1. The two boxsets that we got were Speed and Strength. Given that these were two of the four stats for Titans Return, it was reasonable to assume that two more sets were coming, and they would be themed after Intelligence and Fireblast.
2. Since Fastlane and Pounce came in two boxsets, people believed that the other two clones would come in two more boxsets.
3. The art on Grotusque's and Arcee's collector cards was in a different style than every other collector card in the line, with action poses instead of the floating head pose, and with other bots' limbs visible in the background (at least with Arcee).
4. Magnus's and Scorponok's Titan Master powers of Ultimate Intelligence and Ultimate Fireblast, respectively, line up well with Rodimus's and Thunderwing's Ultimate Speed Boost and Ultimate Strength boost.
Because of this, people speculate that the last two boxsets were cancelled because of the poor sales of the CW ones, and Cloudraker, Wingspan, Arcee, Magnus, Grotusque, and Scorponok were leftovers that were made into exclusives.
