Currently no-one on Amazon sells the Hasbro Combaticons for a good price. You people don't know how hard it is for me to decide which ones I should get. I am wanting G2 Superion with the PE upgrade kit, I want Computron, I still need Cyclonus and the other deluxe Stunticons for photoshooting the prototype for my custom Menasor torso when I finish that, And on top of that I still have not gotten UW Devastator!!! :-(

If you cant find Hasbro for a good price, then just get the takara one. You'd end up paying the same but at least getting the new molds and better paint apps. Preorders for $88 USD at anime-export end Febuary 26th http://www.anime-export.com/product/29861

Hmm I'll think about it. Aren't they usually 150 dollars for normal online price?

No never. Anyone selling for that amount is reselling it and did not get it from Takara proper. The retail price in Japan for first party retailers is usually between 11,000 and 12,000 yen (94-102$ USD), 88$ is special for the preorder.

Actually that wouldn't be a bad idea. What irks me about him is that he never actually buys any of the figures we argue about. He is just here to argue. He is the new Tsu. ;)

Hmm I seem to remember them being sold at about 150$ on TFsource but I guess I'm wrong. I prefer to shop Amazon though. Amazon seems to either have really GOOD deals, or really bad overpricing however. UW Devastator on Amazon is about 230$.

Thats not a terrible price for devastator is the shipping is free, its about the same as TF Source. But in general, Amazon is not a place for Takara toys, Amazon proper doesnt sell them, only second and third hand buyers.
Your only 2 options are a Japanese based seller where the product is same price as hasbro but you have to pay shipping, or an american hobby seller (like BBTS or TFsource) which charge more but take care of the importing for you.

Yeah I think UW Devy is a prime item on Amazon. Now all I need is a better budget.

It's getting real 4chan in here.

@Delta: It's shared between TTmall and asian marlet general release
Also, Delta, you should know better than to feed RX when he's dropping "hasblow" bait. (he basically already admitted he's arguing with you specifically because he has a beef, don't rise to it)
EDIT: Sorry Burn, wasn't meaning to pour any fuel on the fire if that's how this came off. Aleady typing when you stepped in.

@SillySpringer: As you'll probably come to learn, Amazon is goddamned awful for pricing. A lot of aftermarket toys you pick up on ebay for 1.5 - 2 times the retail price can be marked up by about 8 - 10x the retail price.
The good deals you mentioned are usually from specialist retailers who list on amazon when the item is first released, or from amazon themselves listing the hasbro product, again, just after release.
A good guide for an aftermarket TF (in my opinion) is about 10-20% less than an buy-it-now price on ebay (which sellers slightly jack up to entice impatient bidders who think they might not win the auction)

An item share by a general release doesnt sound like the definition of shared exclusive if its general somewhere. Lets not confuse the issue.

The Japan release of Defensor was TTMall exclusive and thats it. Hasbro Asia is a different release anyway and came with different stuff (like the coin). A shared exclusive means 2 companies are listing the exact same item at the same price. Like when both Amazon and BBTS had Platinum Predaking (or something else, but it was definitely in the platinum line).

You either can't order from them, or they will charge and outrageous shipping fee. >:oP

Dude, FTS is all for you. First, 1$US is... 1$US! Crazy, I know. Also, promos, promos all the time. And finally, reasonable shipping fees or most of the time, FREE shipping.

...

As for us silly Canadians...
1$US = 1.30$CAN. They charge Canadian taxes. Shipping is never free. In fact, the base fee is 30$CAN for a paperclip! And the more you buy, the more it increase. And finally, no promos. Ever.

Can you guess that...

Your right, in terms of distribution, we are doing pretty well in comparison.

But it is pretty sad to wake up one day and realize that the value of your money has dropped and that things you took for granted, like looking for deals on e-bay and buying from BBTS, is now off limits.

Correction:

1$US = 1.40$CAN

I do preffer Hasbro's colour choices for their Blastoff. But I will also wait to see what the final pics are like. Silverbolt's yellow legs were blinding when we first saw them but they are perfectly fine and non detracting in hand.

And yes, I am super excited for this guy. I am so thrilled there is a new mold, an retooled helicopter, new coloured feet and more coloured combiner pegs, and all this in a non exclusive package. Pretty cool :D

Haha. But my point was not that I liked the feet but more that I liked having something unique that we havnet seen before, such as appendages of those colours. There is some added value there, and I like that more than I like what the added value entails. If that makes any sense.

Also, its pretty interesting how we feel towards those coloured feet. If they were flip out feet from the actual deluxes (like G1 Liokaizer or RID Landfill and a ton of other combiners), we wouldnt mind. But since these are extras to add on, our sense of the figure's uniformity changes. Since it is not part of the actual leg, we dont accept the illusion takara is trying to put on for show accuracy. I dont have an opinion, I just find it interesting since this is the very first time this happens in a combiner.

They do make it a little difficult to scramble the hfg's; though, it would make some combinations even more out there, deco-wise :-?

Too early to judge with the image of Bruticus. Blastoff isn't actually that orange. Same phenomena with UM. His blue looks different when in hand.
