix Soundwave & Bee

Emerje wrote:It was only a Walmart exclusive because it was a convenient place for Hasbro to release it, not because Walmart asked for new Bumblebee figure that only they could use.
I dunno the exact science/specifics behind store exclusives, I just know I've heard people say that both of these things said here occur when it comes to how store exclusives happen and I just assumed that they knew more on the subject that I did. It would explain how Target ends up with some many exclusives that are specifically red to match their brand, and if a store was ever going to try to ask for a specific character, Bumblebee would probably be that character at this point (which could be entirely how Buzzworthy exists in the first place).

Emerje wrote:If the next line is really going to be "Evolution" then what better place to put a Goldbug figure?
I mean, if those new out-of-nowhere "leakers" are to be believed, there is absolutely a Goldbug coming at some point.

And this is besides the one we are getting in the Shatered Glass line right? And yeah, Thrust is definitely a big time retool, I just always lumps him in with the seekers, who are redecos.

They were talking about regular CHUG when they said it, so presumably they're talking about a regular G1 Goldbug and not the SG one, but they also said everything they listed was "0-2 years out" when the majority of what they said are already pretty safe assumptions to be getting at some point, restated a lot of already known/leaked stuff, and just kind of showed up out of nowhere, so more than a few grains of salt to be taken into account here.

If it's going to use the VW mold then it has to be the G1 Autobot by default since the SG Autobot is evil and VW wont go for it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't a lot of the figures listed in the previous post intended to be part of Earthrise's late waves, but got cut when COVID screwed up their 2020 plans and displaced as Netflix? I seem to recall that being said for Soundwave, his tapes, Elita 1 (who also has extensive retooling), Thrust, and Runabout. It's also been said that Netflix Bumblebee was supposed to be in Earthrise, but VW took so long to approve the figure that Kingdom's waves were set and Bee got moved to Netflix. If Thrust really was intended to be sold at retail then the Dirge and Ramjet wings would have been already part of the mold cutting that cost.

I also don't think Hasbro minds don't extensive retools on an exclusive when they can get multiple uses out of it like ER Ironhide, Ratchet, and SG Ratchet (or the Coneheads if the Thrust story is false) which greatly mitigates the costs.

I still find it strange that Kingdom doesn't have a Bumblebee figure when he's right there in the original promotional art (but not the big poster).

Well the credible leakers have said since I posted this that the sketchy guy who "leaked" G1 Goldbug & others is in fact full of it (and the new SS listings not lining up with what he said further proves it), so it's probably a moot point now.

If I'm remembering right, Soundwave and BB were supposedly planned for mainline ER but didn't fit (and the VW licensing thing happened as you said) and thusly got put in Netflix, Elita was allegedly planned to be a Selects release as a straight new head repaint and got moved to Netflix, and the rest we have no indication of having ever been meant for mainline other than speculation. I think if anything, the product numbers and such supported the theory that most of Siege Wave 5 was supposed to be mainline ER and that's when it got cut short.

I can't wait to see Road Rage! I am not crazy about the Target-exclusivity, but I will hunt for her when she's available.

I'm really just waiting to see the rumored voyager Tigatron. Other than him, the only must-have on my list remains the Ark itself.....

I think the bigger point in your argument is the fact that Bumblebee as a character SELLS and sells well. Really well.
Why in the world someone like Wheeljack or Arcee would get another release instead of BB.....
Obviously there's a reason, but man... Seems like a very legit situation to question Hastak's decision making.

Didn't Emerge already speak up about it? He said he found it so odd that the Cyberverse repacks were selling better under the buzzworthy branding than when they were originally released under Cyberverse. I saw that too. That Cyberverse BB that comes with the boat armour accessory sold terribly and lingered for months on end, but somehow all of those sold out instantly under the Buzzworthy release, with only the Megatron left behind.

But regarding Bumblebee, tell me O Supreme, do you see lots of him in the Cybverse Deluxe and Warrior class Bees at your stores?

ZeroWolf wrote:I think hasbro knew the situation with Bee and Kingdom, hence why the Spike and Bee Buzzworthy Bumblebee two pack has very Kingdom like artwork...

The only reason I am not 100% sold on it being done for Kingdom is that it would be the only core G1 fig to be innacurate in alt mode.

I and a few others have said a few times before that the Buzzworthy stuff does just fine by me. On of the ultra?/mega? (really big but simple) ones has taken a while to sell off, but still moves, and this is over 4 stores in my area that I've been hunting. Even the SS car shatters have sold which surprises me.

Are you sure you aren't just seeing a combination Buzzworthy Bee and Cyberverse Bumblebee adventure stuff?

Oh I didn't mean it was ever meant for Kingdom, just that hasbro wanted to sell the idea that they were meant to go along with it. Otherwise why that artwork when showing the pair running along inside Unicron might have been a better fit.

Of course a simpler explanation is the artist just liked drawing volcanos

Pretty sure, but if you say Buzzworthy is moving well, I'll take your word for it. I really want to take a drive one Saturday and just hit all 10 Targets in my area, and take photos to show you all, but the time, and fuel I dont think would be worth it. Honestly, since I have zero interest in Cyberverse, I can only report that I'm happy to see it's almost finally gone. Those toys I KNOW sit around for ever. I know that the Buzzworthy line is made up of several different toys from different lines. I don't think it has any Generations (I could be wrong though). I do see the SS repacks, those do seem to sell ok, but I still consider those SS, just with different packaging. Other than Buzzworthy SS, I honestly have no idea where all the toys in the label come from. I just know I can go to any of 10 stores in my area, see plenty of it, and only a *few* Core & Deluxe Kingdom at some stores (some stores have none), or regular SS. And NO Kingdom Voyagers or Leaders at all. The pandemic is obviously not the issue here, since Target can stock Transformers toys, it's just a huge imbalance on what they order.

What I'm not understanding is your frustration with the Buzzworthly Bee line in the first place, unless it really is just with your local stores stocking habits. The only Buzzworthy Bee items that share any shelf space with any regular figures you are interested in seeing are the SS deluxes, which have been moving well, even car Shatter. Everything else has its own shelf tag/space and isn't competing with Generations or SS. I basically look at Buzzworthy Bee as Target's equivalent of the Netflix line; a store specific line that they will stock along side the regular releases.

That's exactly it. Target stocks a lot of Buzzworthy, and seemingly Don't stock Kingdom, or to a much lesser degree for unknown reasons. If Kingdom is selling out so much that when Target gets a case or 2 of a specific assortment, and it is gone in a very short period of time, one would think you would want to restock that item as soon as possible, not let the shelves sit empty for several days/weeks. But that's just me.
