That part is pretty much the only negative I see in the figure. Not because of the battle damage, but because it's too big and protruding in truck mode and makes a huge backpack in robot mode. Luckily in Ultra Magnus mode it's not very noticeable. I do wish they would have done something about the space between the front wheels and the shoulders in truck mode.

Yeah, that bumper served an ulterior motive for God Magnus's original toy, but for this Ultra Magnus, it's just there to complete the homaged look of the vehicle mode.

So, I've been checking HTS everyday hoping the deluxe Siege figures would get restocked before prices went back up but... now they're all gone. Not sold out - gone. Searching for them on HTS returns no results.

Popping in at the most recent Page, as Soundwave is a "jet" in this line, what is to become of his prior Cassettes? Are they going to be reimagined as Weaponizers now?

Personally in spite of his iconic, yet hugely outdated look, I've always felt HasTak have missed a trick by not incorporating the Cassettes into Soundwave. Either as a Gestalt or Apex Armour to the base figure.

Both Laserbeak and Ravage turn into cassettes and fit into Soundwave's chest compartment just as you would expect them to. They can also peg onto his shoulders for some reason.

The cassettes are still cassettes ;) it's been theorised that you could still make a fan mode of a boom box for sw but either way his chest still opens like normal.

Just noticed it, too!

Maybe they'd finally realised the prices were wrong and quickly took it all down to fix.

Pretty sure they're supposed to be bucklers/small shields and peg onto forearm :-?

They've just decided to make them micromasters with cassette modes unfortunately

Ohh, That's really a bit disappointing then. So that leaves Beast Wars and Animated as the only series that did something a big different with the Cassettes at least? You would have thought, given the emphasis on mini figure augments of this line, Ravage and Co would have been first on the list for pioneering the concept.

Well, remember, this is warden, if soundwave isn't cramming laserbeak or ravage into his chest, why would he even be there? He serves no other purpose otherwise

That was my thought as well, but they pulled all Siege figures down including in-stock and correctly priced items.

Prime and Megs should be here Friday from HTS.

Yeah, I bought Prime the other day, and went back this morning to get megatron, and poof, all gone.

Weird. I thought for a minute that I might still be drunk.

Yeah, I meant that they had taken down all the Siege stuff, to reassess everything.

Due to the cassettes being in the same size class as the mixromasters, are they going to have a combined weapon mode?

I’m a bit surprised that Optimus Prime hasn’t been made into a cassette that fits into Soundwave’s chest. Then again, that wouldn’t be GEEWUN enough for Warden.

the cassettes are basically also Breast partners now.

I guess so. But how does a Bomb altmode even work? :-?

Aside from something you would make Drones into, as a one time use kind of thing.

Personally I'm fine with Micromaster-scaled cassettes, as Legends-scale require a bigger Soundwave and a Voyager Soundwave is what my collection needed anyway. >:oP

Well, the cassettes being their G1 size (approximately old!Legends size) would work with a Voyager Soundwave

Now all I hope for is this Trilogy gives us Rumble and Frenzy. Or will it be Frenzy and Rumble?

I liked the idea that it was tainted with Unicron's cells (I always saw the planet x inhabitants as being close to Unicron since one of them shared a name and gimmick with armada sideways :???: ), and that allowed laserbeak to explode and regenerate

I really hoping for a set of Siege Soundwave compatible Frumbles as well. I find the Micromaster size perfect for the Cassettebots ;)^

Someone has already asked, but has there been any mention of Laserbeak and Ravage combining into a larger shield or something. Honestly I hope they don't so all of the engineering can go into the transformation.

No, their gimmick is storing in Soundwave's chest first and foremost.
