I find it a little funny that it was brought up that this is what Classics should have been because that Optimus Prime looks to have the same basic transformation as Classics Optimus. It's the only way to get the truck front kibble to the back without going over the head like the Siege voyager. It's like they're actually redoing Classics with this. He sits down with his legs extended, spins at the pectorals, the head goes back, the arms do the G1 Prime thing then the back kibble unfolds and becomes the lower front and sides of the truck. The gas tanks then fold out from the thighs and the fists go into the forearms. There's also something that folds up and goes behind the matrix chamber and pecs but in front of the shoulder joints. The upper side panels and windows perhaps? It's difficult to tell from the truck mode pic as it doesn't show the hinge in the render.

Having the truck side/arm kibble on the back puts it in line with the KO Oversized Classics Prime that came out a year or two ago that moved said kibble to the back where it should've been.

What's weird though is that the front of the shins look like they're reused from the Siege voyager. It has what is the old trailer port on the outside of the left knee with the indent for it on the outside of the right knee as well as the effect part pegs. It also still looks to have the flaps on the knees as well as what was the pin hinge for the truck side flaps on the inside of the legs too. However the new trailer hitch is smack dab in the center of the legs cut in half so it's definitely not using the old port as those wheels are not switching to the other side of the legs as can be seen from the placement of that square hole between the wheels. It doesn't switch its placement between robot and truck modes as it would had the wheels switched sides this time.

So the feet, shins, and head? are reused.

I love how the Ironworks base has a robot mode now. It's one of the few G1 things I have left so I'm excited for an update. Grapple looks amazing. I can't wait to see the flood of Solar Storm Grappels for sale soon.

I wonder if the Micromasters still turn into guns.

However, I'm upset that they've moved onto Earth modes already. I was hoping for at least a few more Cybertronian molds. Especially if they're not doing the battle damage anymore. It makes me want to strip it off the other ones even more now.

It sucks that they never "finished" the seekers either. I wanted at least the Elites/Coneheads to go with the Aces, Rainmakers and Redwing. Then maybe the Welcoming Committee quartet as well. Seven seekers a year, that's a good number. The last year could've been the stragglers. Slipstream, Sandstorm, Air Warrior, G2 Ramjet, G2 Starscream, AM/SG Thundercracker and...black death Starscream?...Ghost Starscream?...Botcon Dirge?(assuming Dirge and Ramjet would've been retooled differently as they should)

Love these!

Maybe the trailer for Optimus is a bit smaller than I expected but ok....wait for the final product. So curious why he's a voyager class...just for the vehicle model? Because or he's bigger than prev Optimus in height or in robot mode doesn't see any clue to be a Voyager.

Really more love for the earth node idea...my dream to have better and great Dinobots rising!!    so the leak list was real!!! Now I want to see Wheeljack so bad!!!! Can't wai for more!!!!

I wonder if the other Transformers that were featured in Siege will get new toys in Earthrise. I want to see another Hound.

The main bot is Voyager-sized but the whole set is at the Leader Class price point. Like Studio Series 44 Optimus Prime, with the trailer.

Ironworks is a bit of a let down because i was hoping for Ironfist, but damn is he impressive once you move past that. I love the idea, and he looks great!

The new Micromasters look good too!

not sure about Grapple. I have him already, and while he looks great, I think I can wait out the Inferno tooling, and also hopefully a selects Artfire to go with Ricochet.

prime is a pass. I already have an MP-10 and a great voyager.

Mitigated on these previews.

Grapple has really a too much 80's look especially on the vehicule mode, it looks dated. Will it even sell to kids ?

Optimus, well, no surprise here, the expected retool of Siege. But for some reason, I think he looks... plain. So... classic...

Ironworks on the other hand... Immediate love. Need it ! And more like this. Small transportable base playsets which even turn into robots.
Unexpected and super welcome.

People seems to say it can be disassembled because it's a weaponizer, but none of these parts looks like weapons.
When I looks all the parts, what I see is ramp connectors everywhere, it can be disassembled because you can assemble the base mode as you whish. (+ combining with the incoming other guys like him to form bigger bases)

Yes!!!! I hope they made Grimlock into a Leader one size, some voyagers ( like Slug and Sludge) and some like Snarl and Swope deluxe size...will be a real dream    :x :x :x

Optimus: I'm really not sure about this. I like the figure, but I'm not sure I want the trailer. I'll have to sort that out.

Grapple: Must get. I've needed a Grapple forever and this guy looks like the MP with some gaps and better looking legs.

Ironworks: That thing is **** fantastic and I NEED it! I have to get that ten pack now exclusively for the Ironclad figure.

Micromasters: Don't really care, may still get it because I like their colors.

Okay, Ironworks and Grapple look dope af. And when there’s a Grapple, surely there’s an Inferno not far behind.

Lowkey kinda annoyed with Optimus, seeing as how it’s taken this long to, after over ten years of CHUG, get an official Voyager Optimus that comes with a trailer that doesn’t do anything fancy besides the classic “open up and it’s the Combat Deck” schtick. I’m gunna get him, but now i have to figure out what to do with Siege Optimus... :(

Ironworks definitely caught me off guard. The initial expected guess was the micromaster car, bumped into deluxe size, with more detailed robot mode, or ironfist, with new name because copyright. But nope, it is the base from ironworks micromaster set, now with robot mode! And you know what? This works. I am getting him. Now, i am curious if his "parts" can be used as weaponizer armor too, since i do not see any ports and pegs on those parts.

Have to say I am hyped for this new line, and proudly predicted the “siege but what you actually want” pattern! I have MP-10V and his trailer so this Prime isn’t necessary. I’m hyped for whatever new weaponizers they make and the earth mode seekers. I’m glad to have skipped on the original three as cheeseblock jets. Hopefully we’ll get a clean soundwave out of this line too!

I love both so far, but Grapple should have been a tall/lanky deluxe, and Ironworks a chunky voyager imo.

I really don’t care for that feature for Optimus figures.

It is.

They look good but... I was actually hoping for more Cybertron alt-modes.

I'll pick up Grapple for certain. But Prime is a pass for me since I technically already have the figure. The trailer does not justify me buying it.

i really feel this too. considering it's called "War for Cybertron", I was really hoping to stick to Cybertronian alt modes more.

So since we get grapple, inferno will definitely follow. Wonder if we gonna get selects roadhauler and artfire too? Because that is something i would be in.

I'm really hoping for Artfire, and i hope we still get Battlemasters so I can give Artfire his targetmaster.

Also just realized, since we are now on Earth modes, we will most likely not be getting the other 2 Autobot Targetmasters in this line :-(

Battlemasters will continue into 2020. So far we only have 1 listing though.

"Earthrise." What a stupid name. Even "Rebirth" would have been better, and it would have been a nod to a previous part of the franchise. Or would it have been too confusing for some people?

Anyway, as far as the figures go, Optimus was a given, but he'll be an in hand decision. Depending on how the whole package looks in vehicle mode. Grapple looks good. Pass on Ironworks, even though it's a neat concept.

Now, my question is (as it was before): since we're on Earth modes, will we see a gun Megatron?

Absolutely, positively not. Especially with what’s going on in politics right now, but that’s something I stay well clear of. I can maybe see a retool or the current Voyager into something akin to the M1 Abrams, and I would totally buy it, but if it doesn’t happen, I’m perfectly happy with what we got.
