But the same could probably be said for TF Prime. As amazing as that show was, even if I was collecting toys at the time, I probably would not have purchased any of them. For a short time, my son wanted all the RiD mini-cons, but when Hasbro royally screwed up their distribution beyond wave 2, that all pretty much came to an end, I'm not paying scalper prices for little $5 transforming balls. Additionally, its looking early on that Cyberverse wont offer me anything either. I don't want to jump the gun, but The only reason why I came back after 10 years of no collecting was Combiner Wars. The entire Prime Wars trilogy has been a real joy, along with some frustrations. if it all comes to an end after this so be it. It may take a few years at any rate to catch up on some of the special items released in these lines I was unable to purchase initially.

I avoided RiD15 because the toys to me seemed cheap (my son had some mini-cons and Deployers and the quality/detail was just not-the-same as Generations). Also it was based on a mediocre at best animated series. I was midly excited for the Combiner Force, but when I saw Ultra-Bee & Menasor were basically happy-meal toy level toys, YES I avoided them like the plague.

The warriors are a lot of fun and true to what we want from figures. A nice alt mode, a good robot mode, a fun transformation and thats it. No quirky gimicks, just a good old time transforming them back and forth with innovative and fresh designs. If anyone likes Transformers as a toy (devoid about them being based on any media), then this is the line for you, especially the Decepticons.

And while I get where you are coming from with the Combiner Force toys (which I too dislike), they are NOTHING like the previous happy meal combiners we got. Which was armada. I mean go to the 12:42 mark right here:

That is clearly much worse than any RID Combiner.

As both Hellscream and I keep mentionning, we are not talking about the Deployers. Those are restricited by the gimicks.

We are only talking about the warrior class (ie, warrior class Fracture). Also, RID has kept the legion class alive until TLK came and picked it up again.

Well of course engineering technology would improve from 15 years ago even among cheap toys...not much though ;) .

When you consider a Happy Meal on Average is about $5 U.S....and 5 of these toys would be $25...the RiD15 Combiners retail for $30 (which blew my mind...I thought they shold be closer to $20....)...there's not much difference, I could see them released as Happy Meal Toys.

Yep, huge difference. The leader of the free world is just that a person of prominence that gets attention paid to them regardless of how they sounds. You are just some anonymous guy on the internet, as am I. Our thoughts and opinions don't have the potential to cause concerns on a global level.

Also, by all accounts, the leader of the free world is in fact an a-hole.

Actually our comments can cause concerns on a global level. Someone on the other side of the globe seems to be concerned how I word my comments based on their own personal values. Good thing no nukes are involved though. :michaelbay:

And I couldnt agree with you more on the leader of the free world. But the point I was trying to make is some peoples online comments have shock value that creates attention. Others not so much...

Yeah, I wouldn't compare the warriors to any of the other garbage from that line; they are easily above most other figures, they were fun and had such personality.

Which is sad because many of your points have some merit. But one can't even read your points without the condescending, know-it-all attitude dripping through just about everything you post.

That is why most of the board seems to rail against your posts. It isn't your points, it is the internet-tough-guy type attidude you use in making your points. Or, not sugarcoating it as you call it, which is really just internet for acting like an a-hole.

Apparently, Target is doing some sort of toy aisle reset on 1/15 (new year, new products! All shelfwarmers must go!).....so even when referencing the DPCI, he was unable to grab from the toy pallets for me. :(

Just had to fix that for you. I know things are different especially when it comes to a hard street date (even if its only mandated by a specific retailer). I worked for one a while back though. I purchased some movie-line toys that HAD hard street dates at least 2 weeks early. I know technology has changed now, I've experienced items on shelves be "unscannable" at walmart before. But unless someone can show me (and this may have happened), where an employee was terminated, or a fine was upheld for breaking street date, then this is all just self imposed sanction.

That is factually incorrect. If the product has been stored in the rafters of the backroom (which they do for handling large resets), they are completely inaccessible to anyone until the time comes for the product to come down and go out >:oP

As for the street date, it is just the pm's at targets, at it is actually a protocol built into the cash registers os that won't let a product be sold early, I don't believe it can be overridden at this point

Stock rooms must be a LOT bigger now than I remember. The store I worked at had nothing that was inaccessible. Also what about all those who have purchased PotP product at Target up until now? Yes I had someone actually go into the stockroom and pull out a Dreadwind for me, but I had seen some deluxes on shelves. There's too much inconsistency across the Target chain for me to justify a hard street date.

Usually, but this is all about whether something eeks into the store before or after the reset product comes in bulk. The deluxe's were released months ago, so they trickled into the stores and were due to go out the 26th of November - that's why they were on the cover of the weekly ad for the week after I believe, when they had that big toy sale going on one weekend. As it was so early, they were cycled into the backroom like normal product.

However, this changes when several trucks worth of stuff shows up in the course of a few days for one revision. When reset product comes in, it is allocated to several pallets, wrapped in plastic, and loaded into the rafters to keep it out of everyone's way (as a lot happens in the backroom) This way it is all together and semi-organized, and no one wastes time logging all the contents into backroom locations - which then have to be removed and those locations subsequently updated to reflect this (which would be a massive undertaking)

I hope this goes some way to clear things up, it wasn't laziness, there's no conspiracy, people just have to be a little patient :PEACE:

Thanks Hellscream for the additional details. although that latest indident does make me recall something that happened in0between CW & TR... for a sort period, local Targets near me had no product at all on the shelves, instead of putting it on clearance, they put it all in the stock room, old product and all, until the reset was done. I remmebe rwhen TR came out, and they had all these old leader CW Starscreams and Skywarps that I thought sold months ago...the guy actually told me they were just sitting in the back waiting for the reset... :HEADHURTS: I don't get retail stores sometimes, but oh well. at least they provided a date, and its not too far off.

I don't think it's a conspiracy. I think it's incompetence. Someone F'ed up at Target, plain and simple. There is absolutely no reason for products released on 11/26/2017 to be suddenly "street dated" for 04/20/2018 a month after they had been on sale in the first place. They were out on the damned shelves and then put BACK because they couldn't figure out how to override their own computer system to deal with what is obviously a data misentry.

I don't think it's a conspiracy. I think it's incompetence. Someone F'ed up at Target, plain and simple. There is absolutely no reason for products released on 11/26/2017 to be suddenly "street dated" for 04/20/2018 a month after they had been on sale in the first place. They were out on the damned shelves and then put BACK because they couldn't figure out how to override their own computer system to deal with what is obviously a data misentry.

Yeah, that is a total mistake, I really have no idea how that happened, as it is clearly incorrect, but this isn't something the stores handle or have any control over, that's something upper management handles.

Well that explains a lot

I see the decoy armor in weapon mode, Loudmouth on his torso, but what is in his left hand, a RiD minicon?

Yup, that's Sawtooth ;)
Good eye ;)^
