For Earthrise, Hasbro has apparently increased the cases from 2 to 3 figures, which may eventually lead to some shelfwarming if they did not pick wisely on who gets shortpacked.

Here are the wave breakdowns:
Wave 1 - 2x Grapple and 1x Starscream
Wave 2 - 2x Snapdragon and 1x Starscream
Wave 3 - 2x Megatron and 1x Quintesson.

Massive boooo on wave 3. Hopefully Target will come through on the Quintessons I ordered.

Also, Entertainment Earth has Wave 1 battle master sets with Smashdown and Soundbarrier up for pre-order, but no individuals.

Wave 3 sucks hard. I spent all of last year seeing unsold megatrons, looks to be the same this year.

Although, it could be that there is another wave where Quintesson is also 1 and the other voyager is 2 (like another seeker of something). That could balance things around.

This...doesn't make sense? Unless that "Wave 2" you found is a revision wave, that shouldn't be right, the WFC numbers say Snapdragon and Quintesson should be in the same wave before Megatron's release (21 & 22 versus 38), plus Hasbro's own preorder dates have Snapdragon and Quintesson coming out at the same time two months before ol' Megs shows up.

I'll place my bet that both will be in Generation Selects with an oh-so small markup.

What, Trailbreaker and Sunstreaker? No, their listings/numbers place them in Earthrise wave 3, which means they're probably the "Secret Figure #1 and #2" mentioned in the preorder listings foe wave 3, as william mentioned.

They aren't selects, but even if they were, why would these 2 get an oh-so small markup as selects, when everything released under Selects so far was for regular retail pricing?

Okay, so I looked a little further on EE, and I'm not sure what the hell Hasbro is doing with the release dates. Everything for wave 2 on Hasbro Pulse is indicated as coming out in September (including Snapdragon and Quintesson) with wave 3 coming in November. Target and Amazon seem to be matching up with Hasbro's dates for the most part.

EE has wave 2 of all sizes hitting in July and along with wave 3 Voyager case with Quintesson/Megatron. Huh?

Here is what I think is happening, I think Hasbro is pulling weirdness with the voyager waves again and all the dates are somewhat questionable. Remember that under Siege, Thundercracker and Springer were supposed to be wave 3 originally, but then Hasbro went with 2 revisions for Wave 3 instead of the original wave assortment. I suspect something similar is happening here, and EE has some info on how the voyager waves will be broken down which may or may not be accurate.

I for one do not believe wave 2 will take all the way until September for release, so I'm leaning toward believe some of what EE has shown for the dates.

They could be baking in anticipated delays from the coronavirus outbreak. Hasbro said in an earnings call that the impact to date has been limited, but it could get worse over time, and it's hard to predict with any specificity.

Edit: BBTS has all of wave 2 in July, so maybe there's some inconsistent communication.

Yeah, July makes a lot more sense for wave 2. It will be interesting to see if the dates for wave 2 get pushed up for all the other retailers. I think putting up some of waves 2 and 3 for pre-order at the same time during toyfair might have gotten the dates crossed up somewhere.

I'm all for a Sunstreaker. Been wondering when we'd see him after all the Sideswipes out there!
Fingers crossed.... :D

Exactly. Generations Selects has been more like a series of online exclusives that are relatively easy to order and plentiful to those who want them, not marked up and scarce exclusives like from FunPub. Plus, most of what has appeared so far in Selects has involved minimal retrooling, like different heads or a different accessory or two. Trailbreaker and Sunstreaker would require a lot more extensive retooling (vehicle mode re-shelling, for instance) to be relegated to the Selects line. I would love to see some Selects repaints of Trailbreaker/Hoist into Lift-Ticket and Sunstreaker into Spin-Out and/or Cordon, though! :)

Greetings All,

having fun with Leader Prime & Astrotrain (my first Earthrise Figures). Prime is fun, and definitely evokes the original, though slightly smaller. Astrotrain was a PAIN to transform the first time, anyone else feel like his waist flaps were going to break, or that the hinges around the shuttle section just wouldn't line up? It all came together eventually, but man...was I worried.

I put them on my sons shelf. We haven't purchased any Leaders from the last two lines basically (aside from the Exclusive SDCC Throne of the Primes), but man are they tiny in comparison  for obvious reasons.

