I went to BBTS and looked at both versions of Smokescreen, and the Henkei version is waaaay better imo... Didn't think there'd be so many differences/improvements--

--spoiler is red, not blue and yellow
--the front of the car is blue and white, not black
--the white stripe is thinner
--the number 38 is not on the hood
--the number on the door fits in the white square much more nicely (this part of the Hasbro version almost looks like a design mistake-- the number looks too small, or he white box looks too big)
--the bot mode is free of those annoying yellow accents (besides on the head where they should be)
--the only chrome looks like it'll be the shoulder cannons and gun

And I can't tell, but it almost looks like the wheels are silver or white, not that seemingly random copper color.

To me, this is one of the most improved figures that Henkei has released.
I just changed my preorder to "1 standard and 1 collector".

QFT! I went with the Universe versions of Prowl and $Streak (largely to avoid the chrome on the spoiler), but if Henkei Smokescreen turns out like the photo the Hankei really blows the Universe version out of the water.

On the other hand, I hope that there is a Universe Red Alert and it looks decent. As far as I'm concerned, Sunstreaker is the only version of the Lambo mold that should have a chrome spoiler.

Oh, me too. I love the classics figures, but I don't always get the Henkei versions if Hasbro gives us something good.
In fact, I only have 7 Henkei versions right now out of all of my Classics collection, and you can't really count Thundercracker...
I'm considering one Henkei version of of both Cyclonus and Hound, but still undecided.
