If it's not real, it's a pretty damn good custom job. But I think it's legit.

But why that mold?

THIS is exactly what Legacy should be. As it goes on, I hope to see more obscure-ish characters like this. Hoping we get some BWii/Neo rep, maybe a Leader Class Energon Optimus Prime :-D

Many have said it but I would do anything for a CHUG Rescue Bot. Would love a WFC retool of Mirage into a Morbot.

It's weird that the medic figure has more guns than the figure it's made from that's literally called a Triggercon. I wonder if those guns are actually his? It would make more sense for him to come with the same blue axe as Skids and Burn Out like the original figure than orange versions of Elita 1's guns. I suppose their gang molded with Minerva's lightbar, but they could have just as easily used the ER Prowl lightbar that we've seen used on its own several times. I mean, I'll take extra weapons as long as it doesn't effect the price.

Because it's the closest thing to the CW figure from BotCon.

Just so long as the Prime Force drones are sold separately. Otherwise getting all of that in a leader class for Energon Optimus would be more than a little disappointing. It would be better selling them separately than it would be to sell the whole thing as a commander too so as to not waste the spot on something that could easily be sold separately. Not that everyone would enjoy that either.

I really hope Big Convoy,Stampy, Magmatron and Galvatron are being considered. Just a few of the ones I want most from BW II and Neo.

For Morbot though, I use Netflix Decepticon Mirage for that. It's far from perfect but I didn't really know what else to do with Decepticon Mirage and the colors reminded me of MOrbot a bit. A while back I repainted a PotP Jazz as Quickshadow based on her "Rescan" toy. I never even watched Rescue Bots either and I want Generations versions of them.

You make a good point about the Drones being sold separately. Could be a Deluxe class with 4 Core Limbs, sort of like the original plans for the upcoming Volcanicus.

Hell yeah. That design was so cool; was always disappointed it never got used or even inspired a new mold.

What?

I'm sorry, WHAT?

I REALLY hope this is real. I passed on the crankcase remold, it's not a super great color scheme, but bits so obscure and if it does well, maybe it will signal for more RB characters.

...when they said that anything was on the table for Legacy I guess they weren't kidding. It's not quite the Crankcase retool I was hoping for (that would be Ironfist), but it looks good to me. Maybe Heatwave from Bulkhead next somehow please?

I saw this on TFW yesterday, so many off the wall comments, and it felt like mine were just completely ignored...Oh well, anyway... It was interesting to see that some fans liked the idea, many others were like "Why RB in Generations? I never watched that preschool show..."

Oddly enough, while there were Medix toys in the RB toyline, the character himself never appeared on the show. I did watch all of RB because it was age appropriate for my kids at the time. I never watched RB Academy (outside of a couple of clips on Youtube). It appears a Medix character actually appeared on RBA (the nephew of Ratchet), but if its supposed to be the same character, who knows. The Legacy pics bear a striking resemblance to the Botcon 2016 customization class figure more than anything else:

Image

I'm so glad I own this, as all of the variations of this Ratchet Custom build class toy; Medix is arguably the hardest to create/obtain especially pushing on 6+ years since the convention. At any rate, if Legacy is supposed to represent all TF Fiction, why not Rescue Bots as well?

ZeroWolf wrote:Interesting, a possible exclusive for the likes of Velocitron?

Possibly, or Selects, or Buzzworthy. Being a Medic, lots of fans, including myself, assumed it might be the Walgreens exclusive for 2023. I really hope not though. Usually those aren't revealed until a few months into the new year, and I'm really hoping 2022 Minerva is the last year of Walgreens exclusives seeing as they make it a real pain to obtain, and show little concern for exclusives since their toy rep left.

Rescue Bots was age-appropriate for my son when it came out. At Comic-Con, he asked multiple Hasbro designers like Evan Brooks about seeing Rescue Bots in a Generations-style. I showed him this Legacy design and he's so excited.

But realizing because of the medical tie-in, this might be a Walgreens exclusive hurts my soul. lol.

I had a list during Prime Wars --

Heatwave via CW Hot Spot
Blades via CW Alpha Bravo
Chase via CW Dead End
Boulder via CW Rook
Morbot via CW Dragstrip
Salvage via CW Hot Spot or CW Long Haul
Blurr via Breakdown
Quickshadow via Breakdown
Servo via TR Ravage

Makes me wonder if any recent figures have had Rescue Bots characters as alternate head sculpts.

I admit, Tarn looks good. Good poseability is a strong selling point with me. I'm still not going to get Coronation Starscream just to get the throne though ;). There have been at least six of those warming shelf at the Walmart near my realm for at least five months. Maybe if it goes on clearance. Walmart seriously needs to coordinate better with Hasbro regarding which figures they decide to overstock...

And STILL no "Cosmos". I thought it was supposed to be a "Walmart exclusive" in the States, but it's never shown up anywhere that can be seen, even their website has no sign of it. If it's supposed to be exclusive to Walmart, you'd think at least their web page would have it listed, even if only to say that it's out of stock...

I love the idea of the Legacy line living upto the title. Not just modernising older figures but producing unreleased ones. Especially those so close to the finished product as Marauder.

Did you ever check at the crack of dawn when the stores first open? Oftentimes, scalpers get there bright and early to snatch up things they know people want, especially short-packed items.

I could imagine more Generations Rescuebots not being far off. Maybe as part of an Amazon subline

Heatwave from Legacy Bulkhead
Chase from Earthrise Runamuck
Boulder from Kingdom Warpath (HEAVY retool)

Blades is a bit of a pickle. His helicopter mode isn't similar to any that we've gotten recently. Maybe they'll release an updated Cybertron Universe Evac soon and call a recolor of that close enough.

I got Dead End, Inferno, Starscream and Transmetal 2 Megatron today, and all four are great. Starscream is much better than the Thrilling 30 version, Dead End looks nice next to the other Stunticons, and I'm happy to have Inferno and Megatron seeing as I never had the originals when I was little.

He won't need to, if these are out in Hong Kong, he can just get it from Hasbro Asia like In Demand Toys does normally (this was why they were Shipping TF Selects Abominus before Takara themselves.) Its also why first sightings come from Singapore or the surrounding regions.

Plus, we've known that pvp gets his stuff from a website that we spoke about when Magnificus was leaked.

Honestly wasn't expecting any Rescue Bots in Generations until 2025-2030ish to capitalize on the nostalgia of that age group.

Legacy Wave 3 really did not need to go this hard on the Wave 3 beasts, but they did, and we have 2 positively spectacular figures. Inferno is trying really hard to unseat Jhiaxus as my favorite voyager, and Megatron is trying really hard to unseat Metroplex and Jhiaxus as my favorite figure of the line.

I definitely think Inferno is superior to Jhiaxus. And that's not a slight against Jhiaxus but high praise for Inferno. For me, best voyager so far since either ER Optimus or Megatron, or maybe Kingdom Blaster. And yes, I know Optimus was sold as a leader, but the base figure is a voyager.

-With enough different retooling, they could probably get both Heatwave and Salvage done using the Bulkhead mold as a base
-Agreed on Chase
-Boulder could maybe also be heavily retooled from Legacy Skullgrin, but it'd probably take just as much work as Warpath would anyway
-Blades' best bet may be to wait for a new Armada Cyclonus, since the transformation scheme and kibble would be mostly right