I am curious now about Doubledealer. I mean, lets not kid ourselves. PotP had the *evolution* gimmick, but Siege was basically the same thing. Earthrise Prime is kind of an outlier because while the trailer does have a base mode, there is obviously no way to combine it to Prime himself. I'm, thinking Doubledealer will be the first honest-to-goodness full sized Leader from Generations we've had since...TR Overlord? (not counting TT stuff) but you get the idea.

Not so fast, tho. Because of his Triple-Changer gimmick, he may turn out smaller than what you may be used to. The total weight should be there, just compacted in a smaller space. Plus, there's the missile...

Sorry poor wording, Doubledealer *may* be the first actual full sized leader in nearly 3 years. However unlike PotP & Siege which filled out there packaging with other *stuff* I guess the Missle would be the filler if Doubledealer is indeed smaller.

Also I think its neat they are giving Doubledealer that small compartment to hold WFC scaled cassettes (in lieu of the Powermaster Gimmick). I can just see he and Soundwave/Sounblaster having all sorts of tape swapping madness

And the chest compartment looks to be the larger one from Soundblaster so hopefully it is easier to open with a cassette inside than Soundwave.

I hope it's even bigger than SoundBlaster's chest, so you can ACTUALLY fit two tapes in simultaneously, lol!

Seriously, put the tapes in soundblasters chest at your own risk

I haven't had too much trouble, but I only put them in there in a specific orientation. That is with the more flat sides for both tapes against each other. The first time I put only 1 in there with the flat side up against the window it got stuck. Thankfully there was only 1 in there, so I had room to wiggle him loose.

Honestly I don't care if we can fit Knok and Skar in at the same time, I just want them to be easily removed without the risk of damage

I wonder if third party add on could make a piece that goes inside the chest/replace the lid to make it slot Titan/Prime Masters. :-?

Runamuck seems very blocky, might just settle for the one we already have in the CHUG line.

Wait wait wait.
So Doubledealer will be a LEADER class?
Sweet!

Even though he'll be voyager sized, I bet he will be pretty dense and massive, like Astrotrain. I compared Titan Return voyager Astrotrain to Siege Leader Astrotrain and it's a baffling comparison. TR voyager is taller than the S Leader. But that voyager is a rachitic TWIG compared to the leader, who feel and look THICC like a barrel.

Yup, modern leaders are small in size, but in hand, they don't feel "small" at all.

Eh. On the plus side he's a triple changer and will presumably be smaller than TR Overlord, who SHOULD tower over his (well his and her, if you go by Masterforce canon) cronies.

Overlord should be a Commander class at the bare minimum though. Then he will scale at last with "titan return" God Ginrai.

So after finding Starscream and Grapple yesterday, I had some time this evening to check them out a bit. I think both figures are great.

Grapple was a must have since I didn't currently have one for my collection, and he did not disappoint. Okay, well he disappointed me last week when I snagged one and it broke during the first transformation. One of the pegs on the crane assembly that go into the bottom of his feet in crane mode snapped right off when I tried pulling them out. It was a ridiculously tight fit and thankfully the one I got yesterday was a bit better, but still pretty tight. That is one area of this mold I will be handling very carefully and keeping an eye on because the pegs have a groove running around them that will create a stress point and section of weakness in the peg. But other than that, I love the transformation, the accessories are great, and I love the deco and specifically the shade of school bus yellow they used.

I was going to pass on Starscream since I went all in on the Siege seekers. 2 weeks ago I even cancelled my 20% off Screamer from Hasbro Pulse from the Black Friday coupon code. Then the crazy Target sale hit and I couldn't pass up a 2 for the regular price of one deal, so I picked him up. Boy am I glad I did. He isn't just an upscaled version of the classics deluxe mold, it is an improvement on top of the size increase. I really love specifically what they did with the arms and legs. Sure the legs probably could have used the more simple sliding joints to collapse like the deluxe has, but the way the front opens so you can collapse them is much more satisfying than simply sliding the legs up like the classics mold. And the arms, I don't think I've quite seen that arrangement for collapsing them and folding them into the chest. I can forgive the lack of wrist swivels since the transformation is so satisfying, and he's a seeker (not named Hotlink), his weapons are arm mounted anyway.

So thanks a lot Hasbro and Target, I believe you just pulled me into also going all in on the Earthrise Seekers now too. *wallet sighs, and cries*
