Yeah, I've never had too much trouble with Concept Camaro BB. He's not simple, but he's not nearly as bad as a lot of the other TFs of late.

Jetfire is simultaneously too complex and too simple. The jet is little more than a mass of &*(^ing panels, but at the end you have about 90% of the *BLEEP* robot hanging underneath. G1 Aerialbots were better than that! :-x :BOOM: :BANG_HEAD:

When I was a kid I always found the Robots In Disguise X-Brawn figure hard to transform, mine was always falling apart as I transformed it.

Yeah, he's a bit odd too. Not as hard as Sideburn... but still plenty difficult.

THIS.

Anyone up to the challenge for answering this? Because I have no idea at all.

Energon Slugslinger. He's difficult both ways. A real pain in the ass.

I just received my RID Sideburn. Lemme tell you, I'm impressed! First, perfect vehicle mode. With RUBBER TIRES, SHINY METALIC PAINT, LOTS OF DETAILS, CLEAR WINDOWS, CLEAR HEDLIGHTD AND REARLIGHTS, CHROME EVERYWHERE. Man, this is the kind of details we only have on a 9000$ Takara edition nowadays!

Maybe it was because I saw a video preview a few weeks ago, maybe I'm used to movieverse figures, but transforming Sideburn was pretty intuitive and easy from vehicle to robot mode.

Hey, that guy is like a ROTF movie figure that came way before it's time!

I love Seibertron.com. Make a random thread, and you find out about some old and unexpected TF that are completely awesome.
:D

Glad you like him. :D I... also like him, too. His robot mode's ten kinds of awesome. I love the weapons, the roof forming a cool riot shield, the scope over his eye, and the vehicle mode is awesome too.

From robot to vehicle on the other hand... ;)

Haha yeah getting it the other way is a bit of a pain.

Did you get the blue or red version? I have both, the blue gets to be himself but the red has become my unofficial RiD Hot Rod. :D All the RiD Autobot car brothers are pretty cool actually. If you like Side Burn I recommend picking the others up as well. :)

Oh yeah? Challenge accepted.

Transforming everything is easy like matching pegs and holes. Only hard part was to figure out how to put the roof back on.
I know there's a place to store the silver gun inside the car. I thought I found a peg, but the left arm/roof would not be put in place if I peg the gun in that middle part.

By the way, I got the blue version. It's true the red one would look a lot like Rodimus. I got mine loose with all the weapons and missiles for only 15$+shipping. I'm glad that figure is not popular, making it affordable.

Look on Ebay just to see if a red Sideburn complete is for sale for a cheap price
Yikes! 15$ brand new + over 30$ of shipping, or 30$ brand new + even more rape shipping prices. Meh.
Transformers Club Exclusive Sideburn
Oh, I see what they did there... No wonder a Red RiD Sideburn IS Rodimus.

I've never met a Transformer I couldn't easily transform. (given a few tries at it)

RhA wrote:Honorable mention: RiD Sideburn.

I see this going around alot. I can understand how getting the arms done can be an issue, but once I figured out how to get them where they need to be the issue dissapeared. As for storing the chromed weapon in vehicle mode... I'd show pictures on how to do it, but he's in storage right now... and he's falling apart =(
Banjo-Tron wrote:Maybe I'm just dumb, but I HATE, HATE, HATE transforming Reveal the Shield Perceptor

The legs and everything that goes into them I admit can be fiddly, but I don't find him that problematic.
WolfDawg wrote:3. Warbot Defender

I can remember how and where everything goes in all modes, the only issue I have is getting the arms and/or legs to peg into the roof of the vehicle.
5. Classics Galvatron (I've yet to transform this guy without him falling to pieces)

I have, quite a few times in fact... but it kinda isn't worth bothering most of the time.
paul053 wrote:WFC Prime

Doable, but not enjoyable.

Add to that his extra 4 modes that aren't even in the instructions and wow, what a hot mess it would be if I took him out of storage.

