Yes! I saw a video Chris McFeely did on that a while back, that was pretty fascinating.

Only gripe for Pipes was I wish he had red eyes. Other than that, solid!

Definitely getting Bluestreak for the wrong reasons (Shattered Glass stand-in)

Pretty sure they were Hasbro-original tooling, like the Conehead wing molds. The general design team was the same I reckon, just shifted lines.

Yup, hence the big M on the front the of the vehicles. It was pretty cool to have Jim Shooter himself talk all about it to me when we were in a bar together once.

I'm pretty sure he had Blue eyes the cartoon. small blue eyes rather than a full visor.

Red eyes in both episodes he appeared in. Which is understandable, makes them stand out more against his... well, blue.

I don't blame em. If you had one place online that kept record of everything your company did for a brand for free, best use it.

ok, so I just popped in my DVD with FFODpart5 and you are BOTH right. When Pipes leads the Autoboots early on at Autobot HQ against Trypticon, he DOES have Blue eyes. Later when he is installing Metroplex's new Cog he has Red eyes...I'm checking Forever is a long time coming in a minute....

So, how about the no eyes variant...

Lastly, just for grins, I checked the old Rhino DVD's also, because we know how they liked to "fix" things with that version, but nothing was different.... The inconsistencies in eye color were consistent across both releases. Pipes brief appearance in "Forever" had him with Red eyes throughout both his scenes.

How inconsistent the entire show was.

I was really hoping we'd get to Friday with no more leaks, but clearly Chefatron wants his fifteen seconds in the spotlight.

To those mentioning that Pipes has wrist fillers: no he doesn't.
Also his name is Silverstreak, not Bluestreak. They're doing an irony thing by using the backup trademark.

I was just about to say that, isn't fxfranz just chefatron with a different username? Don't really like the guy's stuff, very big baby tantrum / angry reviewer energy in it.

True, but AKOM noticeably in the 3rd season had the most egregious errors due to the very short turn time and pressure they were under to animate the episodes. Besides, it's not like the comics didn't have plenty of inconsistencies either.

It's pretty funny to see a note in a TFWiki article that basically says "yeah this figure's color scheme is slightly inaccurate because Hasbro used the image at the top of this article as a reference." The Quintesson Baliff is one example

All that white on Bluestreak doesn't sit well with me, otherwise I'd be all over this. At least alt mode will look good.

Isn't white the proper color for those parts on the actual Diaclone Blue Datsun though?

Seriously? Ugh, I was looking at my Masterpiece Blue Bluestreak, who has silver instead of white. May as well just toss that in the trash now for this more accurate one...

I expect the inevitable delay notification any time now...

Yes and no? Yes for my Rodimus, he is on the was I got the shipping notice and is out for delivery.

For the Ark, I pre-ordered immediately when they first opened pre-orders and still haven't even received a shipping notice yet despite a few others being able to pre-order just last week and having at least received a shipping notice.

Specially when they clearly didn't even remember what the guy actually looked like in the first place.
