Or you could buy one and leave some for others; or not, options you know.

Yes, options, as in I just posted the first option of where to buy a mass-retail, low-price point figure that is literally made for army-building which happens to be a term I learned here so I am far from the only person who does it. And if you clicked the link instead of worrying about my purchase you'd see there are plenty still in stock. As a matter of fact, the limit is now six, which I only brought up because the actual Amazon-exclusive two-packs have limits of 30 and not 1 or 2 like Pulse has been doing lately.

I have to double-check the date but when you posted the link that might have been the second time they came in-stock after selling out very quickly the first time. My point being is maybe when there's a figure this new maybe people shouldn't be buying more than one right away, see Cobra Island Cobra Trooper.

Eh, honestly I get the sentiment. I wouldn't walk into Walmart and grab every last one off the rungs. Heck, when I set out to get my five Slitherfangs I did it in two different trips to Target and left behind two or three each time. But this link had already been passed around Twitter, and after my purchase they still showed the same purchase limit. I wouldn't have posted it otherwise, nothing sucks more than finally finding a link and it is out of stock.

What's funny, I just checked the link and it now has a limit of 8. Who knows what's going on. Long week at work so I took it more personal than I should have ;)^

I probably should've mentioned this sooner but, no pics, the name is wrong, who knows what we're getting.

I'm dying here

But yeah, I figured for a $5.99 figure I'd take the risk. A bunch of their Kingdom listings today don't even have pictures, but they do have the right names.

That Optimus Prime may be the most expensive regular retail Optimus I've ever bought if I count everything. Yes, even beating MP-10.

ER Optimus.
Reprolabels.
3P dongle back-filler.
2 kits of Shapeways accessories.
Hasbro Pulse exclusive Centurion set.

The final result may be the BEST Optimus Prime toy I ever had since MP-10. The Reprolabels make everything POP. The only flaw of the repro set is the truck bumper is more apparent in robot mode because of it's more reflective surface. Still, the set is a must. Especially for the trailer.

Image

Getting a bit silly here with Centurion. Centurion will most likely go elsewhere after this.

Image

"BACK LIVES MATTER" said Jobby the Hong before s#!t began hitting the fan. Transformers are 3D objects and 3D objects are meant to be enjoyed from all angles. So that transformable back filler just make it PERFECT. Unfortunately, you still have to remove it for the head transformation step.

Image
Image

All the essentials tuck away nicely in the trailer. Roller peg in a bit loosely though.

Image

I chose the smootest finish for the Shapeway trailer parts. The vanilla trailer was silly looking with it's "wheels on stilts" style. I painted them myself. One of the part is a hitch extention so to add mobility to the hitched truck. Nothing is glued. Everything just peg in.

I'm very happy with the end result. Well worth the wait. But man, was it expensive... #-o

Yeah, but doesn't it feel good to know that you'll never need another g1 styled prime again? You're freed from hasbro's clutches ;)^

For that leader price, there is absolutely NO excuse for not including roller. Especially because it's all gray plastics painted blue. Plus the trailer should have been better made without the need of the Shapeway parts.

Never say never. But it may take YEARS before they come up with a better Generations mold. When the time come, I'll be getting it for sure. #-o

So even though we only got one reveal for Earthrise from the stream yesterday, and it wasn't a particularly surprising one since we already all but knew the Autobot clones were coming, I can't help but notice that it told us two things:
-With the clones being a GO set, that means that E28 is still a mystery
-The contents of the GO sets don't necessarily have to do with the planet each set is for, seeing as how we just got the clones as the set for a beast planet

The plot thickens...

I picked up Skylynx the other night, boy what a sight. I love how rock solid all the joints are, and the plastic quality and color is so lush. Only bit to complain about is the wings are a bit too heavy for some of the joints, but it still doesn't interfere with the posing terribly. Something I noticed is that he scales with Micromastercons waaay better then any other size class. I had Siege Megs (robot) and Sideswipe (vehicle) next to the shuttle/transporter mode and lets just say immersion shattered  The little racecar guys look perfect alongside him though. Kind of opposite the previous Commander, Jetfire, who I feel scales better with the non micro size classes

This is all sounding very nitpicky but Im just observing and thinking aloud. If super bizarre, outlier characters like this interest you OR you're really into space shuttles, Id say wait for a sale and pick him up!

The Lynx portion actually has storage for micromasters. I missed that on the first pass, somehow.

I was really hoping we'd get more Micromasters out of this line. Especially once they started the "combining" teams.

Yeah, it feels like quite a big tease. Most of the original Micromaster teams aren't complete, and we only got TWO combining teams so far, and neither of them are complete either. I hope one of the Galactic Odyssey sets is just a whole bunch of Micromasters, even if they are mostly repaints. I want at the very least to get completion on the teams they've started with Siege and Earthrise.

While i would love to finish some micro teams, and have enjoyed them for what they are, I anticipate a Galactic Odyssey micromaster set, which I do agree is coming, will pull a siege Micro set and start new teams as repaints, include Japanese characters, and maybe do a 3rd figure for a team but not complete all 4

There was a Target set last year that was repaints of the released Micromasters meant to complete some of the teams.

Except it didn't. Of the 10 micromasters, I think only 2 were actually part of 4 member teams where we had already gotten 2 members. i think 8 of them were starts of new teams, Japanese characters, or Ironworks designed to go with the base

If they used the Japanese team it was either because they lost the name, or didn't want confusion with the bases.

So my Airwave that I ordered from Gamestop and that shipped on the 6th ended up being "lost in transit." I have to say this is the first time in my life that anything like that has happened. Thankfully they refunded me.
With the retail stores continuing to drop the ball, I once again turn to Amazon, and they continue to be amazing. Two Airwaves will be coming to me (one for me and one for my son, whose birthday is coming up soon). So by the end of the week I'll finally have him lol. Silly, the hoops we have to jump through to get a figure sometimes.

Not in the case of Road Police, who was a Japanese-original Micromaster from 1992 with no Hasbro counterpart until 2004. And even then, the Siege Micromaster 10-pack kept him as Road Police.

They could take Direct Hit and... Power Punch (?) strip the cannon off of them and pain them orange to "get close to" the orange truck/crane-steam shovel set. Also shocked we didn't get any of the road bases... but that also would have required standardized "combiner" connection ports like the originals, whereas the free-styled the two (four) we've gotten.

I also feel the vechile ones like Flat Top were a real missed opportunity for a nice deluxe.

So I passed on ER Scorponok so I could buy a Botcon Scorponok, that would scale better with other figures. However, I really love ER Scorponok the more I see him, and I was wondering if anyone has pics of the together? Particularly of Botcon Scorponok posed on top of ER Scorponok's base mode.

For me, the "combining" teams seemed more like a homage to the Double Targetmasters than the Micromaster combiners. The latter were 'bots that became one half of a whole vehicle each, not two that could combine into a weapon.