With so many transformations under his belt it is hard to remember how to do all of them correctly... though even the instructions don't get them all right(he says as he tries to decrypt them). I get them all right about 90% of the time... the only one that bothers me is the cruiser mode.

DaftFan wrote:1. Generations Junkheap/ Wreck-Gar. (I personally struggled the first time getting him back into motorcycle mode, and still do occasionally)

I have a slight issue making sure the arms and hands are turned the right way, but nothing else.
2. Universe Octane. Not really challenging, but his little propellers scare me every time because I always worry about them breaking.

Don't worry, they can handle it.
4. Generations Cybertron Bumblebee. His panels have to be JUST right to all fit, and when putting them together, they always seem like they will break.

Ah yes, that one is not enjoyable, but I find he fits together a lot easier than CJ does. For some reason it takes almost 2 minutes to get his legs to stay aligned as I stuff them inside the vehicle mode.
Autobot-Hellstriker wrote:4. Animated Jazz...he's hard ton transform from vehicle to robot, mainly becausew of the legs in the trunk section.

Not to me they're not.

5. DOTM Skyhammer (Whatever that Voyager helicopters name is. Never transformed him either. I don't believe in using instructions.)

I transform him whenever possible just to see how awesome both modes look!
monstergrotusque wrote:Universe Onslaught i have a tough time with for some reason.

It's a mild annoyance getting his legs back into vehicle form, but overall I find him extremely satisfying going either way.

Never fell apart on me, and quite frankly I feel he's the simplest of the Car Brothers.

lol, well getting the arms and their kibble back to vehicle mode positions is always pretty awkward for me.

And that's just eBay's international shipping rape prices, red Sideburn is no more rare or expensive than the blue one. He was just a main line repaint. ;)

I managed to order mine MOC for 15$ plus 20$ shipping... WITHINN CANADA! For having sold items in Canada, I confirm the price is not inflated. Canada Post shipping prices are really way too expensive.

Well, I dont know where you live, but ironically it's cheaper for me to import from the USA than to buy locally.

That TF I just bought would have cost only 10$ maximum to ship from the USA. I'm not kidding!

Canada Post suck. At least, when I buy locally, the thing came withinn the week.

I only transformed Generations Wheeljack once, from vehicle to robot.

I decided it was time to transform him again. Big mistake.
HOW THE HELL CAN I MAKE HIS ARMS FIT INSIDE THE BACK? I see the pegs and the peg-holes, but I cannot manage to make it fit together. I must do something wrong, but what?
God I just HATE this toy...

I love Generations WJ to pieces, but I haven't been able to get it to smoothly transform back either. xD I can get it most of the way, but the panels won't all line up quite right.

...OH, make sure you rotate the arms correction. If they aren't oriented properly, they won't fit, but if you do, then they fit no problem, at which point you have to get the panels to line up right. xD

try pushing forearms toward trunk rather than trunk toward forearms. There are pegs on the inner roof of the trunk that need to line into forearms correctly.

There are a couple things you need to keep in mind:

1) The tabs inside the back roof need to slot into the grooves inside the lower arms
2) There's another set of tabs on the arms, in the middle of the lower arm. Those slot into the groove on the back of the twisting joint.
3) The weapon needs to point to the back, and stored when the panel is perfectly horizontal, so the part sticking out slightly doesn't interfere with the moving of the roof.

I tried everyting and it still fail.
Any transformers that is THAT fiddly to transform is a BAD transformers in my book. Jesus, Generations Cybertronian Bumblebee, Leader DotM Sentinel Prime, and Leader HftD Optimus Prime are piss-easy in comparison.
Sigh...
Just a single fail-step will DESTROY a toy...
I never thought a transformer would resist me. Ever. Generations Wheeljack did. The bastard won.

One more proof that RiD Prime Wheeljack is a much, MUCH, MUCH better toy than Generations Wheeljack.

trying to put RTS Wreck Gar into vehicle mode, and remembering why I left him in robot mode the last time I fiddled with him. I just cannot get the legs to line up to form the body of the bike. The Back wheel is the hardest one, but even the front I can't get lined up with the pegs.
