Hasbro's been known to be iffy on JG1, so I don't see them doing the big three (Star Saber, Deathsaurus, and Victory Leo) all in one line. They'd definitely spread it out, that way they don't risk their sales in one blow.

I'm split on wanting Titans to go away. On one hand, that means more Commander options and chances for somewhat obscure characters... on the other that means no Titan Tidal Wave ever happening.

o.supreme wrote:There are several retreads of legacy characters when there are dozens still from the original 1984-1992 cast that haven't been represented in Generations in almost a decade, some never. If someone thinks waiting 5 years is too much because a character they like didn't turn out so well in the Prime Wars trilogy...try waiting 30+ years.

Clench...

According to Entertainment Earth and Target, July. >:oP

Either way, not until Summer is in full swing in the Northern hemisphere.

It's worth repeating that Star Saber and Deathsaurus's best chance was in the Fan Poll for PotP...and they were trounced by Optimus Primal (I like to think it was karmic backlash for them missing the 20th Anniversary of BW, which in turn created the Kingdom line as we know it today), and the reputable leakers said that there has been no movement on either character since that poll. Meaning very little chance of them till 2023 at the earliest.

@Overcracker yup Animated. Such a good toyline, I'd love an extension of that series looks to new characters.

Pulse always gives a two (or so) month later date. Most orders are actually fulfilled about a month or two before then. However, they release figures independently, not by Wave. Sometimes all of a wave will drop, sometimes all but one figure, sometimes one at a time...

For example, my Airazor was slated for May but arrived in March. While Airazor and Huffer were sent out at the same time, Ractonite was held back by a week.

The deluxe figures in Kingdom boxes could fit into containers less than HALF that size. And look at poor Galvatron's box. They could have fit it into a voyager container - the rest of that box is just hollow padding to fool people into thinking they're getting more. They're charging us more and giving us less. The 'struggle' may be real, but so is inflation. BOO!

The only Wave 3 Kingdom figure that I'm definitely buying is Tracks.

Galvatron is a maybe while that Rodimus is a no way in h3ll unless there's a price drop to Leader class.

Hmmm... If that's the case then true Japanese G1 fans should've helped us by stepping their votes up back then.

Guess I personally won't be paying for an $80.00 Commander class figure again (if at all) until Deathsaurus becomes the reason.

This is true, however, they have been tiptoeing around Victory characters for the past several lines. CW, TR, PoTP, all featured some kind of referencer or even a figure in some cases. I have a feeling they really want to make them, they just haven't found a place for therm.

And yes 3 Commander class figures would need to be spread out.

If we're looking at characters exclusive to Victory itself, Metalhawk received two figures, Liokaiser got one, Grand Maximus and Black Zarak were easy redecos. Star Saber, Victory Leo, Landcross and Deathsaurus (gotta change that name), none. The rest like the Pretenders and Dinoforce had US counterparts.

Exactly mi point. They've gone for the easy repaints and releases that also existed on this side of the pond, but have not taken the plunge to the actual figures that weren't around over here. The important ones.

Getting Metalhawk was great. Liokaiser was a decent attempt considering the CW combination scheme. Takara even released Great Shot from Six Shot as expected. But still no Star Saber. They seem to want to release these characters, just not taking the plunge on the ones that would require a new mold that may be hard to re-use.

But even then, Takara has done some retools unique to them, so why have they not actually tried Star Saber is beyond me.

Considering how Hasbro quite unusually integrated Dezarus into Liokaiser in CW, I thought they might have further retooled Silverbolt into Star Saber and make him leader of a 5 member team Road Caesar. Of course, now I am glad they didn't. I'd rather have a proper Road Caesar as well as all the other characters from Victory.

Damnation I was just too damn lazy to read through all the posts! :BANG_HEAD: So why did the powers decide on giving Rodimus Prime a blade?

Me being the simple guy I am I would have to guess :HASBRO: :TAKARATOMY: would have asked...."do we want to use these lame looking wheels or something better"? They used decent wheels for Hot Rod....c'mon :HASBRO: :TAKARATOMY: 8-| :VEHI:

It's the Sword of Primus.

I mean, as a reference, it's a damn cool one if you ask me. No one did, but I'm gonna give my opinion any way. Also, to anyone getting upset about the inclusion of the damn cool sword, gonna point out the Huffer was designed to so that he can do that do that thing he did in one episode. One time.

I pre-ordered the Battle thru time BW Grimlock and Mirage, but Im not sure Im gonna buy it. Every figure from BW: Uprising I try to get cause I love the setting/lore. However they have strayed too far from what pretty much all BW Grimlocks have looked like. The headsculpt is awesome, but the paint deco is far from it. Why someone thought it was a good idea to design Grimlock the way they did is beyond me. Mirage though, looks sweet, without a place for his shoulder canon though, I will stick with my Siege figure.

After seeing the video for Tracks I am a bit let down. Tracks is one of my top 5 or 10 characters and has consistently had bad figures. So I had high hopes for this new one since :TAKARATOMY: :HASBRO: had been nailing almost every figure perfect lately. He does have a great head/face, alt mode and a good robot mode; as long as he just stands there without anyone messing with him. But since I have my original G1 Tracks as him in my modern Generations collection, and this being the best Tracks so far, I will buy him.

:BANG_HEAD: I knew that, yet somehow my brain skipped over that fact. The principle remains somewhat the same however: characters with only Japan-exclusive molds aren't as likely to be made or be readily bought: "When did he appear in the cartoon/comics?"

Wouldn't mind TR Metalhawk though, or the whole Siege set minus Magnus and Pounce.

As for Star Saber not being done, just how well do swordsmen as robots sell here? I know in Japan they're a dime-a-dozen, but here I fear they may be viewed as Power Rangers knock-offs (if only they knew...)

Considering made up fan characters such as Drift, Windblade and the combined form of the Torchbearers (Victorion) all are sword wielders I think that would not be a deterrent. More obscure characters like Sky Shadow (Black Shadow) got toys. The only reason I can really think of as to why we haven't gotten Starsaber and Deszaurus yet is perhaps Hasbro/TT hasn't thought of a way to reuse/retool the designs as another character. Using a character just once is quite costly. Even CC Jetfire is likely getting reused in SG. I think the only characters not reused in Siege and ER are Omega Supreme, Astrotrain, Skylynx and Double dealer. Also the BM's Smashdown and Doublecrosser, but we may yet see some of them reused before the end of 2021.
