Is its class specified?

Because it would be nice if it's the proper voyager Pointblank, the one the designers wanted to make from the start.

Well, let's just wait for the actual reveal to see what this deluxe will really be.

Yeah, that's gonna be a helluva troop builder.

Looks pretty good, even if it's got a bit too much white on it. I thought it would be blue and gray. But the mold still holds up.

I'm still hoping they might retool the mold into TFA Omega Supreme eventually.

I'm sure the official PULSE announcement will be coming around 10am PST/ 1 pm EST (in about an hour and 40 minutes)

This titan looks great. It is a repaint of my favorite Titan toy, and based on my favorite TF character of all time... However...strangely enough, I have no desire to own it. In the original fiction, Omega was the only Guardian granted his own individual personality. I've never been into "troop builders", so this just isn't for me. Also while I do own (for better or worse) each Titan to date, space is becoming an issue, and I dont mind actually skipping this (even with the AIRLOCK capability). I will concede that if at some point, it drops to around $100 USD I may pick it up, but I'm fully prepared just to let this one go.

I'm merely getting The Nemesis to compliment The Ark. The only other Titans I would ever want are Metrotitan and Majin Zarak. If Hasbro/TT is going to go forward and beef up bots from other universes and sell them as "Titans" then I can easily pass. As it is, If I need space for The Nemesis, I can easily part ways with Cyberton Metroplex.

Seriously? We just got a Pointblank! I get it that he has some issues, but why bother releasing that one if a proper version is also on the way? Is Hasbro really that blatantly greedy?

I was hoping for the season 3 purple and gray guardian robots remolded to have fat guts. This new redeco isn’t accurate to the source material either. No sale unless a 3rd party manufactures a sumo upgrade.

I would have preferred the purple version as well, but hasbro wasn't going to make brand new parts for an obscure character when they had a ready to go mold, especially 1 of that size.

That Select version can't hold a candle to the original Omega, but I'm pleased to see one of the best Titan (or THE best Titan) ever to be re-released again.

I figured that’s why they were taking years to release the repaint. Oh well. No headless option either.

Depends on what they used as sources really. The deco is indeed from War Dawn, but the concept of a blue G1 Omega Supreme dates back to 2008's e-Hobby GADEP:

Image

The purple ones are considered distinct by TFWiki, as in contrast to the Autobot/Decepticon-led Guardian Robots, the so-called Dark Guardians were employed by the Quintessons.

Why does blue have to be my favorite color...

Might pick it up having passed on Omega. Supposedly £220 here though and I can't see the new colours justifying that price over the £130 Omega :(

*£220 at hasbro, £200 at indemand...yeagh easy pass at that price, hopefully it will end up like Black Zarak because £70+ more than Omega is a big NO

Perhaps they learned a thing or to from Black Zarak. I mean I know that required more extensive work, but the pre-order was almost a year in advance (10 months to wait), whereas this is just a little over a month.

Some fans were upset by the headsculpt we got with the original pointblank, and now Hasbro is releasing a version to answer that need. It's the same toy but with deco and head to match the Headmasters cartoon version, hence the name of the listing. Also, I thought wave 3 deluxes were hard to obtain, no?

The 1st Pointblank has been out long enough for them to acknowledge the negative response and implement the desired changes in such a short time? I just thought with all the steps a production usually requires, they had this version in the pipeline before the 1st got even released.

I didn't have any problems getting 2 copies through Amazon without delay. I can't speak to B&M distribution.

Neat deco and a pretty good reuse of a Titan mold, looks like we may start to see more of this. Though I'm not keen on the price enough to warrant a purchase nor do I really have the space for such large repaints. For OG Omega Supreme and Metroplex sure I'd make room for those. Probably would have for Unicron if I had known about that project in time.

Well, if you really want cartoon-accuracy, you should be asking for 2-foot-tall Action Masters since the Guardian Robots were built by the Quintessons as the Dark Guardians, and thus predated the art of transformation, and thus couldn't transform.

Omega Supreme was the only one who was able to, and look at how much his body had to go through to make that possible. ;)

You’re right. I’m actually not opposed to the idea of Action Masters for characters that never transformed in the cartoon. I would buy Trans-Organics, Deceptitran, Quints, Dark Guardians/Guardian robots etc., and double dip on the figs I already purchased in 3D if they were made into plastic.

I don't think this one exists explicitly as a result of what fans asked, and I didn't mean it as such. I just meant that some fans wanted a different point blank and this one will answer that want/need. There will be 2 point blanks just like there are 2 cyclonuses, that's how I see it.
