More power to you! I just don't get why he couldn't be pale blue and white like the original. Is this just a simple repaint? He still has his Titan master head.

As simple a redeco as they come. Topspin should be similar in color, but switched (the original toys were gang-molded I believe).

Yep. The same, down to the Titan Master, molded in different colors.

That's what I figured. Dark blue body with red arms. I'm not too familiar with these characters or their original toys, did they have variations with these colors that the new Legacy versions are homaging?

Yep. The same, down to the Titan Master, molded in different colors.
So why not just paint them the same and release them again? Maybe with 1 or 2 very minor differences so the TR and Legacy versions can be told apart.

I'm looking forward to these because I never got the TR ones. Once I found about about the "compatibility" with Legends Big Powered however, I managed to grab both Legends 65 & 66, just before they started to go for crazy prices in the aftermarket scene. Having one of each, with different colors & stylized weapons will be fun. It will be interesting to see how they look with Dai Atlas & team as well.

Ah. I see. Like I said, I'm unfamiliar. I still say these should have been Selects or Buzzworthy releases, or at least release the blue and white deco through those lines.

I mean, I'm glad we're getting variety in decos and they make sense, and honestly, these are more colorful.

Well they can, kind of.... as in the case of where I live. For several months, there was no Generations product (WFC or SS) being restocked on shelves at Walmarts or Targets near me, yet Cyberverse and Buzzworthy were always present, and plentiful, so its "movement" was hard to distinguish and it just never made sense. If world conditions were truly hindering the shipment of things, especially from the same manufacturer, and same brand even, why so many of one type, and not another... :-?

I mean it doesn't keep me up at night or anything, and pretty much what I never saw in store, I was able to get online which is fine, its just one of those oddities I'll probably never have an answer to.

I hope that Top Spin and Twin Twist are either packaged separately, together with each other or together with one of the rumored Fossilizers. I would like multiples and it would easier if they were either by themselves or with other figures I would want multiples of. But the last rumor I remember reading said something about the voyagers Springer and Bulkhead being packed with the Fossilizers which is considerably less than ideal.

Regardless, I want at least two of each of these. One set stock and then the second to parts swap. I wish I got two of each of the TR and TL versions but I should be lucky I found a set of the TR versions and stopped at one set of the TL versions. I parts swapped the TL versions as the TR versions are more in line color wish with what I remember having back in the 80's. The TL versions while beautiful and crisp color wise, are perhaps too vibrant looking to fully portray Top Spin and Twin Twist. At least for me. So they now have the names of their TR versions Titamasters, Freezeout and Flameout.

Pretty sure it was Springer and Impactor, actually, but that still brings up basically the same issue for a lot of folks.

What you are describing isn't empty shelves. I'm talking of the people who say their shelves are void of any TF toys, which we have seen did happen. In those cases, the Cyberverse toys did completely sell out and supply could not meet demand.

Twin Twist is looking good, can't wait to add them to the Generations Diaclone section. They're really digging deep and I love it!

For those that need reference, here are the original Diaclone color options. Still room for more repaints!

Interesting. TR Twin Twist was one of several figures in that line which were nearly impossible to find. TR Arcee was another, as well as Topspin. I don't recall seeing any of those on shelves anywhere. Wonder if they'll make this re-issue equally hard to find. My, they DO enjoy showing us things that are constantly unavailable, don't they?

I think you might be confusing TR Arcee with Windblade? She along with Twinteist and Misfire were part of the 5th wave of deluxes that really didn't appear in US retail, then showed up at Ollie's on discount. Another victim of poor distribution.

TR Arcee was the Blurr redeco that was a convention exclusive.

This toy will be as easy to find as the Amazon Golden Disk exclusives when they first came out (so pretty easy).
Just don't snooze on the month long pre-order or wait for a discount.

I got incredibly lucky and bought both Twintwist and Windblade after spotting them both on shelves at meijer in 2017, other than that the wave was incredibly elusive

That figure actually looks really nice. I never had the original versions of Topspin and Twin Twist, but once these new versions become available I may get them. I just hope they're in a box set together and not in two seperate sets with other characters. I realize I've probably jinxed it now and that's exactly what will happen.

My thoughts about the news on Soundwave and Motormaster.

Soundwave:
I kinda figured there were exclusivity contract shenaningans behind Netflix SW not being reissued.

Motormaster:
1. Not developing for backwards compatibility is dumb given Menasor's nature. I bet Takara are annoyed.
2. I think they're talking out their exhaust ports wrt it being only the legs. Because looking at the base mode pics, the pieces that make the arm skeletons use the same connectors.

I dunno. Their designer seemed awfully proud of it in his reveal video. Seems like they would have instructed him to make them compatible if that's what they wanted.

Ah yes, because Takara is responsible for all of the good things about Transformers and Hasbro is responsible for all of the bad things
