Review Round Up of San Diego Comic Con 2016 Exclusive Titans Force Set

The San Diego Comic Con 2016 Exclusive Titans Force Set is going to go up on Hasbro Toy Shop August 9th 2016. While waiting, we thought you would like to see some reviews. These come from ChuckDawg and Optibotimus. Let us know if these help you make up your mind, either getting it or not, and if you would like us to keep posting video reviews like such.

You can also see comparisons bewteen the two Brainstorms here and a review for the Windblade mold in its Robots in Disguise colours here.

chuckdawg1999 wrote:The Titan Force set box is really nice looking, featuring an embossed front and back. The instructions unfortunately are printed on paper, which is fine, but the print is shrunk down and combined with the dark colors, ends up hard to read. Windblade is a vast improvement over the Generations version of the mold, and I personally like the blue and gray color scheme. If you're looking for the retail release I'd go with the Takara version, which is closer to the animation design.

chuckdawg1999 wrote:Ah yes, when Summer feels the hottest it's time once again for SDCC. With the lines for panels filled with A list celebrities who want to be anywhere else, showing trailers that are just slightly more than a title card, are even longer lines for baubles and trinkets in pretty packaging that drives up the price almost 100% over retail. The Titan Force set from Hasbro features an orange sherbet version of Sentinel Prime, and the first release of Deluxe Brainstorm. Prime is Prime, only more translucent. Brainstorm is an extensive remold of Deluxe Blurr. Brainstorm will be available at Walgreens at some point, but in a different deco.

Enjoy guys

Gotta admit, I love the SDCC deco for Brainstorm, but I prefer g1 toy-accuracy.

Yes let's all blame hasbro for not keeping a trademark of a character that technically wasn't around for almost 20 years.

Who cares, it's your toy. You can and will call him whatever you want.

well thrilling thirty had brainstorm and his name was arcana and its only been two years since then

Nope, the little guy went unnamed for Hasbro, as there was no real need then. TakaraTomy called him "Cana" by his original Japanese name.

In case you're curious, he's named after Nikola Tesla.

Although I like the coloured shins on the SDCC version and the blue being a bit like the Thrilling 30 version has some use I suppose I do prefer the tampograph on his shoulder on the Walgreens one is slightly more.

I'm 90% of the time going to go with Toy Accuracy other cartoon accuracy - especially after seeing the uglyness that results in cartoon accuracy with Unite Warriors Bruticus.

So, yeah, the SDCC exclusives page is up. From the first I refreshed to see it (was doing a refresh every couple of minutes) there was a message that said I couldn't add anything to my cart. So the inventory may not be released yet... :-?

Or they all sold out in about 3 minutes... :-(

Thanks to a tip submitted by user Agamemnon, we have been made aware that all the Hasbro SDCC Exclusive Sets are now available on line! Yes, a bit earlier than expected, you can now get San Diego Comic Con exclusives like the SDCC Fortress Maximus variant, or the Titan Force set, delivered directly to your home from the Hasbro Toy Shop convention exclusive page.

However, as Agamemnon pointed out, the exclusives don't seem to want to ship yet, so you might have to wait until it is technically August 9th.

Interested in any of these figures? Compare them to the regular, not as special retail versions here, using our own, in-house database of Transformers galleries.

Still on the fence? We've been providing coverage of some video reviews of these sets for a while. Check those out here!

And, as always, keep your optics and audio sensors tuned to Seibertron.com! Good night, and have a pleasant tomorrow!

These have been up on Hasbro Toy Shop since at least August 8th @ 11:20pm CDT and I've been watching these like a hawk so don't worry. The ordering process hasn't actually gone live just yet. >:oP

I think this article is extremely misleading...

Unless I missed something (along with everyone on other TF sites and Star Wars sites) the SDCC exclusives haven't been made available yet (as of 2:33am ET). Just like other years, HTS simply put the product pages up.

So yeah, they aren't shipping yet because they aren't available yet.

As of 7:30 AM CDT, still no ability to add TF exclusives to cart. What a tease... Image

Well this is good to know. I was trying to grab the Star Wars Black Series Ben Kenobi exclusive but it always said it was out of stock. I gave up around 1:00 and fell asleep.

And now Fortress Maximus is sold out. That didn't take long.

I don't know that they were ever actually available. Every item in that list had insufficient inventory to add to cart last night until about 1:00 AM CDT when I went to bed, and the same every few minutes since I got up at 7:30 AM CDT this morning.

I'm hoping anyone who was able to get an exclusive will share that here. :D

Cerebros has a faceplateless head. Both of them also have different paint apps than retail, but that's it.

Do you mean the difference or whether it was available? I didn;t check it every time I tried adding something to my cart, but I was never able to add it.

I believe someone said the difference was some gold instead of silver accents.

Well, sort of. The news item above mentions them going live late last night, but no one that I know has been able to actually order anything...
