You say that as if it's a bad thing

Does Ratchet have the body of a Harley Qui....okay, this got weird fast... :-s

Well, he was originally supposed to be female...

Really? Huh, talk about a missed opportunity :(

Ratchet owes his name to a pun on the character "Nurse Ratched," from the novel and later movie "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." It's no coincidence that Transformers G1 Ratchet was originally conceived of as a female, as the Nurse Ratched character is also a woman.

Believe it or not, the most popular of the five versions one could choose to make in the custom classes this year was SG Ratchet. More SG Ratchets were made in the classes than any of the other four options.

Still looks really nice, though the weapon is utterly bizarre.

I don't want summer to fly by, but UW Comp is really something to look forward to in August!

The more I've seen and thought about it, the more Blast Off's colors don't bother me...
The new mold is enough for me, and overall that's a beautiful looking set.
Thankfully I'll have both a completed Hasbro version and (finally) UW Superion within the next week when my TFSource order shows up, so waiting til August to get UW Brut won't be too bad.

Although I won't be getting it, UW Sky Reign's limb figures look really really impressive.
If I could get a hold of just that Trailbreaker, I would in a heartbeat.
That Wheeljack looks incredible! And Ratchet too.
:APPLAUSE:

Can anyone here tell me as estimate of shipping for UW Superion from TFSource to Australia? Also, do they ship internationally. I already emailed them and they could not give me a straight answer.
Even just an esstimate, I mean $20, $50? What kind of ballpark are we talking about here.

Best avert your eyes from the evil now.... more combiners with big weapons made up of lots of little weapons.

You say "weird" and I translate that into BAD-ADD TOYS WITH KILLER WEAPONS! :michaelbay:

Image

Is it wrong that I would like a combiner / gestalt where every limb is a headmaster, and all the heads combine into some kind of crazy OS weapon of mass destruction?

I think it looks odd too. The lack of a uniform colour scheme makes it look more disjointed and less badass. I much preffer the way it was executed with AOE Hound and Jetfire:

As am I. I dont dislike it either, but I get how it could be seen as odd and I think it is too. What I find really awesome is how Scattershot now has different weapons than the Hasbro version AND they integrate into the alt mode as boosters in the back. Now that is feaken awesome. I truly believe what when all is said and done, this will be the best combiner out there since it has the best torso mold and a diverse yet uniform set of limbs.

I don't know what you think about import sites but AmiAmi still has him available for preorder cheaper than buying from an American site like TFsource. The shipping would also probably be cheaper. That's where I'm putting my preorder and they are a good site so there's not much to worry about. And yes I'm pretty sure TFsource ships internationally but you can't qualify for free shipping. $20 to $50 sounds about right for something of that size. Hope that helps. :D

But computron is a weird mish-mash of colors. His weapon mimics his body! As far as having theme, I'd say it's the best weapon in the entire CW/UW line for matching him.
Superion is mostly red/white yet has a big black gun/rifle. Defensor is blue/white/red yet has a big black gun etc etc.
I wish they had done more combining weapons across the line instead of the generic torso weapon chucked in with most of them.

They're just showing you that the weapons are modular, it's not like you 'have' to combine them like that... I mean, you could probably slap Nosecone's nosecone onto one of the barrels if you wanted...

I have not looked on that site in a long time. Like before the CW line of toys existed long.
I'll take a look thanks.

EDIT: Orders are "closed" does that mean he it out of stock? This is like HLJ.com all over again.

Yes it does mean out of stock. I think the person responding before was referring to Computron sicne that is what we were all talking about.

Your best bet is to check this site out once in a while since they get older stuff that they sell at fair market price for non exclusives: http://jungle-scs.co.jp/sale_en/?page_i ... e+warriors. Its not avantageous to americans since the shipping is expensive and they are better off getting them locally. But for international buyers, this is like other japanese sites. Check it over once a week, Superion used to appear there pretty often. TFSource will cost you over 74$ USD to ship to australia.

Also, check nippon yassan (another japanese site) if they still have superion.

Takara head designer Yuki is very proud of the upcoming Unite Warriors Computron. He just got a finished sample from the factory and posted it on Twitter. It may not have been obvious before, but with this final product image we can see that all the Technobots have different shades of colour to distinguish the limbs. Afterburner, for instance, has a bit more orange in him, which differs in tone from the chest and Lightspeed.

We also have even more images from the Tokyo Toy Show, courtesy of the Autobase Aichi Facebook page. Enjoy!

Is it just me...or does it look almost like Computron is smiling? It is just an odd observation. Even if it were true, I would not let such a little thing ruin my opinion of such a well engineered toy. But its just odd...I'd never thought I'd see a combiner smile, but least of all, Computron.
