It's not the first time we've had our first glimpses of upcoming figures through this medium. IIRC this was our first indication we'd be getting a Generations Sandstorm.

I'll be the first to admit that it's highly unlikely everything mentioned here is 100% certain and accurate, but it is what it is.

Perhaps this is the second production run BBTS has had preorders up for since July. :-?

I can't believe no one's commented on these yet. I realize they're movie figs and all but DINOBOTS! Seriously guys, DINOBOTS as in plural, as in not just frickin' Grimlock for once (since Animated anyway :P)!!!

I'll get excited when I see proof that they're dinosaurs, and not just clones of Dino or some other BS.

Thanks for the reply, MKall, cause I seriously don't understand why so many people seem to think this list is a reliable source.

Even if Sandstorm appeared on this list, you guys fail to mention how many OTHER TFs appeared and never made it to shelves.
In other words, aside from the movie toys (which we know are confirmed, even if not specific characters), we really don't know if this is a Hasbro "to-do" list, a "wishlist", or a "gauge-internet-reaction" list.

I'm not a big fan of getting excited for fictitious product listings that will get cancelled or were never serious to begin with. Guys... take a deep breath and don't expect too much here. #-o Hasblow disappointment can be pretty devastating... especially when you hear Botshot and Construct Bot production will be ramped up. Especially when you see giant Optimi and BB figures with no articulation (or a 5 pack of similar Avengers figures @ Target).

The Hasbro financial trend is to tighten its belt and REDUCE COSTS. I sincerely doubt this list will come true. :BANG_HEAD: It would make more sense to plan on the movie toys rather than more Generations and Thrilling 30 toys. :-?

Leader class Grimlock and DLX Dinobots based on movie tech designs... oh please let them not suck! And if they could combine that would be killer.

Actually there is a good chance that some of these will be released, specifically the generations deluxe figures may be released, those being Arcee, Rattrap, nightbeat, tankor, crosscut, Chromia, Hardhead, and Jhiaxus. The reason for this being that a majority of the generations figures are based on their IDW counterparts, rather than their original iterations, and are coming in figure/comic packs to promote the Dark Cybertron arch. There's also a good chance for Voyager brainstorm due to his appearance in More than Meets the Eye. I however, don't know of Skybyte, jetfire, megatron and roadbusters status in the comics. Basically the point is, recurring character in the comics = good chance of figure.

Sky-Byte, an aerielbot? What are you smoking? Apart from his animated and Botcon counterparts, both main incarnations of Sky-Byte (RID and IDW) have been a shark and will always be a shark, so it's safe to assume this Sky-Byte is going to be a shark.

Did I mention his name has a hyphen in it?

We need a voyager/ultra sized Megatron... what are we supposed to do with a Classics-styled leader figure? For Skyfire, it makes sense, but Megatron?

I'm happy for a Leader Megatron. Main reason- Leader Megs can go with MP-10 Prime. And I'd rather have a Good Megatron to go with a Great Prime than a Voyager Megatron to go with the super-expensive Classics Prime, which I have yet to get. And honestly, the Universe 2.0 Deluxe Tank Megs is the best scale for Megs for him to just stand with the Cons... and MP Prime is probably the best Prime to go with most of the Autobots... Classics scaling is all messed up...

Oh...and after all the goodness in that list I wish a voyager Rodimus would have been on that list...

Excited for Arcee though

Excellent argument :APPLAUSE: , and some of those IDW deluxes have been mentioned before (which is better confirmation). However, I'd still ask what guarantee we have that Hasbro will extend the IDW line this far. With only 5 months or so before the May releases (I'm assuming the rest of the year already has planned releases), is it possible to get so many new toys before the movie line? :-?

I'm not against the idea, but I didn't think Hasbro had so many new releases per year. I thought it was 2-3 batches... Ehhh, I'm just being skeptical, and maybe these will see the light of day.

Thanks for your reply!

Well the Hasbro/IDW partnership, in regards to figure production, will at least span the Dark Cybertron arch which I think goes on till June or so.

I think that is part of the reason the movie line is in Generations....so they can sprinkle in some non-movies toys in there too throughout the year...

I would definitely welcome that, especially if the new movie figs turn out not so hot.

So since I haven't really thrown out my opinion yet because I've been busy, I'm going to.

In regards to all the Generations figures:

I'm usually a Negatron when it comes to the films, but I'm somewhat anxious to see how they'll turn out. Just so I can point and laugh at them.

At least we aren't getting Bumblebees of all shapes and sizes. It appears Grimlock's taken that role. Which, oddly, I don't mind as much. Probably because I'm just glad to see less of Bumblebee-palooza. >:oP

The ONLY thing that this list confirms is that fans are eagerly, entirely willing to go bat-shit crazy over even just the smallest hint of a whisper of an unconfirmed rumor.

The only thing that made arch an eyebrow even the slightest was the listing for Generations Deluxe class Arcee and then common sense kicked in and told me that Hasbro will once again F*** this up the same as every other Arcee the fandom has asked them for over the years.

Not meaning to sound negative, just being practical. It is utterly pointless to get excited over a single thing on this list. All it does is set you up for disappointment, or in the case of those of us who have actually been with the franchise since day one, it will bore you to death with the sheer predictability.

If we are truly getting Galvatron in AOE, then I hope he's not the same character as Megatron. Talk about beating a dead horse.

It seems we have confirmation on other Dinobots in the film as well. (Then again, weren't other Dinobots other than Grimlock confirmed at this point?) If they are going to be in their dino-forms, I'm already disappointed with scale size, As I would have preferred a voyager figure for Slug instead.

At this point I wouldn't be so quick to write off anything regarding fan favorite/fan demanded characters/figures given their recent track record which, at least according to most (myself included) are absolute rock solid homeruns:
  • Generations Springer
  • Generations Blitzwing
  • Generations Titan Metroplex
  • Generations Waspinator
  • Generations Rhinox
  • Generations Trailcutter/Hoist
If Hasbro really does take on Arcee in the Generations line, I have pretty high expectations for her. I think they're going to blow us away yet again. They've seen the 3rd party offerings, just as they had with Springer, and just as they did with Springer, I think they're going to kill it with a Generations Arcee figure assuming that this list is valid.

This year I'm thankfull that Hasbro has created mp Soundwave and his cassettes, Titan Metroplex and my latest addition: beast fire Predaking. And judging. By all the past years that we have seen list like this. I say that even if only two out of ten of each of these figure categories like for example, there is more than 3 movie leader class/titain class figure names up there. If only 2 out of all them oversized figures turned out to be good then that would be overall nice. And the same goes for like them generations voyagers and leader classes. And if you compare all those many figures to the very few that we have gotten this year, Now Then, that's something to dance for. :HALUC: :HALUC: :HALUC: :HALUC: :HALUC: :HALUC: :HALUC: :HALUC: :HALUC: ;)^ ;)^ ;)^ ;)^ ;)^ ;)^ ;)^ ;)^ ;)^
