Neither Canada nor the US has gotten the wave 2 deluxes in yet. And I thought Jhiaxus was already available at Geekstuff, no? (could be I am mixing up with the studio series voyagers, which they got super early)

No, you're not the only one. I would love to have a Blaster with some sort of vehicle mode. It would be great even if Blaster and Soundwave had something along the lines of Perceptor's "tank" mode build into their designs from now on. Just a little something for them to be more useful or not look so weird if you displayed them in alt mode. Add a little playability to the toy. Everyone else can turn into alt mode and be useful in some way during a battle but Blaster and Soundwave can't. As it is, they're just glorified Action Masters.

Which is why I like Megatron not being a gun anymore. Sure it's a fun little novelty but that wears off rather quickly. I had my fun with G1 Megatron back in the 80's like most of us did but that was decades ago. I loved it when I got Classics Megatron and he turned into a Nerf gun as it was nostalgic. Then I realized how sucky it was. It turned into a role play item for me. Yay! Back to robot mode for you.

Transformers like that don't "woosh" around in the air. They don't "do do do" along the ground. They don't do anything really. They're worse than a Magikarp's Spash.

Fans: "BOOOO! He's too big! Blaster isn't supposed to be a GIANT! He should be a Voyager, darn it!"

Once the Wave 2 Voyagers come to the UK (unless they're already here and I missed the news), I probably will sell off my Netflix Soundwave and replace it with the Legacy one. I used to hate Siege Soundwave's vehicle mode, but it has grown on me over time. It would still be nice if Soundwave with the Netflix tooling is re-released some day, preferably with the yellowing plastic issue fixed, but I'm not holding my breath for it. That being said, I've heard reports of Legacy Soundwave also having the yellowing issue, so I'm not entirely sure what to do yet.

I've used it a few times but I really WANT the G1 molds to be retooled to have elbows and knees. I know that's just me.

For once that he got some new mainline toys! He's been ignored by Hasbro for months.
Glad thats over.

I for one think TR Blaster (Takara's of course) is a near perfect rep of the G1 figure. He towers over Soundwave just like his G1 counterpart and is my Neo-G1 figure. The only flaw was having a better looking weapon at least similar to the Legacy release. :VEHI:

I think the legs are too thick, resulting in the speakers also being really thick.

I thought of that. The kingdom Blaster is incapable of replicating Seige Soundwave's space barrage alternate form, but who asked him to? Maybe a customizer has done it by now.

Yep. Looking at some of the early pictures of the Legacy Wave 3 toys from Amazon.UK . Officially will be shown tomorrow morning during the Pulse TF fan event. Crankase appears just to be a retool of Skids...or am I incorrect?

Yeah, he's a retool, but I feel he has a lot of new parts.

This Tuesday morning, Hasbro will have a Pulse Fanstream event where they will reveal all of Legacy wave 3 and Studio Series 2022 wave 4. For the Legacy part, we have all those reveals early thanks to some Amazon UK pages that are now taken down.

In these images we see alt modes and accessories for Dead End, Point Blank, TM2 Dragon Megatron, Crankcase, Skullgrin and Inferno.

Let us know if these better photos help you form an opinion on which figures you look forward to owning.

Not at big box retailers, anyway. I've seen the entire deluxe wave and I have Wildrider and Tarantulas.

Yeah, wave 2 has been appearing at specialty shops for a little while now and it is readily available in certain regions of Europe and Asia.

So, either Hasbro managed to get the name "Pointblank" back after all, or that packaging is not final.

Dragon Megs: Looks good, isn't for me though. Beast Wars just doesn't really interest me except for a few exceptions like Waspinator and Rattrap.

Pointblank: Cool that they actually got the proper western name, though unimportant, and I'm still disappointed they're using the Rebirth/Marvel head instead of the one he usually has, and I'm still worried about the seeming lack of a bicep swivel. I really hope this upcoming stream will clear that up.

Skullgrin: He looks good for the most part, I just hope that there are tracks somewhere underneath that front part of the alt-mode and that either there's a regular head underneath the skull or someone makes one for him. Hell, maybe even give him a head based on TLK Megatron? I hated that design but I think the head could work for Skullgrin with it's big mandible/mask pieces.

Crankcase: I was hoping the hood of the alt-mode would have made his big shoulder cannons and the reason we didn't see it in that earlier photo of him was just that it was a detachable accesory, like the designers or executives were worried that non-fans would find it ugly, so they designed it so it could be detached and become a pair of giant hand held guns instead. Idk, sounds like something Hasbro would do, but apparantly they just completely ditched it unfortunately. Hopefully a third party company will fix that.

Deadend: Feet are ugly but they're not that big of a deal in my opinion, though it's unfortunate that the leg wheels end up on the outside of the shins instead of the inside. Makes me hope that maybe I can just swap the legs at the mushroom peg for the thigh swivel and I'll still be able to get the transformation to work, even if that does mean I'll lose the ankle tilt.

Inferno: Honestly looks to be a pretty disappointing release given that he lacks the fourth flap on his jetpack assembly thing. Doesn't matter too much to me though cause again I don't really care about Beast Wars.

I double checked to make sure...But it's interesting that Tarantulas and Inferno have the BW Predacon faction symbol on their packaging...But Leader TM2 Megatron has the Prime Predacon logo... :-?

As stylized as they are making Prime characters...it would be kind of crazy of we got a Prime Predaking heavy retool from TM2 Megatron in addition to the obvious/ easy Cryotek repaint.

Especially since Prime Predaking's transformation is nothing like TM2 Megatron's.
