Please do not take this the wrong way, I am just really curious about where those predictions came from and what they were based on.

So far all of them did. He has a source that's in contact with an Asian market dealer I think. I don't ask a lot of questions. That's a good rule for life.

what about the time they said hotspot would be based on the prime/motormaster mold? and I am pretty sure takara's cw devastar wont be released as individual mps.

The Hot Spot bit was contingent on not getting a Bruticus. What's interesting now is that since we have a new Hot Spot the source is backing off of saying Bruticus is definite. Seeing a teaser pic of Devastator doesn't negate the lack of individual releases. What might happen is they're all released at once instead of being spread out.

I dont get this, does it mean your source is saying Bruticus will not be coming? Because I might not have the same definition of backing off.

And if your source is saying that the hotspot mold means we are getting a Bruticus, then I could have told you that too. From the way you are writing it, it seems your source is speculating rather than giving information only few know.

Maybe the making of a Bruticus will be tangent to CW being successful? Heck, it was just a few months ago that we had toyfair pics of the Protectobots and now here he is! Maybe we'll get prototype pics of Bruticus a few months from now.

They should make that the official combination, just so Devastator doesn't feel so bad about his own club foot!

Why BBTS? For any japanese stuff, you are always better off going to amiami or HLJ. Due to shipping and exchange, BBTS is only advantageous to Americans. Unless they have something you cant find anywere else of course.

TakaraTomy Transformers Unite Warriors: Constructicon Tease

The biggest tease to our fandom TFyuki has struck once again! Hot off the heels of the last Devastator tease, he now brings us a purple and green silhouette of the individual Constructicons that make the upcoming TakaraTomy Transformers Unite Warriors behemoth. While Hasbro's rendition certainly isn't shy of the camera (seen here recently in hand) the TakaraTomy version seems to be biding it's time and building anticipation. How do you think the two versions will differ? Join us in the Enegron Pub to discuss this latest development, or browse our extensive and exclusive Gallery Section. Either way, there's lots happening so stick around and enjoy all that Seibertron.com has to offer!

I've always been a big fan of Takara but I got a feeling there won't be too much difference between theirs and Hasbro's. :-? :VEHI:

You know, I'd hope the reason for all the secrecy is that they've overhauled the figures to give them better articulation. But life sucks and it probably is just a commercial ploy.

You never know these days, just look at how NOT different both Springers are. I'm inclined to think it'll be signifigant enough of a difference based on their Superion and Menasor, but we'll all just have to wait and see.

High expectations are high expectations. Remember, the silhouette gig has been done before with Superion and Menasor from the same line. And all we got were different decos. >:oP

Let 'em dream JZGR. Trouble is, reality ain't too much a friendly mistress  The mold is done. Unlike the first two gestalhts where the heads were remolded adding new "articulations" so late in the cycle is just not POSSIBLE!

Guy and gals..........Tomy will just repackage theirs with more bling (box, instructions and paint additions or subtractions). That's all.

One thing that's weird is that Defensor hasn't gotten the hype treatment yet. Maybe the release cycle will be:

Superion + Menasor + Devastar then Defensor? Unlike the domestic with Defensor first being released.

Wouldnt it be awesome if they downsized him to 6 deluxes ? So that it actually is cartoon accurate and not just a big for nothing kiddie toy ? I know its just wishful thinking, but I can dream, right ?

I understand the hate, but not the decision to pass.

There's a lot off with Devaststor. The size, the individual robot articulation, forearm integration (I know that's more G1-esque, but it's not my preference). Still, I get the constraints Hasbro has to deal with, and think this is an awesome value for what it is. I can also see several 3rd Parties stepping in to fix some of the issues people are complaining about.

So I'm in. And if they show up for CostCo, I'm in for 2 (at least).

Why do you keep calling it a "kiddie toy"? None of us have it in hand yet, so we can't tell what the quality is like. I also kinda disagree on the 6 deluxes, I think it's awesome that we're getting a massive devastator, for a really reasonable price.

Redundant topic which has been regurgitated for the upteenth time by the same source but I'll also chime in. As scaling in the original show is so waaaaaaay out there, having big @rse contruction vehicles over deluxe TF makes sense.

Mass shifting not withstanding, the Constructicons SHOULD be bigger than normal cars. Take this picture reference:

Image

If we are to suspend a bit of belief and apply some real world physics, the Constructicon and Combaticons should be waaaaay bigger in vehicle mode. Aerialbots? Well maybe Silverbolt. So Devastar's size is just about right not withstanding the very minute voices of dissent.
