The 1st Pointblank has been out long enough for them to acknowledge the negative response and implement the desired changes in such a short time? I just thought with all the steps a production usually requires, they had this version in the pipeline before the 1st got even released.

I don't think this one exists explicitly as a result of what fans asked, and I didn't mean it as such. I just meant that some fans wanted a different point blank and this one will answer that want/need. There will be 2 point blanks just like there are 2 cyclonuses, that's how I see it.

I mean heck I remember Studio Series Grindor being a minor redeco of Blackout but used the opportunity to retool the hands, this doesn't really seem that wild to get a new Pointblank soon that'll address the articulation issue. I personally didn't find it that bad but, hey, if they wanna make an update on that mold and are confident it'll sell, why not? Maybe the price point might even chuck in the engine gun as originally planned too.

I'm glad were not getting a FAT Guardian. I'm glad Omega Supreme has a body like what I aspire to be, more than what I actually am ;)

How do you feel about fit in shape Sharkticons?

I was thinking that all the extra stuff for a Guardian wasn't necessary, yet I believe it's pretty much all needed to form the actual bot. lol So there wouldn't be any way to eliminate much from this set to make the price point more attractive, or to promote troop building. At $200 that's just not feasible, perhaps if they could have got him in for $125-150 it would have been more of a possibility.

I wonder if this repaint is cheaper than simply creating a new non transforming mold?

As many bemoan the price, equal if not more will bemoan a cheaper non-transforming new mold. ;)

In-fiction, they're "Generation 2" Sharkticons. A new model designed for a whole new generation of Quintesson ambition.

Yeah I get it. I was just trying to get it straight whether the newer figure is in response to fans' reaction to the previous one or if it was already planned to be released no matter what. FWIW I'm happy with the 1 we already got, but I get why others weren't satisfied.

I'd imagine especially for people not really in the loop - "Why is this based off a toy release from a few years ago that could transform?" and probably consider just forking up cash to get one that can actually transform.

I love Action Masters but...this ain't RED! (I am also one of those people that prefer Transformers that can transform as much as I love Action Masters. :-P )

Nobody here could answer that question in full confidance, but Hasbro is very receptive to questions these days. When the new one is revealed, you or someone else could ask on instagram if it's a response or was always going to come. I think that since the headsculpt is pre planned, they were always going to release 2 versions

I'll also be passing on this one. I had actually sold my copy of Omega to make shelf space for the Ark, which I found to be a better figure (overall). So I doubt I'll get the Selects blue revamp.

They did also announce "Origins Jazz" as well, along with the Guardian Titan. The Guardian is still available for pre-order on Hasbro Pulse. Jazz is already sold out. Go figure!

And I understand tht, but since Guardians didn't technically transform I don't see the issue in that regard. That said, yes you're buying a "Transformer" for a reason.

Maybe they should have redesigned it a bit so it wasn't a direct copy of Omega Supreme in alt mode. Though I guess that defeats the "repaint/cash grab" aspect of the release. lol

I dunno. The e-HOBBY release of the original mold is also pretty expensive.

And of course there's the infamous Noizemaze Mass Production Type Version from Galaxy Force.

Ark, better than Omega? BLASPHEMY! :michaelbay:
But seriously, I was surprised at this opinion. It's clearly not the consensus. :-?

One thing is sure though. As a collector, shelf space is indeed an eternal battle.

^TRUTH 100%

As I said earlier, if I part with any Titan, It will be Cybertron Metroplex. Of course it depends on what the Mainline Titan for the 2024 line will be. As of now, other than my personal wants, I have no clue what it could potentially be.

Metroplex now sell for around 500$ now. And easily.
Mine was yellowing and full of dust, no box, yet I still received 300$CAN in store credits at my local Geek Store.

So that Generations Metroplex of yours, if you don't really care about it that much, SELL IT. Now is the perfect time before a redo of him comes out.

Cybertron Metroplex is this year's titan: Metroplex from the 2006 Cybertron show.

Fuk! I missread.

I thought we were talking about Generations Metroplex, the first titan that was sold for the outrageous price of 100$ at the time. #-o

Well, I wonder if/when Legacy Cybertron Metroplex will increase in value? The OG toy did so maybe this one too down the line?
I also wonder, is that mold (or the 2006 version) Select-able? :-?

Yeah.....No way I'm parting with my T30 Metroplex  . Despite it's criticisms, it's still a highly desirable part of my collection.
