I was wondering the same thing, though I think the smart play is to pick one up on Ebay while they are still only double price, because once they sell out at HTS they will probably jump up some more. Of course you could always trade with someone... for example the complete TRU MP Soundwave for this set is a good value in my personal opinion, others may not agree.

Hmm, now that I've actually seen them in HD and what not, I'm not liking them nearly as much as I did at first. I think I'm more excited about the Mount St Hilary pop-up playset thing than I am the figures themselves. I hope Takara does (at least) all 5 of these in a G1-ish deco (but with that metallic paint rather than chrome) and doesn't stop with just Grimlock and Slag (who's more G1 accurate with a golden snout, by the way). They'll probably end up costing more than this set, but at this point those are the ones I want. I'll have to see about picking up the Mt St Hilary box/display on ebay if anyone is selling it off and keeping the figures.

I probably won't manage to snag this, but if I can at least grab the kreo set I'll be happy

This set is really getting a lot of negative feedback by folks who got their hands on at SDCC. Disappointments range from some of the worst cases of chrome flaking ever, to Snarl being an awful toy, to all four figures being very delicate and fragile because of the special materials that went into making them, to the pop-up base itself being even more delicate and fragile (some say that it breaks apart even if you just look at it funny).

It sounds to me like those who got this set and found it lackluster are like when a child bought a brand new G1/G2/BW toy they've always wanted, only to get home and find out that said toy is one the infamous GPS victims.

For the last few years, it's been completely unpredictable. It could be any day in the week following the close of the convention and at any time of day that the exclusives go live. Also, quantities seem to be a LOT shorter recently than in years past, so whenever the Dinobot set does pop up, it'll be sold out in minutes, like Bruticus in 2012 and Metroplex in 2013. If you manage to get one from HTS, consider yourself EXTREMELY lucky.

I'm more interested in the kre-o set honestly. I'm figuring, like Shockwave's Lab, it's more of a niche market. also, is snarl really that bad of a toy? what are the complaints with him so far?

I spoke to botimus directly cause, you know, we're boys, and he said that as long as everything is Velcroed in right it's very sturdy.

I totally agree. The quantity available on HTS has been dwindling significantly. Remember last year when the exclusives hit? The last GI Joe/Transformer Crossover was left out of the initial offering and weeks later miraculously showed up out of nowhere under the Transformers tabs. I luckily got my hand on the last Crossover set...I'm not holding my breath for Dinobots. It would not surprise me one iota if the same thing happens and we get the Dinobots weeks later. :BOT:

Grrr Hasbro Really? It's 10:50 am Central Time on Thursday 07.31.14 and NO Exclusives on the website yet? I have been hitting refresh for the last 45 min hoping this was the day to try for a Dinobot set...I cannot handle the waiting and refreshing much longer. I want to crash the system with everyone else. :-x :BOT:

Yeah, I'd be surprised at this point of the day (Friday) they'll pop up. It'll likely have to wait until next week.

Keep in mind that there's no guarantee that they'll have stuff to put up.

They most likely will, I think. The aftershow sale on HasbroToyShop is always mentioned prominently in the press releases for these exclusives as an alternative for those who can't attend SDCC in person, and this year has been no different. A certain supply is almost certainly put aside just for this purpose. It's a question of when, not if. I don't think it's time to panic just yet.

Really liking the Combiner Wars stuff. I'm guessing the Legends figure for the Stunticons is going to be Blackjack, since it DOES look like the original Decepticon Micromaster. I really like the new head for Menasor, it makes him look even more intimidating than his G1 incarnation. The Aerialbots all look nice as well, and I'm a little unsure why Hasbro made new characters to replace Slingshot and Wildrider. Oh well, they do look nice. Sorry Optimus Prime, but Motormaster looks WAY better than you.

I know there's also a lot of people not that impressed with RID (2015) so far. Hey I remember when the promotional poster for TFA came out 7 years ago, and I had my thoughts about it at first, but it turned out to be a good series (too bad we didn't get a season 4, because I would've LOVED to see more new characters, such as Galvatron). Well, this is a new generation for Transformers, you can't expect things to be like they were in the 80s. So far, I really do like Bee's figure. Can't wait to see how the Deluxe, and even Voyager figures in this lineup will look like. Don't really care for Legends figures, unless they're G1 incarnations of the Minibots.

some stuff sold out.

I figured the Dinobot and rock band sets would sell out before the Kreons, but maybe everyone is balking at the prices of the sets. They're charging a high premium for a cardboard mountain and some hot-glued scraps of fabric.

Grabbed the Kreons and the Dinobots. Will get the Rock Band dudes eventually, just couldn't stomach it on top of all the other stuff.

It'll probably still be around.

Dinobot set still not sold out! weird.

Doesn't surprise me the Kreon set sold out first. The price is incredible ($2 a Kreon, better than retail!) plus it's a great way for many to catch up without hunting them all down individually via eBay or wherever.

You know, I was all set to buy the Dinobots off ebay, but stopped myself. Glad I did so. I could do without the box (and the cost it undoubtedly added), but I really like the look of this set.

Yep, just got my Dinobot set; the Kreo set had already sold out so 1 out of 2 isn't bad.
