NGL, Inferno is a bit disappointing imho. armada starscream is great. love seeing the star saber, though not a fan of the wing sword. then again, I wasn't a fan of it on the original too. maybe if they had done it like they did on the deluxe one a few years back. Armada with no minicon though, seems wrong. wheres my Grid? err I mean Swindle. :-D

edit: just realized screamer doesn't have any minicon ports. How does PRIME Bulkhead have minicon ports, but ARMADA Starscream not?

Why did you thought those were deluxes? Description error?

It's written "voyager" on the boxes in 5 languages.

Anyway, those, I look forward to.

Starscream seens preety good overall. I like that they kept the collapsible backpack from his Generations figure.
The accessories are fine, but it would have been cool to have more Minicon ports.
The wings look more G1 inspired with those proportions, which I don't think it's bad, just different.

Inferno looks pretty menacing. Can someone say which kind of ant this is based on?

Day 917 of waiting for Transformers Armada Masterpiece news.

Man, these both look fantastic! I can't wait to buy Starscream four or five times! Really love the update, I want to see him with his shoulder canons deployed (looks possible). Not sure about the wing sword not just being removable wings, but I guess they didn't want to do the folding gimmick. Wish they would have painted it red and white instead of the whole thing red, feels like a wasted paint asset when it looks better in white on the back of the box. Star Saber is pretty cool, too. So far the Unicron Trilogy remakes are killing it.

I actually like the way they changed up Inferno's transformation. Always thought the arms and legs looked weird as ant limbs being so big. We actually got a preview of this on the Cybertron Metroplex box art so we should have all seen this coming. The articulated head reminds me of Ramhorn. Should be a really fun figure. Looks like the ant mandibles are still articulated.

It's in the name, he's a fire ant.

Very cool. I was on the fence about Armada Starscream, but I'm off the fence - I'll be getting him. Inferno was an auto-purchase.

As for Armada Universe Starscream, there is no Armada Universe in my headcanon, or at least not one visited via multiversal shenanigans. I suppose this Starscream will be him returned to life after Galvatron blasts him into dust.

Does Inferno not have a 4th butt-flap/rotor-blade? If not, I wonder if 3rd party help could fix that, or not because his robot legs fill his abdomen. Regardless, that head sculpt is screaming at me to buy him...and that he should not be repainted into Antagony without extensive retooling.

Armada Starscream I'll have to see in person. Looks great, but I still have the whole Armada Seeker fleet from back in the day, plus the deluxe, and I need to curtail my army-building with non-G1-esque Seekers.

If you look on the back of the box the wing sword is white

It’s hard to find flaws in that Starscream, Minicon ports aside. I especially love how they captured his brooding character with that excessively handsome face :P

Starscream ..is a Starscream. I thought Armada Screamer already received a modern update not too long ago?

Inferno looks great. Something cute about the Ants features. I don't like the idea of a gun stuck on top of a Beast Mode. I'm used to weapons being hidden in BW figures. But apart from that he looks like one of the most faithful BW updates yet.

Starscream got a deluxe around 2012 or so. Hardly recent, and different class. It was 2014 to be exact.

Transformers is nothing but disappointment lately. Inferno is my favorite Predacon & I couldn't wait to see him. Robot mode looks good but that ant mode sucks! I might just save my money because I have the original it's far superior. I see no reason to blow $30 for a downgrade.

It's all a bit timey wimey. I recall seeing Armada Screamer around the same time as Generations Sky Byte. Which it was - both in 2014. Just didn't realise that was eight years ago now

The new one actually looks like an Ant. Which is what this line has gone for with the BW figures since Kingdom. Less stylised Beast Modes.

One thing I can say about this new one is, I've never had an Armada Universe Starscream in the past. So, it's new to me.

I have a friend who Starscream is his favourite character and he has all of them. From Diaclone to present day. So I just see new postings like this one and just get a sense of deja vu

Somewhat disappointed by the lack of minicon ports on Starscream, but I knew that gimmicks would be removed from Unicron Trilogy remakes and that it was going to be a sticking point for me from the get go.

Inferno I'm liking very much, specially like the articulated jaw to showcase his madness. Although I'm disappointed that he doesn't actually have his gun, but rather rips off his own ass to use it as a gun. I may end up designing and 3D printing a custom gun.

I still love the "realistic" alt modes mixed in with the screen accurate robot modes, it feels new, better for mass market appeal, and will help these figures stand out if they ever do ANOTHER remake of Beast Wars and go for screen accurate alt modes at that point. However, I'm a bit worried they'll extend this aesthetic to Dragon Megatron. I mean, dragons don't exist so there's no "realistic" way to do him, but I'm afraid they might remove the Transmetal details from the alt mode to make him blend in more with the season 1 cast. I really hope they don't.

Thats me all over. except for the diaclone, I dont have that one...yet. oh and pretender, missing him too. Honestly I've been super excited for this release. I have the previous generations armada screamer, but his clear orange plastic bits have all cracked. his swords still sit in his wings ok, but his head is held on with sticky tack :-(

this also makes me very excited to see the armada megs. honestly, I did not like the armada toon at all, and though almost all of the autobot toys were crap, I absolutely loved the decepticon toys, just wished they had articulation. Bring on Tidal wave, Cyclonus, Demolisher, Wheeljack/rampage, and toss in a Sideways for good measure.

It is noticeable that his gun isn't in his hand, it was a very distinct feature to his design.

Honestly, I can't seem them going any other way. TM2 Megatron doesn't fit in with the rest of the Beast Wars figures released since Kingdom. Unless they change his aesthetic to bring it inline with the others. Bypassing the Transmetals to include him, as they have, will likely lead to caveats.

I really really don't like what they have done to Inferno's torso. Making the ant eyes that much smaller just creates this wide sea of red between them on his chest when the blue eyes were such a prominent part of Inferno's chest on both the original toy and the cartoon model. They've gone from being main aspects of the front of his chest to inconsequential aspects hidden on the sides of his chest.

I love how unhinged Inferno looks, and the ant mode is pretty tidy, I defiantly need more Predacons to even out the Beast Wars ranks so he'll be an instant buy

Still doesn't make it look "good".

The only other way to have made his robot mode chest be toon accurate would have been to use faux parts, I think the approach they used is much better.

That's subjective. Less stylised and more "realistic" is what they are going for nowadays though.

I think it could also lead to a better looking Antagony figure too.
