I was scouring on eBay to see what MP-10SG is going for. So I'm sorry if this is an overkill question but what is the current count of this favored MP-10 mold? :???: Thanks in advance party people. :VEHI:

Now, I assume you mean the Shattered Glass version of MP-10. BBTS is selling that for $99.99 brand new, so anything above that is overpriced IMO

Here'sa link to the BBTS page for reference

What's the best online site to make a purchase? (Shipping internationally), and better, What's the best site to pre-order the beautiful BlackWidow MP-46 when the time arrives?

Thank you so much for your help.

I would have to say that Amazon Japan is your best bet. Great prices, fast shipping, and the shipping is really cheap too. That would be where I would go.

And welcome!

It's definitely odd that a fully painted prototype has been shown before other things and yet he keeps getting pushed back. Maybe there's a production issue.

Or maybe TakaraTomy wanted to release the more hyped characters first. You'll note he didn't have a number when displayed at Wonder Festival Summer 2018:

...and AFAIK he still doesn't. Possibly, he'll be released after Black Widow.

On the side, not the first time Hound got the shaft: his Kreon can tell you stories about that ;)

It seems ridiculous to look at his image from 2018, wherein Hound looks as complete as Sunstreaker and Sideswipe behind him. To the left, Overpriced Prime was still at grey prototype stage and Blackarachnia wasn't even that far along. Poor Hound (and Hound fans, by extension)...

Yeah, Hound has been done a disservice lately. Not sure why he keeps getting pushed back like this. He was in colors long before Bee and Blackarachnia were revealed, he should be before at least BA

So with all the talk about Blackarachnia, I wanna talk about Beast Wars Fembots and Mold adaptation.

Airazor
Thanks to the Japanese ..interpretation, We have a dual gender character :HEADHURTS:
Now, BA's aesthetic was clearly feminine by design. Airazor was not.

Image

Image

Other than her show model face, her Bot Mode is completely androgynous. I doubt they would do more than address this with an extra removable face, when it comes to potentially differentiating between Western and Japanese releases?

Image

As an aside, now we've seen BA's size, we know comparisons like this aren't realistically going to exist.
Image
Image

So officially, there will be two Fembots in the MP Beast Wars line. Visually, one.

But... then there is the nebulous area of redecos and retools.

Image

With Inferno, there is a unique redeco in the form of Antagony. However, should Takara create MP Antagony, there is a choice to make, as she never appeared in a show.

Image

Straight up redeco, akin to MP Shadow Panther, or a distinctly feminine retool, based on her artwork instead?

Image

Image

With the rise in popularity of Fembot releases in recent years, it is hard to tell how far HasTak will go, however when it comes to such retools within the MP line.

Maybe that's why they delayed him?

I would love to see some chrome on him if I'm honest, cuz that would definitely help his appearance.

I dont know if I find him "ugly" though, just in need of some improvements.

Uh, ugly how? He looks like he stepped right out of an animation cell from the original Sunbow cartoon. That's Takara's jam with Masterpiece right now. Hound looks perfect with almost no kibble showing that shouldn't be there. The colors and details are spot on for screen accuracy. If you want him in original toy colors with chrome and extra paint details, then you're out of luck, at least for now. Maybe they'll do a "+" version with a toy accurate deco in a few years, if they finally get around to releasing the standard version of this figure, that is.

Yeah, I agree, he looks as he should, and I love that. I just thought some chrome on him would be nice, but I would rather have this release instead than not have anything at all ;)

Let's be honest, aesthetically he looks as boxy and outdated as the rest of the pre-Movie Transformers, that Takara is stagnating this line with. It is the 35th Anniversary this year, maybe we can move away from slavish devotion to the first three and focus on the other 32?

I'm sure there are a far greater number of fans now, that didn't jump onto the series with G1. So maybe it is time for some MP Car Robots, MP Unicron Trilogy or MP Animated, for example, to cater to them instead??

No disposable income at that age yet ;)

Kidding kidding. :) The poll that yielded Star Saber did show the fans are not giving Car Robots and beyond the cold shoulder, Micron Legend actually end up in 2nd place!

True. Yet, then again, it is the 20th anniversary of Car Robots next year. Early to mid 20 somethings should have the cash to burn.

*high five* (Do people still do that?)

In all seriousness, though, the early to mid 20-somethings, the "Millennial" generation, aren't doing as well in terms of wage and salary earnings as their parents' generation, so that is a lot less disposable income for frivolous indulgences for people who's first exposure to Transformers may have been The Unicron Trilogy.

I think it wouldn't hurt for them to test the water though. A single release, MP Hot Shot or MP Demolishor? People were receptive to MP Beast Wars releases, so it stands to reason should they get a better than expected reception to MP Car Robots/Unicron Trilogy/Animated, to put G1 and all its licensing issues, to one side and push forward with representation from the rest of the series rich history.

It would sure hurt my ears from all the G1 Whining that takara has pushed back what could be a new release for a G1 character. I hear it enough everytime a Beast Wars MP is revealed.

But aside from that, sure.

True enough. But they just seem to be going around in circles with the G1 line now? It must be so frustrating to those invested in those releases.

We'll be seeing that again when they reveal the next MP Seeker mold.

 Seekers... Again!? #-o

Maybe a massive overhaul of the entire MP line release structure is exactly what is needed. By limiting G1 releases to one in four, it will force them to actually put effort back into the line and add to it, instead of repeating existing figures?

G1 -> BW -> UT -> Movie.

Rinse and repeat, swapping out 'Movie' for one offs and/or poll results such as Star Saber.
