I don't think they will ever make the... finer details, but I do hope an updated Thunderblast will be "hot" and FEMININE like ER Arcee. Backpack and shellforming be damned.

No Legacy Arcee like pretool shenanigans please.

I could see Ironfist from Siege Hound in both modes, but for me he would be a bit too big. Continuing with Hound, it is kinda strange we didnt get an earth mode one. I still use Universe Hound in my collection cause, to me, it is still by far the best Hound made. I really want a new Ironfist as well. Also I see why people are putting him and Crankcase as mould mates cause of those 3rd party ones years ago. But even if that Ironfist was great, it made the Crankcase repaint, not that great. They are just too different. Although with the way :TAKARATOMY: :HASBRO: has been doing these heavy remoulds, they may be able to pull it off. Ironfist and Pyro are two figures I would really like to have.

After reading the IDW 2.0 Transformers comics, a character I way, way really want a figure of is Geomotus. Just think he is super cool looking. Size and shape wise, he may be able to be remoulded from a Crankcase or Ironfist, if they dont share a mould. Far as I know Geomotus is a new character created for IDW 2.0. I havent checked the wiki or anything yet. Plus I never heard of him before and I have either watched/read nearly everything Transformers.

That Tom Hardy/Mad Max meme is the gift that keeps on giving, lol :KREMZEEK:

The last time we got a Crankcase update it was a really good attempt in the Allspark Power Bay movie sub-line of all places.

That toy was originally meant to be in the 2008-2009 Universe line, but Walmart demanded more Movie toys, so Hasbro gave Crankcase, Fracture, Breakaway, Jolt, Big Daddy, Divebomb, and Grindcore all Movie packaging ad toy bios to satisfy Walmart's demands.

Yup, and we got some really good repaints out of it.

Big Daddy and Fracture where fantastic uses of those molds along with Crankcase.

What I'm saying, is it was a really good attempt. We'll see what the Legacy version brings to the table.

Picked up Bulkhead and Kickback at Target today. Scalewise, Bulkhead is only shorter than Rodimus at the head level, which sort of gives credence to some kind of Optimus retool. As Voyagers, they're bigger than the previous voyagers. While Bulkhead's scale works fine, I think Blaster is a bit too tall, but I can live with it.

Found the Legacy voyagers and picked up Blaster yesterday. I expected him to be good based on what I'd already seen, but he's honestly blown my expectations away. Since he's a bigger voyager, I thought he'd be a bit light and hollow feeling, but he feels like one of the most solid figures I've bought in the last few years, especially in the legs. He's a simple figure in concept, but everything about him is super well done. I even like his headsculpt. Even though I'd still prefer a Marvel/toy accurate head, the face on this one gives off the same ultra-hardcore vibes as his comic appearances. I hate to throw the word "perfect" around, but Blaster may be one of those very rare, virtually perfect figures. Early contender for toy of the year for me.

And that doesn't even mention Eject. I like him more than I thought I would too, he's pretty fun. I just wish he wasn't clear plastic and/or some of his parts weren't as thin, but as long as he doesn't break, it's fine.

Anyone else have trouble getting their Skid's roof to slot into place? One of mine's back corners refuses to stay put, it pops right back out.

The corners are fine with mine, but I'm having a hard time with the hinge under the windshield that connects to his head. I gotta be very gentle when trying to put it (and the roof) in place in vehicle mode. I thought it was the corner tabs as well, but it's the hinge itself. :-?

I was having that issue at first, but realized it was a lot easier if I did the front of the windshield right after lifting up the front end to get the head out of the way. Everything just pops into place, but that back corner just wont stay down.

New Galleries: Transformers Legacy Laser Optimus Prime and Generations Selects G2 Megatron

It's been a while since the last Seibertron.com Galleries, but the most recent version of Laser Rod Optimus Prime gave us little choice but to start up the gallery machine yet again. Behold -- almost 250 photos of the all-new Leader Class Laser Optimus Prime from the brand new Transformers Legacy toy line!

