I'm 999999999999% sure that you'll have no shortage of offers from people who will get that Reformatted Galvatron who dont care about the mini ships nor the microfigs and are willing to sell them to you.

I'd suggest buying the set and selling the Galvatron. Mainly due to the timing. As he said, it's probably gonna sell out and be rare.

This works too.
Whichever comes first between getting the whole set yourself then selling the Galvatron, or having an offer for the ships.

Thanks for the advice.

I'll keep my eye out. I agree, ebay can be a wonderful resource for rare items.

If you're willing to pay the price. Plus shipping.

Agreed,

So here's 2 examples of how ebay was worth it to me (and appropriate for this topic):

1. Rare Space ship: TIE Scimitar from the "Dark Force Rising" from the Galoob Micro Machine Star Wars set
2. Rare Transformer: X-9 Jaguar "Ravage".

X-9 is probably both an appropriate yet odd choice to mention given the upcoming new Ravage. And I have to say I still like my X-9 a lot and maybe even more then the new one. I have the original G1 '84 Ravage too. It's like, having the new Earthrise Sunstreaker is great, but I'm happy I have the original G1 and the Masterpiece.

That said you're correct, and that it is wise to find multiple retailers, re-sellers, and friends. Back in the day a friend that make his living on selling old toys went against his business sense and sold me the parts I need to complete my G1 Bluestreak. Ebay can get expensive and they haven't been able to break Amazon's business model despite their advantage of being around longer.

It's probably easier to justify with smaller items than larger ones (which the ships and microfigures thankfully are). I was able to find Prime Master variants that came with the Amazon Exclusives, as well as the Battlemasters that came with Siege Amazon Exclusives on eBay for a reasonable price. I was also able to trade or deal for most of the Netflix BM's I needed with fans on this site. so yeah, both resources are great.

I'll add that if something interest you but it's just a wee bit expensive for you, just put it on your watchlist. Odds to get an automated offer are high.

It's my thing, above TF collecting.  When I see something like this that's going to become rare and sell out installantly I'm excited, but also a bit concerned and a little annoyed.  While I know that some people, most people here are going to display the ships with their Unicron, I'll be putting them with my dedicated starship cabinet.

I'd really like to get this, and if anyone has any advice or a line on where I could acquire specifically the ships (with or without the galvatron) I would like to hear about it, and it would be very appreciated.  You'd be making a fast friend.

My ship collection has a whole deciated subsection ships dedicated to the allies of Earth: Star Trek's Federation, Human Ships of Halo, Terran Ships of Starcraft (a bit of a stretch for 'allies'), Macross, Space Above and Beyond, Battlestar Galactica, and Autobots to name a few.  I even have a dedicated cabinet for Star Wars.

Examples for weird or rare things I have:

CC9800 Frigate from the Star Wars Rebellion video game, Saratoga from Space Above and Beyond, Enterprise-E Micro Machine from Star Trek, Protector from Galaxy Quest, Axalon from Beast Wars 10th anniversary Optimus Primal.

So I'm excited for this, but I'm also annoyed  at the way Hasbro has been handling these special items.

So if there's anyone out there that has any ideas, advice or even wants to trade things up I would be up for going into a business agreement.  Also, I have little desire for another Galvatron as the Kingdom one is good enough for my collection, but I would like the ships.  So I'd be cool with sharing the cost of this Galvatron multi-pack with someone just to get the ships.

Please feel free send me a message.

Thanks for Reading

Have you considered looking for any equivalent 3D prints of TF spaceships, etc?

That's a great idea and I've done that in the past on a few various ships.

I've found that if I can get a resin model it's superior to a 3d print. That being said, there's a few items in my shapeways cart I've been sitting on for a while.

So here's an example:
I found someone that makes (or made) Star Wars ships in several different scales. I ended up purchasing the Star Wars Imperial Gunboat (aka "star" fighter) and the Missileboat form the x-wing/tie fighter simulator game series and they are amazing and a perfect fit with my galoob micro machines. At the time I also found some shapeways 3d print E-wings. I ended up getting the E-wings, and I'm while glad I have them, but the plastic quality is weak enough sust such that I'm afraid that I'm going to break them. So if I can find a resin I will take that any day over 3d print. It's a plastic density thing and the good stuff is very expensive.

I could have purchased the e-wing from the more recent X-wing board game, but I haven't wanted to throw extra resources at it. Although I am glad that the game was successful. I purchased the K-wing and Moldy Crown off that game.

Something else needs watched for 3d print, the scale: I made a scale mistake and I once ordered a Delta Flyer from Star Trek voyager and I accidentally ordered the small version. I looks nice next to my larger Voyager ship, but it's so tiny it disappears next to the rest of the star ships. By contrast to that, I have a relatively large Arwing, it was the only size I could find at the time so I just went with it. Both of which stick out in different ways.

Sometimes I get really lucky though. Like I have these Hapes Battle Dragons that look amazing and they are such a vaguely referenced star ship that an official offering is a pipe dream so I'm glad I have them despite the 3d print quality. The size is just perfect and I can live with the plastic quality: I'm just super careful with them.

Anyway, I'll try for this Galvatron later this week. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just wanted to piggyback this thread along with all the upcoming Legacy reveals. Obviously the number of Selects this year (2021) was way down from the previous two years. I hope the line continues however as it has provided many creative variants. Black Zarak is (I believe) the last Selects currently scheduled for release in January (will likely be delayed but...).

I hope the line continues into 2022, but I guess we will see.

I've seen multiple people saying that they don't want the extras for Galvatron.

If anyone wants me to take the extras off their hands send me a pm and we can work something out.

Am I the only one who thinks that head(master) is way too big for the body proportion?

Also, Am I the only one thinking of TRA headmaster?

No, I think it looks little too big, myself.

The first pic doesn't help, but yeah the ratio definitely looks a little off. Scorpy was fine in that regard wasn't he?

It's not perfect, but it's not that egregious either. I think we just had an entire line of TR/Legends where the heads were just a fraction too small we got used to a different proportion

The head is a bit large yes.

My issue though are those full pouty lips. I know its anime accurate, but it's still a bit disturbing on a robot anyway.

Legacy Lift-Ticket is being revealed on stream right now!

EDIT:..that was quick enough that the stream link won't help, have this instead:

Preorders go up after the stream.

Plus, a look at Black Zarak's box, as he is officially a Legacy Selects:

Some may find Zarak's head "too large", but I think it's because we're way too used to pea heads on Transformers.

Plus, it's G1 accurate so I'm pretty glad.

Lift-Ticket is now officially up for preorder for Premium members!

https://hasbropulse.com/collections/1027-collection

EDIT:...surely they must be saving some of the stock for when the listing goes live for non-Premium, there is no way Lift-Ticket of all figures sold out this quickly otherwise.

Nope, I've seen several items sell out during the premium only time, that never go to the general public.

But not to worry, usually plenty of 3rd party retailers will have pre-orders up fairly soon I'd imagine
