It says that it's only 2 inches, and is only $12 instead of some insane price, so methinks Hello Kitty Prime is rather small.

STILL--will have to get this. My wife is a massive HK fan.

Though unless Hello Kitty is bigger than or the same size as Mickey, this could wind up ridiculously-scaled anyhow. Like, you know, most things involving multiple Transformers toys.

Well, here is how big Mickey is compared to a standard height DVD case:

And grabbing the measuring tape, he comes up to about 4¾" in height. So if this is true:

...then I guess Mickey will indeed tower over Kitty. But I am okay with this. They will still be the best of friends in my collection. And on hot days, they can even hang out with my popsicle mascot transforming vaguely Optimus-ish guy, for extra corporate mascot fun.

Man, add Pepsi Convoy into the mix... and too bad I never got Sports Label Convoy. I could have a whole bunch of fun with Mascot Primes! (What is Sports Label Convoy going for these days... Checking eBay... And... Yeah, never mind that...)

Yeah, Gari-Robo-Kun might not fit in with Mickey and Hello Kitty. He's diffferent for two reasons: He doesn't turn into a truck and he's kinda frightening.

Evanglelion units one, zero, and two. Though you've probably seen more pics of unit zero in blue than orange, since it gets a new paint job early in the series.

I mayyyyy have to look into getting those. :x

Before or after you get the Evangelion MP 10?

Q-Transformers toys are tiny little things, and both Kitty and the EVAs are Q-Transformers toys.

More cases of Takara names in Katakana with Hasbro names in Latin script. TakaraTomy's really making this confusing for those who try to categorize their toys.

How is this any more difficult than it has always been?

Well, up until recently, Takara's toys had always had one character name on their packaging. Now, some of them have two names on them.

Take that new good guy truck QT-19 toy seen above, for instance. The Katakana says he's named "Convoy", but the Latin script says he's named "Optimus Prime". Whereas the Katakana and Latin script for the other guy, QT-20, both call him "Megatron", thereby avoiding such confusion. One toy has two consistent names, while the other has two different names.

But Convoy is Optimus Prime and vice versa. Megatron has always been called Megatron by both Hasbro and Takara. I think what you're really seeing here is how Takara's products are enjoying a life outside of Japan (and thus are being marketed as that thanks to the Internet) so they are putting the Hasbro (or English) names on the products as well as the name from their local market. I wish they would just drop Cybertrons, Destrons, Convoy, etc, but this is a good alternative to that as well (though it continues to fuel these characters having two names which I feel is really bad for marketing purposes).

Maybe it's just me, but I quite like the Japanese names like Destron and Convoy. *shrug*

The name thing doesn't bother me either, and that Prime/Convoy is the first must have I've seen from this line. Well, that and Hello Kitty.
