And that's all I have to say about that.

You repainted this same mold into a Rodimus. This is a fantastic mold but learn from your Hasbro counterparts and make a new Rodimus. Say no to the repaint drug.

I dont think the Rodimus repaint was Takara's idea. Wasnt it a series of E-Hobby exclusives, thus more like a TF-club exclusive type of repaint?

The Cloud line? I dunno, that may explain the price tag for all of them

Half of them were eHobby exclusives the other half were TTMall exclusives. http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Transformers_Cloud

Yeah these werent standard takara issues, they are more like the Japan equivalent of Club figures or con exclusives in the US.

Yeah, figured, it's a shame, as I wouldn't've minded getting Rodimus, Hellwarp, Shockwhirl

That line surprised me greatly. As Megatronus said when he found that the Rodimus redeco was the best use of the mold, I found the Shockwave rdeco of Whirl to be the best version of that mold. And I dont know why, its the same mold, no differences. I guess its just the attention to detail that went into these redecos was more than usual and the paint scheme felt so cohesive.
Even though Cloud Optimus had the most slavishly cartoon-accurate deco the Classics Optimus mold ever had.Hellscream9999 wrote:william-james88 wrote:Hellscream9999 wrote:

Yes, clearly quite a large amount of time and effort was invested in that line, they all felt so 'fresh' and unhindered by the need to be slavishly 'G1', it was a real breath of fresh air

S'funny all the talk about Cloud Rodimus, I got one recently and felt very... underwhelmed. I think his base red is a little dark, and I got sorta bummed out when I realized I couldn't logically put him in my C/G movie display next to G Springer.

By the way, lessons learnt, be very careful of searching "MTMTE Rodimus and Magnus" on google images, there is some fan art there you can never unsee.
