Though, it is not confirmed that any Legends toy can turn into a weapon. That's only confirmed for Powerglide. We know that Thundercracker and Windcharger won't since they're redecos or remolds of existing figures, but nothing's yet known about Bombshell or any other Legends to come.

To be fair, though, those will be the ONLY limbs available when Prime is released. I doubt there is anything special about that four, it's just that there will be no other choices in the first wave of figures. My guess is that Optimus is meant to combine with any four figures you want (apparently, regardless of allegiance). In fact, it says so right in his on-package bio!

Wow Jake! You really do have the eyes of the wolf. I got a migraine reading that.
I love this idea that combination is an upgrade, 'cause I had it too when I was 12.
Did somebody say something about a voyager Megatron? That would be sweet!
How about a Soundwave that combines with the cassettes? Ehh? Ehh?

But seriously,
Did you guys hear the rumor about a DINOBOT COMBINER TEAM?!?!?!

The only Megatron toys known to be coming in this line are the two Leader class ones, which aren't combiners.

The only known rumors for this line that we've currently heard about are:

1. A Leader class Ultra Magnus

2. A Titan class Devastator made up of six Voyagers

3. Protectobots and more: Legends Groove, Legends Warpath, Legends "DPT Viper" (whatever that is), Deluxe First Aid, Deluxe "Street" (maybe Streetsmart), Deluxe "BLD" (maybe Blades), and Deluxe Protectobot Rook.

On Megatron - I just meant that, that is a neat idea. It would be cool to have a few non-team specific voyagers with combo abilities.

The dinobot thing is a real rumor.

I hope the Dino bot combiner is fake, the pcc one was okay but I just can't see, not part of Combiner Wars at least.

Time to dig this gem back out from SDCC (thanks, Google!), probably a lot of people haven't seen it or forgotten it. Apparently he'll combine with Alpha Bravo, Fire(flight), Skydive, and what can only be a very lightly colored Blast Off. Note that Blast Off and Alpha Bravo aren't the same as arms.

Emerje

That looks more like dragstrip, mustard yellow, purple stripes, purple fist (the Stunticons have purple fists and feet whilst the aerialbots have black) only thing off is the wheels or rather lack there off.

No need to ponder about this, it's in back of his box. He combines with 3 aerialbots and dragstrip, end of discussion.

Except Prime's arm is clearly not a car, you can see a tail fin sticking off the back and it has no wheels. The shape isn't even a little right for Dragstrip, it's more in line with the square-ish body of G1 Blast Off. The side panels look like folded down wings to me (you can see flaps on the back) as well and they're on the back portion just like they would be on a shuttle. The gun on the back of the arm and the hand part also aren't the ones that comes with Dragstrip, notice that Alpha Bravo's hand is faithfully reproduced from the figure. As far as color goes I think it's entirely possible that they changed them to Dragstrip's when they realized it was much too early to reveal a third team and Dragstrip just happened to be the fourth figure of the first wave. When the other three limbs are so accurate to the figures how could the mess up Dragstrip so badly? Answer: It's not Dragstrip.

Is this going to be the European packaging? The multilingual blurbs would suggest yes, as do the included cards with the Legends game artwork. If it is for the U.S., I'm not a fan of the truncated bios.

I knew it! I thought that was blast-off since it was announced back at comic-con. It just looks too much like a shuttle, and too little like any of the other aerialbots.

In extension of this, the hands look like they share the same blue colour palette as the torso, rather than being purple ala dragstrip.

Bruticus confirmed for Wave 4

The on package information points to these being boxes that will be distributed in brazil and australia

Huffer's artwork is based on the previous Reveal the Shield Legends Optimus Prime toy instead of the Generations Legends Optimus that the actual Huffer toy is a remold of. Oops.

It's still not confirmed, after all how do we know that Bruticus may have been intended but then dropped, hence the re colouration into drag strip. After all that prime combines with the rest of the first wave so where is blast off unless he got kicked for menasor.

Another simple reason could be that the artist made a boo boo, and drew the wrong bot

Plus I'd rather predaking or piranhacon

Guys, you do know that the Optimus drawing is a fantasy situation right? And not supposed to be taken as a toy accurate interpretation of Combiner Wars? The fact that the colour scheme mimics perfectly the suggested Optimus Combination for Ultra Prime (in back of his box) makes it clear that it's this they are doing and not an indication that Bruticus is coming.

In any case, we already had a generations Bruticus.

Huffer is kind of boring. It doesn't really look like Huffer; it just looks like an orange Optimus. But Blackjack looks awesome! (I'm a sucker for any black and purple TF.)

Huffer suffers a bit in the head-size department, but I'll wait on how he looks in-hand. Poor Optimus though, his body is being used left and right for other characters:

- Ultra Magnus
- Nemesis Prime
- Motormaster
- Huffer

At least the last two are retools.

Blackjack is a must-get, I love Micromaster homages.

Isn't the artwork from the Legends game? Would that not explain the 'mix-up'?

I don't think they are done yet. With Huffer out, I bet Pipes is in the works as well.

Blackjack is awesome.

I realized something about this line that may be a smart move on Hasbro. Of course, they are claiming to older fans with this amazing G1 combiner homage. But also, by making it combiners, the incentive to buy these toys at full retail is increased. Waiting for toys to be discounted is something many older fans do (myself included). Add to that the fact that not all of us buy everything from a given line. I usually buy 2 out of the 4 of every generations wave due to a want to limit mold duplication in my collection. But now, with the fact that these are all pieces of a bigger puzzle (the legends class included), I would be buying the entire wave and probably at full retail price since I fear that waiting for a discount is a risk of not getting the whole set. A pretty smart move on Hasbro's behalf. So not only will I be giving Hasbro more money than ever next year with this line, but I will also be really happy of not having to pay a bigger sum for the Third Party combiners, and of actually owning some awesome Transformer Combiners. This Combiner Wars event is a real win win for Hasbro and fans, hats off to them.

It's a shame the partners are no longer included with the Legends. They weren't great but it was still an extra toy and character (Reflector finally returns).

They could've redecoed the existing ones to get a little more mileage out of them. I wouldn't have minded.

Thundercracker with BW Buzzsaw (Waspinator redeco)
Huffer with Moonrock (Roller redeco)
Bombshell with Needler (Chop Shop redeco)
Powerglide with Phaser (Payload redeco)
Windcharger with Groundpounder (Groundbuster redeco)
Blackjack with Treadshot (Reflector redeco)

You know what I like to do? Get you a Target Redcard. Buy them at normal price. Since Target allows returns up to 90 days, if you EVER see them on sale, then just use your normal debit card to pay for them on sale, and then return them on your Redcard for the full refund.

I have saved a LOT at retail. Especially with those situations where you buy two or three at full price one week, and then the next week they are on sale.

Last year, I had bought GEN Thundercracker and Hoist at full price for 12.99 back in OCT. In DEC, Amazon was selling them both for an astounding $4 each. I bought both and returned them to Target for a refund of my $13, effectively making my price $4.

I agree. And I surely hope they are not keeping the price @$10, since we are getting screwed out of a figure.

As cool as it was to get an extra figure, more often than not I didn't like the pairings they came up with. Cosmos and Payload was the only time I wanted both.

And ~$10 2-Packs have always done horribly at my stores. PCCs, HA Basics, Data Discs, Legends... 1st wave clogs the shelves and never EVER leaves.
But then these things are staying at $10, soooo....