The all-new Laser Optimus Prime gives a modern update to G2 Laser Rod Optimus Prime. While the toy takes a few ques from Earthrise Optimus Prime, it is mostly a brand new figure. While it's tough to top the original G2 Laser Rod Optimus Prime, Legacy Laser Optimus Prime tries it's best. This version has the expected sword accessory, a new axe accessory that fits in with the theme of Legacy, and has a cannon that attaches to the base mode which can also be used as a hand-held accessory.

The camera didn't stop with Laser Optimus Prime either. This was a fantastic opportunity to take a comprehensive look at Generations Selects WFC-GS14 Megatron, which homages G2 Megatron in all of his green with purple 1990s-styled camouflaged glory. This version of Megatron is a recolor of the Transformers Earthrise Voyager Class Megatron.

Laser Optimus Prime just started showing up at retail and is available online. Selects G2 Megatron was an online exclusive. Both can be found from various online retailers. Selects G2 Megatron is currently available at the Seibertron Store.

Check out both galleries using the image links below and share your thoughts about both figures on the Energon Pub forums. Enjoy!

Looks awesome, can't believe they retooled op's legs and didn't remove his extraneous trailer hitch, it's really annoying :HEADHURTS:

Nice gallery! Though personally I think the original and the TR versions are superior to this new version at least looks-wise in robot mode. Vehicle modes can't really be compared, the TR figure incorporates the tanker, the others don't. The trailer might be the best part of the Legacy release. Still a nice figure.

Found Legacy Galvatron at one of the Targets near me. Hoping that they'll get the others soon, I'm really itching to get started on the Stunticons and pick up the Prime Universe fellas

Nice gallery. Where as photos of golden disc tigertron totally put me off a figure these have done the opposite on two figures I was never keen on.

I have the original g2 prime and it seemed a much big figure so to see this optimus nearly as tall is nice. The lack of red on the knees and the tankors sticker is still kind of annoying but as per the norm of hasbro encouraging third party add ons. I'm also not keen on the shape of legacies feet but that's because I'm picky more than anything else. I really like the TR version and don't really need a third (technically Forth as I have the old deluxe to get rid of somewhere) g2 prime but I'd be tempted now.

G2 megs looks decent in robot mode but like prime I have the original and purple TR and artic selects. Selects Tank mode is still a let down for me in the green coloring as details are out of place compared to the original but I think if you get legacy prime he is kind of a must to go with him.

If hasbro goes all weird and releases g2 prime in heroic colors for selects rather than as magnus I think I'll be picking one up

Looking good! I'm always down for a G2 Optimus, really looking forward to finding him in stores.

I need to get myself a G2 Megatron, somehow I've gone all this time without one despite having the purple Combat Hero version.

I have all three Generations G2 Megatrons, all using different molds (green from the Earthrise mold, purple from the Titans Return/Legends mold and gray from the Siege mold) which is pretty neat.

Definitely love seeing him next to Generation Selects G2 Megatron. I originally passed on purchasing the G2 Megatron. This just might entice me to purchase him to have him alongside Optimus Prime once i find him in the store.

A Scourge version would definitely look great along with a Laser Ultra Magnus version. If in fact HasTak would make the other two they would look great alongside the original releases which i own. I know the Laser UM was a e-Hobby exclusive release but still it would look great in those colors too.

I would think Toyhax would come up with or plans to release a sticker set for G2 Optimus Prime; giving homage to the original G2 version, especially for the trailer.

Man I was really, super excited for Legacy G2 Prime when I heard about it. After seeing it, I am not much at all. I wish they hadnt re-used those legs, the new Bulkhead legs would have looked awesome on G2 Prime. I dont like the upper shoulders have no articulation, his proportions are just too off for me. His upper body/chest is too small; vertically and horizontally. This gallery is great but seeing Legacy G2 Prime next to the original just shows off how cool looking the original is and how strange proportionally Legacy one is. None of those poses look good, and its not Seibertron's fault, its just Prime's awkward look. I understand how some would say Im being nit-picky, but its just a lot of small things that add up to me. I may end up buying the OG one. I wanted to like the new one and planned on using him as my upgrade Optimus to match Selects Ultra Megatron.
