I really like the Takara Bruticus, but I am partial to slavishly correct Sunbow G1 colour schemes. Every figure looks better the way Takara has done them and Blast Off is real sweet looking. Had Bruticus on pre-order up until a couple days ago when I realized I cannot afford a whole combiner this month on with the new figuarts SSJ Trunks plus Titan Returns stuff :-(

I'm expecting two Unite Warriors Bruticus sets at the end of this month, so I'm all in for light brown shuttle Blast-Off. Looks like he still retains some darker brown parts too. The superior face sculpt and G1 accurate alt mode trump Hasbro's dark brown Slingshot repaint for me.

So Skyreign will be the priciest one yet eh? That's disappointing.

Budgetary constraints have made me put a number of these on the back burner (Convoy, Galvy, and likely SkyR). Unless SkyR is drastically different than Hasby's, I think I'll be getting Grandvatronbiner first. [-(

I would consider the inclusion of Ratchet over Smokescreen as pretty drastically different, though we won't really know for certain for a few more days.

What would be perfect is if his limbs were: Hoist, Bluestreak, Ratchet, and Sideswipe. 8-}

Yeah, the limbs seen in the silhouette are the Offroad mold, the Swindle mold, the First Aid mold, and the Wheeljack mold, which pegs them as being Trailbreaker (or Hoist), Hound, Ratchet, and Wheeljack, respectively.

*fairly* certain they will keep them as Trailbraker, Hound, Wheeljack. They seem to be keeping with the 1984 TF's, with the exception of Sky Lynx obviously. I don't think they would throw a random Hoist in for no reason. As soon as this is announced, Hopefully I can just grab a CW Smokescreen, and just await this release.

I think they'll keep Trailbreaker purely because he's tooling Japan doesn't have yet. It keeps in with the only one we know is dumped (smokescreen) being the only one with absolutely no new tooling.

Does anyone know if Takara did another release of UW-01 Superion? I just noticed a couple of online retailers get them back in stock, albeit at a slightly higher price. I've seen sites like BBTS occasionally get a small restocking, but this is more than 24 (their max order limit for one item). It doesn't matter really as I already have Superion, but I was waiting/hoping that some of the others would go on clearance, Devastator in particular as it appears they still have many of them in stock.

There are no re-releases as far as I know, however Hasbro Australia did release a slightly different version of the UW Superion set. No changes to the toys themselves, but parts of the box have been translated into English.

Hrm...now you have me curious. I'd love to see a side-by-side comparison of the original release vs the Hasbro Aus. one to see the differences in the packaging.

In a nutshell it uses the same style, but US names (like Quickslinger instead of either Sling or Slingshot). Here's the page that first announced it:

UW Superion to be released in Australia on Talk Transformers.

Unite Warriors EX Sky Reign Revealed at Tokyo Toy Show, UW Ratchet confirmed

Fellow Seibertronians, the Tokyo Toy Show is kicking off, and is wasting no time with their reveals. Courtesy of Twitter user gadepon, along side MP Thrust and Inferno, we get a reveal of Unite Warriors EX Sky Reign. Along with this reveal, we get confirmation of the suspected use of Combiner Wars Ratchet as a component of Sky Reign in lieu of Smokescreen.

It should be noted that the figure seen below seems to be using Hasbro toys for a few figures, Sky Lynx among them; but it gives us a look at what is planned for this figures. The image has been mirrored below, along side a link to our very own Sky Reign gallery. So, is this enough to reserve this figure? Are you even more excited? Let us know in the comments below.

Yes out of all things that are important Hubcaps should be Hasbro's priority /s.

Considering how wheels are used as decoration in bot mode, and their prominence in vehicle mode, you'd be amazed at how much it makes a figure pop >:oP

They did, hence why Hasbro Trailbreaker has painted hubcaps, and thats probably the same toy we see in the pic.

Nope, it's because it shares paint apps with it's mold-mates, one reason why both ironhide and offroad have them, and first aid doesn't. Rook didn't have them, and neither swindle nor hound have them (hound arguably has no paint apps) The only ones to go against this are breakdown into wheeljack, and streetwise into Prowl :-?

Either way, painted hubcaps really need to be a standard, the last two waves of cw had some appalling lack of paint apps, and rid is little better

Fellow Seibertronians, hot on the heels of his reveal, and courtesy of fellow fan Taylor Ivie, we now know that TakaraTomy Mall have put up official images of the newly rechristened Unite Warriors EX Lynx Master. It shows the team off in their combined form as well as in their individual modes, and seems to indicate that Ratchet will include Rooks weapon accessory as well as Trailbreaker having a painted hand/foot/gun accessory. The site further states that it will retail for 16,200 Yen. The images can be seen below, and, as always, leave your thoughts and comments below.

Name change Alert! Name Change Alert!

He's no longer called "Sky Reign". The combined form of Captain Modesty is now called Lynx Master (リンクスマスター rinkusumasuta).

The only deluxes with unpainted hubcaps are the military and civil service vehicles...but hey, who am I to judge if you want shiny things on your combat units? ;)
