Wait, we know who we're getting in waves 3-4? for deluxe, voyager and leader? what are the remaining wave breakdowns?

We don't know the actual wave breakdown, but we know the remaining characters:

Brunt (Weaponizer)
Impactor
Mirage
Red Alert
Refraktor
Barricade

Barricade is the only one that hasn't been officially announced yet but hasn't shown up in art and leaks. That's 14 figures to PotPs 13 Deluxe so it isn't likely there'll be another Deluxe in this line. We might actually get two figures in wave 4 this time, can't picture them doing five in wave 3. Probably Barricade and Red Alert since they're repaints.

Emerje

Does this include voyagers? and does this mean no other leaders?

I forgot we do know most of them and edited my post. Wave 3 Voyagers is Thundercracker and Springer. Wave 2 Leader is definitely Optimus Prime from Ultra Magnus, probably paired with a Shockwave again and then a new mold for wave 3 if PotP is anything to go by.

Well, at least there are some things that haven't been revealed yet; be cool if we got an energon shockblast colored repaint of shockwave

A new Impactor? That is interesting. Meanwhile, Thundercracker isn't especially. At this point, they might as well release a new Starscream as a triple pack with TC and Skywarp. They do like to play it safe though. The Rainmakers or Coneheads could have been a better choice. But I suppose it is like releasing a new Mortal Kombat without at least three Ninjas

At least several of the mk ninjas have interesting move sets ;) Impactor is coming because of the last fan vote, so it's him vs Mirage. No idea if they'll be a two pack or single carded.

Single carded was confirmed.

Regarding UM, I'm personally OK with the smaller size. I don't need Magnus to be this absolute giant, and he looks like a generally better toy than the CW figure (plus he does the Prime-in-armour thing! Yay!). I do agree that it's a shame for those that want a bigger figure though, as IIRC the CW figure is a bit...average.

I have to say I really like the idea of using the Leader class to give us Voyagers with lots of big accessories. There's not that many characters who need to be enormous, and power armour/add on gimmicks are fun. We're still getting the same amount of plastic, it's just spread out differently and in more parts. Plus, I will be honest, I was getting a bit sick of the whole "MAKE IT TALL AT ALL COSTS" thing that HasTak were doing. It resulted in unsatisfying, hollowed-out, heavily compromised figures who really suffered for the sake of being HUGE. Case in point, Predaking and Devastator. Had they been sold at the same price point with the same amount of plastic but condensed into large Deluxes (or in the case of Predaking, large Deluxes and a large-ish Voyager, because seriously 5-man teams with same sized members don't work) and a combined mode a few heads taller than a CW gestalt but much bulkier and with more parts, they could have been great.

Changing the subject, what I would like to see is a Leader class Weaponizer of Armada Overload- instead of being a Voyager in power armour, he'd basically work like Cog but with more, bigger chunks of weapony goodness. Also he'd have a designated combination with Prime for full Armada referencing joy.

Overlord and, basically already a Weaponizer, Energon Wing Saber seem to be the two people want to see most as larger Weaponizers. Although, if we're really getting a Leader Optimus Prime that looks like the Cybertron version then we may be better off with Cybertron Wing Saber instead.

Oh, I see. Is one of them going to be (upgraded to) a Decepticon now then?

ZeroWolf wrote:At least several of the mk ninjas have interesting move sets ;)

True. I know these designs are suppose to "homage" G1 (ad nauseum) but I do wish they would do something interesting with The Seekers, other than slight retooling with the Coneheads. Make them a Gestalt, anything other than just a line of bland repaints.

With the Ultra Magnus repaint! I have such a fondness for that figure.

I want a leader class star saber (saber plus armor) and a weaponizer voyager victory leo, this design would be the perfect platform for victory leo without the strains of the combiner lines

Now that I think about it, a lot of Unicron Trilogy characters could be repurposed as Weaponizers and Battle Masters. Tidal Wave and Jetfire, for example, were literal proto-Weaponizers to Megs and Prime respectively. I know A Jetfire is supposed to be released with this line so just release his UT counterpart as "Skyfire" and voila!

Impactor is going to be a Decepticon only because "neutral" isn't an option. The theme for the pairing is that Mirage is trying to sway mercenary Impactor over the Autobot cause. The other options in the poll were Needlenose vs Tracks (brother vs brother in modern lore) and Spinister vs Wheeljack (saboteur vs scientist).

Yeah, especially since the um armor system is so efficient, you could simply remove jetfires lower legs and clip them onto the cybertron prime figure, same goes for jetfires chest and more :-? :-? :-?

Indeed. This is what I was saying earlier about paying homage to all of Transformers, not just G1. Unicron Trilogy could be integrated into SIEGE very easily. The only one that would struggle and/or need a different approach to be folded into a standard/Cybertron based line, would be to incorporate Beast Wars, as those gimmicks were context sensitive.

I thought for a minute that they were trying to say the Wreckers are "neutral" It's a good idea for getting a variety of characters out there that might not have been viable on their own.

That's what the Firestormers are, that listing was primarily called the Firestormer Pack in the product listings. We also know it includes at least one other figure that begins with the letters "Ai".

It't not a guess. The Chinese Kanji in that original listing were for Chinese names of Slandance, Sideswipe, and Aimless.

I'm aware you typically know your stuff Sabrblade, I was just teasing. Let's be honest, a G2 redesign for BW Airazor would definitely be thinking outside the box, in terms of design.

Maybe one of the exclusives we'll get this year will be Deluxe Hot Shot from Armada? Check out the art on the card for Siege Hound. That's not Hound's G1 head sculpt. ;)

All I can say to that is, if true, it's about time. Unicron Trilogy might be deservedly maligned due to the cartoon, in particular Energon, but the toy designs were (mostly) really good.
